personally i don't like Uatu at all. i think he rarely makes a difference big enough to win a game. there's only a 5/12 chance he's in your starting hand turn 1 to see the 2 extra locations, and how often will knowing the 2 unrevealed locations 1/2 turns earlier actually win you the game? very rarely imo. if you want another one drop, i'd replace with nightcrawler for sure.

and also i don't like ironheart without odin / more 1 drops (or at least squirrel girl). it feels so bad dropping him on curve for only +4 (or in the worst case, +2)

I think Ironheart is okay in these early decks without Odin because not taking up a spot in your lane is an underrated perk. You're often only playing for 2/3 lanes so putting Ironheart in the 3rd lane to buff your other two leaves you more spots to play more stuff in your real lanes.

Level 30, 94 CL and I've started running into quite a bit of BM during matches. Why the fuck do multi-player communities have to be so fucking toxic.

Onslaught and Iron Man is hilarious though. I had one game they boosted a spot to 200.

But I see your point. I really love Onslaughts design, what are some ongoings I could slide in to keep him?

With the location that gives 100 for the winning player that would boost you to 300.

You can post emotes and pre written messages if you click your avatar during a match.

sometimes when the other person snaps first and then they lose I do the little emote of Thanos snapping

but 90% of my interaction is just doing the Spider-Man pointing meme when the other guy plays the same card I play

i had one match where we did it like three turns in a row and both kept doing the emote each time. It was fun.

I would immediately say that if you're going to use Kraven and Wolverine, you want some more movement or destroy options. Carnage and Deathlok are your key ones for destroy.

Iron Fist over Squirrel Girl probably if you're going to run movement ones. I'm not as familiar with movement cards, but if you want to go all in on that, you'll want more.

I'd say drop the move stuff and just go full Kazoo/Blue Marvel/Onslaught buff deck.

I'd actually recommend that to everyone looking for a pool 1 deck.

Very few things are more satisfying than someone building up this team of 1 costs & Kazar and then tossing down a Killmonger to just wipe the whole thing out.

If you stay in pool 1 you don't have to worry about Killmonger... for the most part. I'm sure if you make it high enough you'll get placed against pool 2 anyway.

Yup. That's me too

The other 10% is split between the other emotes. Usually when they do it first at some point Ill express myself back with an emote that fits. Sometimes I fist bump if we have similar strategies or they buff my guys somehow like their Scarlet Witch randomly swapping a terrain

I think I've only ever did a text one one time. I remember them saying "I am losing." and me saying "I don't believe you." (And sure enough they won)

Literally did not know non emote interactions existed maybe I would notice more BM if I read them (don't plan to read them)

I feel you, a big 12 power beater at the end feels so good. But I think this deck is very synergistic.

Jesus, Killmonger is my favorite card now.

I just let them build up with all of these Kazar kits and Blue Marvel and Ant-Man stuff (all in this one game) and I wait until the last turn and drop him to destroy all of these 1 cost cards they are running.

I kept using him early and people would retreat, so I'm just saving him for the end now. Just completely hilarious seeing the whole strategy collapse on all of their locations.

(bought the season pass lol) feel like this isnt the most synergized deck but its very satisfying when it all comes together

One thing Ive learned over the past week is pay attention to when they have a featured location thats going to show up a lot and build a deck around that, shot up 5-10 levels on the last one with the +5 energy

Collection Level 163 and still no Rocket. Why is it always my favorites...

One neat thing about the game is how some things are specifically themed. Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur are designed to pair with each other. Gamora, Star-Lord, Groot, Mantis and Rocket all have matching abilities of getting bonuses from gambling on where your opponent places their card.

oh hey I played my first match with a Moon Girl/Devil Dino and won with two 17-power Dinos

The leaked Black Panther card is a 4/2 that doubles it's power when you play it. So he synergizes with Nakia and Okoye buffing him while he's in your hand. But that could change before he gets released.

I'm sure he'll be the season pass card for next month to go with the movie.

Watched this guy play every card in the danger zone and it destroyed 4 of them and then he ragequit

Hot early collection pro tip: its more credit efficient to level common to uncommon than any other leveling, so try making a deck out of only unupgraded cards

then every match you play (if it makes it to turn six) will get you a new collection level!

and hey, even if the deck seems shitty you might still win. I got some wins with total garbage decks. just need to make sure youve got a playable range of energy costs.

But I just had my first match where the person waited out the timer on every turn. It was awful.

it's technically optimal to wait out the timer every turn (and especially on turn 6) because if they snap and instantly lock in after while you've already locked in, you can't retreat before the cubes double.

of course i would never do that because i'm wildly impatient and often overconfident. but they really ought to unlock you after your opponent snaps so you can confirm whether or not you want to retreat afterwards so there isn't any advantage gained by stalling the entire timer out every turn

40/120 so far, kinda hoping I get more cards or more complete cards before ranking up further haha

I unfortunately made the mistake of playing a match earlier while waiting at the dentist's office, and then got called in around turn 5, and didn't think to retreat so I ended up having to time out and lose by default. Felt awful for whoever was on the other end having to wait for it to just time out. Felt extra awful because I was absolutely going to win

Yeah it should be easy enough to implement some countermeasure to this and I hope they do so less people run the timer down

I mean it has never mattered to me and will never matter because if I'm gonna retreat I'm probably doing it if they snap or not

But the timer scamming is annoying

I think a play on but retreat if the enemy snaps option would be more useful than the current retreat later option.

that's definitely trouble I run into sometimes

I WANT to have all the X-Men in my deck but that is not a feasible deck

So, has anyone run into the location Ego or the TVA yet because I just ran into them in the same game. Ego was the first location and the TVA was the second location and so we didn't get to play our hands and the game ended on turn 4.

I havent played a game with it but I know about Ego

I got Ego once, TVA a few times

Ego made some really non-optimal plays for me. It was frustrating.

how long are locations featured

48 hours I believe. And yeah this location kinda sucks. Discard cards seem to be good here though because your deck is probably built around discarding and the opponent's deck is not so they can't play those cards easily.

CL 2952, just finished my collection! Also hit rank 70 for the season and doubt I'll be able to get any higher. I really wanted that Venom cardback but I don't think it'll happen.

Alright, I have 3 cards left to get in pool 1 and one of them is Rocket.

10 bucks it's literally the last one I get in pool 1 lol
