I wasn't so sure of it at first but by the end I was really enjoying it. The WW2 Captain America stuff has never been my favorite so I'm sure it'll just get better from here.

I enjoyed it. It wasn't anything groundbreaking but it was just a fun romp.

Also Peggy straight up murdering people, I guess once it's animated you're all good.

Iron Man Steve really felt outta knowhere for me, like that's a pretty quick development for an alternate scenario. Also made the change of getting the Tesseract feel insignificant that it only led to an Iron Man suit to be immediately recaptured back to Red Skull.

I thought it felt very contrived. As others have said, the voice acting could have been better, but I thought the writing was the worst aspect.

iron man steve was in the comic Bullet Points which is an oft-forgotten mini series where all the heroes get mixed up, like Peter Parker becoming the hulk

That's cool, it makes sense she'd come back. "What If Captain Carter lead the Avengers" is a good hook. Be interesting to see if things diverge more from that point.

They're definitely shipping her with either Tony or Thor.

If they are doing multiple seasons of What If this episode is better in hindsight because it establishes her story.

Captain Carter was fun. A little too hokey with the writing but I loved her kicking ass.

There's some interesting stuff in the first episode but the pacing was way too quick and the voice overs are questionable. I hope the other episodes are better.

Black Widow was always going to be one the worst grossing, but delaying for over a year killed whatever hype it had, and D+ day one killed whatever burst it would have had out of the gate.

It was doomed from the rip.

yeah I checked the movie board and thats what theyre talking about

the sources on it seem sketchy in the first place (some random Disney focused website, a video by a shitty YouTube dude) but if the story is true, its not that she let go from the project... the entire project has been cancelled.

Yeah I found out from Geeks + Gamers and WorldClassBullshitters. Nowhere else have I found anything else regarding her being let go.

also tangentially related, Emma Stone has signed on for a Cruella 2. She was theoretically in a similar position to Scarlett with regard to the streaming release messing up her compensation, but they seem to have worked it out.

You're talking about fried calamari. The word calamari to refer to any squid as food has been in use in the English language since the 17th century.

ok yeah, I couldnt quite tell if non-fried calamari was being eaten in America at the time or not. I saw something about an attempt to push squid as a food option here in the 70s that made me think it would be very uncommon in the 40s, but I guess he could still know the word anyway.
