Finally got a Destroy card so I can get my last mission done

I started playing this yesterday.

I'm like rank 32 now

I pulled Heimdal and Dr. Strange which gave me juuust enough movement to make the deck work. It's inconsistent, but those games where I completely blindside someone by abandoning the rightmost location on the last turn are hilarious. Forge/Hulkbustered Multiple Man is also stupid when it works.

So was I reading there is a reason I should stop getting collector levels for a bit? Or maybe I misunderstood?

I'm at rank 47 right now and collector level 212. I read you move to pool 2 cards at 214 but does that alter matchmaking (and does that particularly matter)

From what I understand it also takes your W/L into account when matchmaking but pool is the bigger factor. A strategy is to hold off right where you are, till you are able to get a bunch of CL at once, that way you aren't stuck playing pool 2 with pool 1 cards for a time.

Yeah. I think I'll do that then. I'm enjoying my decks right now don't need more cards for them to work. Like Sabretooth would be cool but eh. Would rather push hard into pool 2 when ready. Doubt I'll be able to push much further than rank 50 this season but you never know.

I'm having a bunch of fun with Hobgoblin now that I just unlocked him.

Just taking up someone's last spot with this shitty -8 card is awesome.

I can't express the joy of the flip side on that.

They play Hobgoblin on a location the same turn I fill that location and they get stuck with him.

Also if I could make one change to this game it is to make Devil Dinosaur cost 6 instead because having two DD on two different locations because of Moon Girl is miserable.

Yeah Moon Girl/Devil Dinosaur decks are just awful

Does anyone know if you enter pool 2 when you've gotten your last pool 1 or is it when you get your first pool 2 card?

Oh hey this copy feature is nice. Any advice for my deck currently? I've been having pretty good success with it. Debating replacing Elektra with another 1 star. I also always feel I need another turn to do shenanigans with lower cost characters the last turn, so I haven't been running with a 6 cost one. I also use Enchantress to try countering DD/MG decks to decent success.

It's tough making suggestions in this game because everyone's collections look so different. But I'd still consider adding Chavez or maybe Iron Man to your deck somewhere, probably over White Tiger.

America Chavez is nice because she doesn't clutter up your hand until turn 6 and with your particular deck you're probably always going to want to draw something big on Turn 6 instead of drawing Nova or something. Sure you might not end up playing her very often but it'll be nice when you do.

If you'd rather play something cheaper then Jessica Jones is a solid 4 cost instead of Tiger. Tiger without Odin is not really worth playing I think. Consider that JJ is a 4/8 (and Tiger is technically a 5/8) but you actually get to decide where you want to play her.

And Iron Man can win lanes by himself on turn 5 with a cheap card. Your opponent is going to be too scared to play into an Iron Man lane that they usually just abandon if they're down.

Forge + Mr Sinister works pretty well. Forge also works decently with carnage because carnage can eat Forge. I kinda like Odin with enchantress (and obviously white tiger) because it lets you potentially counter Devil Dinosaur or Iron Man on turn 6 while dropping her on turn 4.

Just ideas based on things I've seen in pool 1 (not familiar with pool 2 meta much)

I honestly don't end up using White Tiger much, but I like to use her to shred with Carnage or fodder for Deathlok, but that makes a lot of sense. I can see Iron Man, JJ, or Chavez being better options.

I hesitate to use Odin because on reveal effects include the destruction ones like Deathlok and Carnage. So if I need to drop him somewhere it can potentially ruin me.

Just did some googling, I guess from 214 and below you are in pool one, so once you hit 215 you start in pool 2. Meaning you can play in pool 2 matches without having any pool 2 cards

I feel like Deathlok isn't worth it generally. I guess you're mostly using him to have more ways to kill Nova? I dunno I don't think I'd slot him. If you only have carnage then you just need respect carnage's space and Odin is usable but I dunno.

theres subdivisions within pool 2 so you wouldnt play against anyone with the entire pool unlocked. Youll only play against people with like 1-3 pool 2 cards at first.

of course you might get the shit ones first and they might get the good ones first, but thats card games for ya

Yeah, mostly to kill Nova or send Wolverine somewhere else. 3/5 isn't too bad either!

Bucky Barnes is the main one. I think theres another good one but i cant remember off the top of my head

Oh, yeah! I'm using Bucky still! He's another reason I use Deathlock as well, because having 5 and then a 7 there in the same turn is pretty great.

Deadpool and Sabretooth looked interesting to me but not sure they're pool 2

Deathlok is fine because there's just not enough ways to kill your board. The bigger target you're trying to kill is Bucky over Nova.

The only pool 2 card you might slot into a Destroy deck is maybe Sabretooth.

It'll take a while until you can start getting some pool 3 cards like Death, Venom, Deadpool. Mostly the destroy package is just good to fit into other decks like Kazoo decks.

Nova, Bucky, Carnage is a good 1-2-3 combo you'll get often that gives you 13 power on a lane on turn 3. Or maybe more if you fit in another 1 drop on turn 3.

I've been hoarding gold for variants but I think best bang for your buck is missions if you don't care about variants

Don't use credits on the shop upgrades is the biggest advice I'd give you though. That's what set me behind on credits early. If you're just patient and play games it's better.

just spend gold on credits if you dont care about variants. You can buy either the 150 credit one or the 500 one because theyre the same ratio

I've always used gold to just buy credits to increase my collection level more. Now that I only have 2 cards left to unlock I might start saving it up for variants though.

If you buy 2 mission refill for 120 you usually get 150 credits from mission completion bonuses. Sometimes more. But I dunno maybe the 150 credits are safer.

Of course to test myself I bought one and got 100

Guess I just got lucky with Hards before lol. Scrap my mission rec lol

My main deck I usually rely on:

1- Ant-Man
1- Mantis (sometimes Hawkeye)
1- Nightcrawler
2- Angela
2- Star-Lord
2- Scarlet Witch
3- Ironheart
3- Bishop
3- Wolfsbane
5- White Tiger
5- Blue Marvel
6- Odin

The biggest combos I have obviously tend to be Odin with either Iron Heart, White Tiger or Wolfsbane

It's not really a solid theme there but I've tried building them a little more themed (discard/destroy with Apocalypse, Ongoings with any combination of Spectrum/Onslaught/Iron Man/Blue Marvel) but I always end up falling back to my main deck

I've only ever seen the Devil Dino/Moon Girl combo used once by an opponent so I'm surprised there's so much hate for it

It probably averages to 100 but I've gotten 200 before, and 100 just now.

But maybe those season caches are good at the end of the track?

They can be good but you'll also get a lot of boosters:

So if you cram a lot of mission refreshes into a single season it may be slightly better than the 150 credit packs. Like 10 refreshes you'd get about a level.

Yeah, personally not worth the effort to me. I'd probably only buy mission refreshes if you're going to be short of the weekly 25 missions.

Well, I FINALLY got Cosmo. But he's definitely not fit for my shitty zoo deck. But I'm using him anyways because I want to upgrade him.

Onslaught and Carnage don't seem to be doing much for you in that deck. The only ongoing cards you have are Fantastic and Iron Man. Maybe swap Hulk for Blue Marvel and Carnage for Angela? I'd also probably swap Uatu for Nightcrawler if you put in Angela.

I've also never been a big fan of White Queen, what are you really hoping she copies for you? Their big expensive card probably isn't going to even fit with your deck in the first place. So I'd consider Jessica Jones over White Queen.

I had a pretty funny one where neither of us placed a card in a location (it was the one where it blocks placement from turns 3-5), and he used Scorpion and put my Hobgoblin to -9 instead. On the last turn I played him in the empty location, and then I played Squirrel Girl in another location.

He played America Chavez and with my Hobgoblin had 0. My one squirrel got 1 and won the location and the win. He felt so confident too and we had a double snap.

I am with skullbone that onslaught and carnage esp are kind of dead weight. If you really want to use onslaught, I would swap hulk for blue marvel as skullbone mentioned. Carnage is like...basically any other 2 drop would be better? I really like cable because I like more cards in my hand to choose from but carnage is basically going minus in card advantage in this deck for the same power.

My general thoughts early on are that I just use Nightcrawler and Jess Jones in a lot of decks and they just seem pretty solid, the former especially I think just seems perfect regardless of location

quicksilver and nightcrawler are basically my go-tos. Nightcrawler is just so versatile, it's basically only a dead draw on t6 imo.

Just had a match where the right turned into "play a random card here for each player" on Turn 5, and it turned a location I was winning into a loss by giving me a Yellowjacket and them a Rescue, lol.

I feel like Apocalypse has peaked with this win. Incredible. He thought he had it with Iron Man but turns out flat 30 was just a bit better.
