So you would just see an opponent has "eevee" on the load screen and they would have options for which form to take? Or would they be committed from the beginning?

Ideally you'd see Eevee on the load screen and they would make their pick in-game, realistically I think they'd have to commit in character select.(in that regard it could still just show up as an Eevee on load screen so opponents don't know right off the bat who they are up against.)

As cool an idea as picking an Eeveelution mid-game would be, it's not just a balancing nightmare, but probably a programming one as well. It sounds like it'd be similar in function to Lux's Elemental ultimate skin in LoL, where the game has to load in 8 separate characters to account for evolution choices you might make during the game. The Riot devs said since that it was a victory of concept over viability, and whilst cool was also highly impractical and bloated the game, which is a prime factor in why their subsequent ultimate skins have been a lot more toned down.

Once you get access to Held Items you can pick up a Float Stone. And then once you hit level 9 you can start to upgrade your held items and you'll want to get your Float Stone to level 10 before putting points into anything else. That will help a lot with the movement speed issues.

So, when you have one player who insists on trying Zapdos when you really shouldn't be, do you just let them fail on their own or is it better for everyone else to just risk Zapdos anyway even if the chance of it getting stolen is pretty good?

Always play along your team even if they do something stupid. Even a bad plan is better than no focused plan at all.

And when it comes to Zapdos I generally just play defense around it and attack the other team so they can't do anything.

I know it's 82 from 1-10 and an additional 485 from 10-20 but I don't have a link for that.

So you can take nearly 5 more items to 10 in the cost to take one up to 20.

And there is no sense going past 20 until you have everything you want there.

I really wish the game had a better tutorial for how to play around Zapdos. The tutorial shows both teams cooperating to defeat Zapdos and it shows.

Finally got a group with the lead to camp the brush to Zapdos. But after getting a pick, instead of pushing the other team away, they all run off to do Zapdos. Which leads to a Snorlax walking up, stealing Zapdos. And then game over for no reason. There just isn't a tutorial for people on how not to throw the game. They just know they really want to attack Zapdos.

you can press X i think during selection to switch to a window to pick from instead of the list. i havent used it since ive only used 1 mon so cant say how good it is
