Another of Gengar weaknesses I've noticed is shields. Unless I'm crazy, if you hit a shielded opponent with sludge bomb, it doesn't do the dot because everytime, I lose my hex that way.

Also idk what the fuck item it was but there was a Lucario I went up against who just had a constant shield literally all the time and I was completely worthless against him.

Got together with some friends and played a few rounds of Unite as a team. Worked out pretty great. Actually being able to communicate and work together with friends made even difficult games a ton of fun.

In the long run, I think the control scheme is what's going to kill the game for me. I actually like a lot of the core mechanics, but nothing can change the fact that autotarget is unreliable at best.

Any time the loss was that bad for me it turned out to be a bot match. You can tell if you try to click on any opponents names, if theyre real it will bring up a menu to Add Friend but if theyre bots it will just make a sound effect but no menu
