It's ok for a game to be like a month or even half a year bh tbh. PAD and Arknights are 2 good examples. But 3 years? That's really pushing it. If you accelerate a month of being bh, then you run into the situation where localization isn't on the same pace and people can't get used to a sudden halt in progress. But 3 years of content that you accelerate will not catch up to JP within a year or 2, and considering they have banners for like 2* characters and shit, it's not a stretch to say they should combine a few of the 3* and 2* banners lol. I heavily doubt those 2* banner weeks are profitable.

There's no real justification other than Crunchyroll wanting this to be a cash cow for 3 years minimum at the cost of the users, when making a better game will probably last them longer

That may all be true. If Crunchyroll can hit the right balance where they pick up the pace compared to JP but don't rush it way too much, then that would obviously be the best option. But I'm not sure they're capable of hitting that right balance, and of the two extreme options (following JP exactly like FGO or rushing too fast like MagiReco) I'd much prefer the slower one that I haven't been personally burned by in the past.

I don't see what's wrong with being years behind, the servers aren't shared. We get steady content still, I can actually read it for once, and I prefer that over speedrushing to catch up and having no time to do most of the things they're crashing through.

But it's been like 2 weeks, and I'm already seeing unequippable slots due to lack of content lol. I don't get how starting a game with god forbid like a year worth of content to last both slow and fast players a long time would actually hurt us?

Also it's not like I spent much time on it either. I log in twice a day, use up all the skips and room stam/tickets, do the arena early so that 5 mins pass while doing other shit to do arena again to do it about 4 times a day, still getting rank 2000 and stuff.

But games that died from a slow content drip despite there being a superior servers have all actually sped up. You might not have seen em but Arknights did it, E7's JP server did it

I think we can also all agree that several 2* banners can be merged with 3* banners. They don't censor the animated splash art so they honestly have no excuse to slow drip it. It's not like Priconne floods the game with a ton of content bi-weekly like say GT does or something.

I'm in the complete opposite boat. The majority of the gachas that I've played global versions of have made some sort of conscious effort to have the global version move quicker and get closer behind JP. Some have done well and survived, like Revue Starlight ReLIVE and Girls' Frontline, while some have failed horribly, like the aforementioned Magia Record. The only ones I've played that didn't rush global to catch up are the ones that launched in JP and global at the same time and didn't have a choice, like Fire Emblem Heroes and Tales Of Crestoria.

I've actually never played a gacha whose global version released later and didn't try to catch up, so if PriConne decides to take it slow and maintain the same pace as JP, that would honestly be a refreshing change of pace for me.

Yes, those are limited. PriFes also has doubled rates, so saving up for a spark is usually worth it anyway.

I say that, of course, but PriPeco's PriFes left me particularly sore, because I went 100 rolls without one rainbow, the one I was aiming for (Neneka) showed up at 280 rolls, and I ended up sparking PriPeco herself.

Traditionally, I have horrible luck during Fes gachas in any game, so don't take my word as gospel.

Im in the hoping they dont try too hard to catch up camp. Rolling some 2* rate ups into a 3* should be fine though. Im used to having multiple new units release at the same time anyway. Then again thats in AL where, sure they have six units in a rate up but, they shower you with cubes and Destiny Child where currency is so plentiful that 30k max to guarantee getting both rate up characters barely dents the 300k gems I have.

Azur Lane went too fast at some points though and it was really rough. Major event followed right after by another major event really sucked.

Duly noted. My goal is to have 45k jewels in hand for the release of both Peco variants and Grea, just in case I get unlucky and need to spark any of them. I'm at 21k right now and not pulling until Summer Peco arrives, so do you think I can make it to 45k before she comes?

Man drop rates like that are really making me wonder if I should stick with the game. I hate arena modes where its all auto, and hate even more 3 team arena <_<

Unless something drastic happens I think I might just drop the game when my monthly card expires so I can focus on getting neko ship in Azur Lane.

We still don't know how Crunchyroll will do events. I guess after 2 weeks, we really getting a single fucking character and actually nothing else lmfao.

From Last Cloudia though, I don't really have high hopes.

Meanwhile I did a whimsical 2 full pulls, no 3* but I got a Shiori who I will build in anticipation for the event but... really quickly losing steam on this game. In 2 weeks, I'm like 90% sure I'll drop it

I just did the math. 24k jewels gets you 160 individual pulls in this game, and with 160 pulls and a 0.7% rate to pull the rate-up character, you have a 67.5% chance to pull at least one copy. Of course, that also means you have a 32.5% chance of not pulling any. To put that into perspective: The move Focus Blast in Pokemon is infamously nicknamed and memed as "Focus Miss" because pretty much no one trusts its accuracy... and it has a 70% accuracy with a 30% chance to miss, which is better odds to hit than that person had at pulling Jun in 160 pulls.

So yeah, I'm not pulling for anything until I have enough for a spark.

The two Persona 5 banners are detailed in Dragalia Lost now, will definitely go all in on Part 1. Sucks that Part 2 is just Ann on her own, but hopefully it works out. Arsene looks TASTY, though. Goodness.

If you have the time, I say go for it. I would just keep your main account linked and create a new crunchyroll account for rerolling a side account. That's what I did for a Jun+Nozomi+Rino account and it's been going swell.

Honestly, for PvE pushing all you really need to do is switch Karyl for Chika and Pecorine for Miyako.

Also, if Yui isn't doing too great with healing I'd recommend switching her out for Yukari. Yukari gets a strong single target heal and a TP regen for an ally as well as magic resistance for her ult.

It was my plan to build up others (Dungeons and Princess Arena necessitate needing multiple parties), I just didn't know how to prioritize beyond "one/two physical and magical tanks, one group and single target healer". DPS is a bit more scattered though because some are ranged glass cannons while others are frontline bruisers, and then there's single/AOE targeting, and *then* physical/magical damage, and *then then* other utility like status effects or buffs/debuffs.

Skip tickets give potions and bond boosting food to use in the guildhouse, so you don't totally lose out. If you tap on an enemy's icon during the stage selection, it'll tell you if they're physical or magical, and where they tend to attack so you can position your characters better.

Yeah, I noticed the potions and food, but I wasn't sure if the trade-off for skipping was comparable to doing it myself. Some gacha be like that where "quick = stingy" as if having finite skipping wasn't jerkish enough (though PriConne seems pretty generous with the skip tickets so far).

And thanks for the heads up on how to check enemies.

I've mentioned it before that rank X with full equipment gives better stats than rank X+1 with no equipment or only 1-2 pieces. The only exception might be going from rank 6 to rank 7, because rank 7 unlocks a girl's EX skill that gives a massive stat boost once you pump mana into leveling it up.

I tried to pace myself with not ranking up until I had the next set of gear ready ...but unlocking new skills was too tempting so now I'm kinda stuck on rank 4 with gear pieces in a couple of slots.

The road to rank 7 will probably be a little more patient on my end.

Idunno how to feel about Dragon Quest Tact. I mean, I love DQ. I'm trying to like this but it's not doing anything for me.

Beyond the gameplay being "so-so" I think the other thing holding it back is that, well... unless you're *super* into collecting Dragon Quest monsters and nothing else, you're going to run out of units you want to chase and build real fast.

Hate to say it, but there's a reason why the genre has become 90% waifu and husbando collectors, where even there "F rank" units are at least nice to look at.

CB. I hear defense shred is king and stacks. So Jun+Makoto or other def debuffers plus Kaori's insane phys dps output can help do immense damage on bosses. Also in PvP Jun has crazy hax unlike others. She can be near death and be like "oh you think you got me?" then use her ult and be back above half health or near full.

She isn't necessary yes. But playing with her, she is just crazy good. Also full armor waifu for laifu

Is that an upcoming banner? I just downloaded the JP version to see what I could get and didn't see her. The JP version is insanely generous with over 21k gems to start and 10 free multis on the current banner. Rates are still garbage though, I got pretty underwhelming pulls considering all of the multis.

Cool. Will this have the 10 free multis as well? If so then I'll try rerolling again. Takes even longer on JP though due to the larger data.

Bleh, finally went ahead and ditched AFK Arena and Elune. Just wasn't getting any real fun or progress out of them for the amount of time and effort they demanded.

I think going forward as well that I'm going to auto-pass on any other gacha that does the whole "lets bloat the pool with dozens of deliberately hard-capped, shit-tier units that only exist to be meager fodder".

I get that every gacha game has units that aren't great, but you *can* still upgrade said units to max anyway, if only for completion or favoritism's sake. Stuff like gray/green/blue/purple/gold/red "quality" units just sucks because no matter how much you might like some of those grays, greens, blues, (and most purples), they'll always be garbage due to level, skill, or stat caps.
