Anna? Yeah I have her and love her to death. However, her self-destruction has a ton of flaws, one of which is when she's too far away, it doesn't hit anybody, which is unreliable. The other is to simply hit her with an active skill and kill her lul. If she dies b4 she can reach 10% hp, it doesn't activate.

What's your team and levels?

The team in question was Akino/Karyl/Kokkoro/Pecorine/Yui, all level 45.

And yes, I know it's probably asking too much of the starter characters+tutorial freebie, but for the longest time Peco & Yui were my only tank and healer, Akino was doing fine for a while, and Karyl is just me being stupidly biased, so they all kinda ended up soaking up more XP from early questing than they should have.

I also have at varying levels between 19 to 43:

Chika
Mahiru
Lima
Misaki
Suzume
Yori
Rei
Saren

Only have so many XP potions and mana to spread around though, and it seems that using skip tickets denies you character/bond XP, so if I want to build anyone up, they have to go into combat directly with varying degrees of success because I'm not accustomed yet to which enemies are flinging around physical or magical damage, or how I'm crap at team synergy in general. (Bringing a tank and healer/support is obvious enough, but damage options have other factors to consider from range to type.)

I wasn't even aware you could get stat boosts at all, I haven't really touched the Story tab...

Guess that explains part of my difficulty problem, the other being that everyone is still at their initial * levels, but that's not something I can easily control. (I only just recently cleared Pecorine's hard quest.)

Honestly, for PvE pushing all you really need to do is switch Karyl for Chika and Pecorine for Miyako. Yeah this might stall you on progress for a few days to build them up but ultimately it'll be better for you in the long run.

Also, if Yui isn't doing too great with healing I'd recommend switching her out for Yukari. Yukari gets a strong single target heal and a TP regen for an ally as well as magic resistance for her ult. Whoever you use of the two, definitely get their 2 star ascension ASAP

Yukari and Yui are super easy to farm and get to 2 stars (Yukari from Dungeon Coins, Yui from grinding the Hard mode stage that gives her shards) and should be your top priority right now, but they're so easy to grind that you should absolutely not use divine amulets on them. Save your divine amulets for limited characters or characters whose shards only come from Clan Battles, since those are the hardest to farm efficiently.

If your team are only rank 4 or 5, then your other top priority should be getting ranked up more, and that most likely means putting Hard on hold for now so you can progress more in the Normal story and unlock the equipment you need to rank up.

You sure you're not misremembering and confusing it with another game (like Magia Record)? If I recall, Symphogear XDU was released in a lot of countries and didn't need a VPN to play from outside those countries if you downloaded an APK for the game either.

I mainly sub to it to find out about any hype games coming out but generally they're pretty fair. If a game has terrible practices, especially if they come from a bad dev like Nexon or Gumi or Netmarble, then they will shit on it pretty badly lol

Skip tickets give potions and bond boosting food to use in the guildhouse, so you don't totally lose out. If you tap on an enemy's icon during the stage selection, it'll tell you if they're physical or magical, and where they tend to attack so you can position your characters better.

So I have this fringe theory that will only work in a very specific echelon and time of Priconne arena.

So when you start facing opponents around lvl 50, you might start to encounter units with gold border instead of silver, which means that unit reached rank 7 and has their stat boost skill. This is threatening, but in reality, if they're below lvl 51 or even at lvl 51, there is a very very high chance that that unit is poorly geared and squishier than usual.

The biggest reason for this is that the gold rarity armor you can equip on rank 7 has a lvl 51 requirement. It's a massive stat loss from having the rank 6 armor to not having the rank 7 armor, which can make the difference between your AOE skill killing a backline unit and not

Anyways I've been beating the top entry in arena every now and then and getting massive ranking spikes lol

The base stats are higher each rank, but because you lose the equipment stats your total is lower until you equip new stuff.

Pretty much. I've mentioned it before that rank X with full equipment gives better stats than rank X+1 with no equipment or only 1-2 pieces. The only exception might be going from rank 6 to rank 7, because rank 7 unlocks a girl's EX skill that gives a massive stat boost once you pump mana into leveling it up.

Yeah it only applies to a very specific timing in which I'm in. Even lvl 52 units with gold borders in a team of like 4-5 units with gold borders are squishy. Possibly because there just wasn't logically enough time and stam to farm up gears for all of them, and if they did, they would not be at rank 52 or whatever.

Just keep all but maybe like 1 unit that'll never get hit at Rank 6 when you get around this rank, and I assure you, you'll be winning more difficult fights for a few ranks.

Also grotto drops x2 going on right now in Priconne. Seems to be only for the actual drops (exp pots, Mana) themselves and not skip tix, but the Mana amount is amazing so I'm not complaining lol

I did try a Floor 9 run using Electro as my main DPS on one party but I ended up just getting wiped by the lawachurl on the last level lol

Xinyan seems to be fairly well-regarded from what I've seen, though she does seems to be more physically skewed as opposed to being a proper fire DPS. I do have the prototype claymore though which seems like a pretty decent fit for her.

I couldn't last more than a day with it. I've never been a fan of the Dragon Quest aesthetic, and the game just doesn't interest me. Tactical gacha games need to do something to really stand out as they're not fun to grind compared to say, Azur Lane or Priconne. Langrisser did good for a while but the brutal gacha rates and massive grinding made it painful. FEH did a great job of simplifying the tactics while still being fun.

I think its because I never really planned to keep her in my team, so Im not investing in her for the long term. I know I want Jun, Christina, and Labyrista (sp?), so Im saving for them.

Amber isn't leveled, I -think- what you can do is use any Pyro attack to break ice shields reasonably quickly regardless of level (Sucrose may help if I can get her skills to swirl fire, but the system seems to be a little inconsistent there). The "you need to be using the right element to break the right shield type or your attacks are going to deal like 10% damage" is one of the things I dislike about the battle system. And yeah, Xinyan doesn't look that much better for this purpose honestly, but I have a feeling Amber is going to be even worse.

Granted I might still get stuck on the Lawachurl, but the possibility of more rolls if I can clear the stage is tempting. Floors 11 and 12 actually have easier enemy types for the party I have too, though I'm sure their numbers are significantly higher.

either way I'll be starting the artifact grind soon too, so that's even more pain to look forward to

Ughhh I don't want to wait so long for content for Priconne. I actually can't believe they might do a 2 week cycle, when gachas do this to actually give themselves reasonable time to create content. They're barely creating content, and personally they brought the censorship shit on themselves, and they're giving themselves 2 weeks per content. It's just laughable

They're not going to catch up. I think PriConne is going to pull the FGO plan and follow basically the exact schedule as JP did (with maybe some holidays shifted slightly because global started in January 2021 while JP started in February 2018) and constantly stay about three years behind.

I'd rather them do this than rush the global server too hard and end up closing the server a year in because the whales were dried up from too many important events in a row. YES, I'M STILL EXTREMELY SALTY ABOUT MAGIA RECORD. FUCK YOU ANIPLEX.

There were plenty of games that died from slow content drip cuz people eventually realized they can play on a superior server. Literally every game Crunchyroll has ever done (including Last Cloudia which followed the exact trends of this game and will probably follow the same fate months down the line), E7's JP server

There are more cases against it, and frankly Magia Record died for several other reasons I can think of

It's ok for a game to be like a month or even half a year bh tbh. PAD and Arknights are 2 good examples. But 3 years? That's really pushing it. If you accelerate a month of being bh, then you run into the situation where localization isn't on the same pace and people can't get used to a sudden halt in progress. But 3 years of content that you accelerate will not catch up to JP within a year or 2, and considering they have banners for like 2* characters and shit, it's not a stretch to say they should combine a few of the 3* and 2* banners lol. I heavily doubt those 2* banner weeks are profitable.

There's no real justification other than Crunchyroll wanting this to be a cash cow for 3 years minimum at the cost of the users, when making a better game will probably last them longer
