also my fears have been confirmed, I am not feeling the Krasinski version of Reed. I really hope this was just a fun one-off goof and they get someone else for the main universe. I just cant believe him as the smartest man on Earth.
I actually thought he was great, since besides being the smartest man on Earth, there's gotta be a level of smugness/arrogance that the actor needs to hit without it being overbearing, and I thought Krasinski did it very well. Like, there's a sweet spot with Reed where he isn't your typical movie arrogant, but he basically knows what he is and he's extremely confident in that, almost to a fault, so you need somebody that can play that up.
EDIT: I've always felt that with Reed, it's more important to have somebody that can play the role of believing they're the smartest/being very confident in that, over somebody who can just play the actual intelligence itself.
