Unless these Clandestine arent the first ones in this dimension, the concept of djinn would predate them by a long time. Biggest complaint was that they really needed more connective tissue between the end of WandaVision and Wanda going genocidal. I mean yes, losing her kids (only to discover they still exist out in the multiverse) brought her grief to a new level + Darkholde corruption, but there could've been a little more. I thought that's where they may have been going when Xavier jumped into her mind, but nope. I'd be curious to know if there are some deleted scenes that may have helped. The Illuminati was fun and I wouldn't mind Krasinski being 616 Mr. Fantastic too. Kinda surprised they actually brought Anson Mount back as Blackbolt. With Phase 4 seemingly doing a lot to establish the new Young Avengers, after WandaVision, I was really expecting this movie to properly introduce Billy and Tommy into the MCU, as like adults or something. Although on that token I feel like Multiverse of Madness has made for an effective enough introduction to the multiverse idea seeing how this is the first time a character from the main universe is travelling through it (as opposed to a time-displaced Loki finding out about it through sheer happenstance, a cartoon showing off other universes, and characters from prior film continuities showing up in the MCU), and in hindsight I feel like the criticism that the movie doesn't do "enough" with the multiverse concept may be more because of how the whole idea has become more common in media as of late, e.g. Crisis On Infinite Earths, Into the Spider-Verse, Everything Everywhere All At Once. That's another reason I feel like The Flash is doomed even discounting other PR headaches, but that's another topic. Speaking of, I've seen Into the Spider-Verse twice and both times only found it decent. I understand that but didn't really feel that way when I was actually watching the film. I suspect more will come eventually and that this movie was meant as an introduction. Let's be honest: No Way Home only really used the multiverse for the sake of fanservice. This movie at least used it for the more fulfilling purpose of cosmic horror. I get the feeling John Carpenter would be proud. Oh maybe Leon took issue with me bringing up other films for comparison. Might be getting too many ideas from TV Tropes. Or maybe it was me bringing up The Flash again. [Marvel & Kenobi spoilerz] ~~Clandestines suddenly appearing in Pakistan reminds me so much of Reva just warping to Tatooine~~ man I can't wait for She-Hulk to give us more breathing space within a series --- I request affiliated many pipes. Next ep's apparently starting into time travel so it doesn't feel like we'd be heading home soon but then it'll be the finale and what endgame is even being set for that? Like there's been some neat stuff but for every neat thing it introduces there's even more that's either tonally inconsistent or just doesn't make sense. The Clandestines are somehow a less interesting and more nonsensical villain group than the Flag Smashers were in FatWS.
