Well the hax would be the player manipulating values so it works when they're attacking. Wouldn't really do anything when defending since defenses are server sided. Sometimes certain comps do amazing even if they seem underpowered compared to yours

Anyone who tried the game and likes the story but ends up dropping it for gameplay reasons should go watch the anime instead. For that matter, even people who still keep playing the game should go watch the anime anyways because it's just that fun.

Eh, I wasn't getting any rewards out of the events after a while due to the game's stat scaling that made every battle impossible for me. And the collabs either required me to relentlessly grind for materials, or pay a hefty fine. (On top of not offering any characters I was particularly interested in.)

So yeah, I'm not going to miss anything I wasn't already being locked out of.

I've never given one single fuck about arena rankings in any gacha game I've ever played. I always just do the minimum amount of arena battles for daily/weekly challenges. I even auto-battle through arena battles if I have the chance, which leads to me doing worse due to sub-optimal targeting.

But somehow, as of today I have officially broken into S-Rank in Tales Of Crestoria's arena. I still don't really care, I just thought it was kind of neat.

Honestly yeah. PvP in gachas has always been do the minimum needed to get good amount of premium currency. I loved 7 Deadly Sins because you just needed to boost to a high rank early and then you could just chill there forever, doing fights only for the dailies but you never have to worry about deranking

Yeah, PriConne seems to be the same way. You get a lot of jewels for reaching a personal best rank, then you get arena coins and a few more jewels over time as you stay there. Theoretically, once you're at a satisfactory rank, you could just do one arena battle a day for the daily challenge. EDIT: I do remember hearing that PriConne resets all of the ranks eventually, but not for like... a whole year or so after launch.

Crestoria does it a bit differently. You have to do a minimum of 40 arena battles during a season (which lasts a week) to even qualify for the rewards each season. But I just leave the game to auto-battle them by itself (there's even a function to automatically start the next one until you run out of BP) to do 5 each day (the 5 BP max you start with) and then one random day I use a BP restore gel to do another batch.

For my other game... I literally don't even touch Revue Starlight ReLIVE's PvP. It has a daily challenge too, but I just don't even bother with it because that game has like 12 different dailies to do and the PvP one is the most annoying.

I like that Revue's PVP was changed to give out the reward boxes even on a loss. All I do is send out a level 1 2-star and throw every match. There's too many good items in the PVP shop to pass on

The daily quest clears even with a loss or forfeit, which is pretty low effort for 50 gems

My favorite of the three new Seiran girls is finally here and I have a ton of star gems saved up. I'm not sure if I want to keep saving my gems for a future new version of Karen or Nana (or a Starry Diamond re-run for Apollo Karen, the only version of her that I don't have) or go through with pulling for Suzu. Fuck it, I'm flipping a coin. Heads, I pull for Suzu. Tails, I hold back and save the gems. Let me go find a quarter in a drawer somewhere.

The flip was heads, so I went for it and started pulling. I went all the way to the guaranteed 4-star Brilliant Fest stage girl in the 12th and final step of the step-up gacha, spending about 22,000 star gems in the process...

I also got a bonus 4-star that I didn't have before and five other duplicate 4-stars along the way. So overall, I'm happy with the result. Time for me to complete the rest of my dailies in ReLIVE, use the last of my stamina in PriConne, and then I'm off to bed.

welp, after many tries I managed to get two stars on Spiral Abyss 9-1 and 9-2 in Genshin so I actually managed to get a big 50 Primogems before the rewards reset. Not ideal, but at least I got something for all the effort I put in lol.

Kinda want to roll on Xiao's banner for a Diona dupe, but Bennett is more important (and I'd much rather have Keqing than Xiao, though I'll probably skip both of them unless I hit pity early). Was sort of hoping they'd announce a Keqing buff given that she's generally regarded as one of the worst 5-stars, but no such luck I guess.

Did like 5 ten pulls in PriConne and got a Miyako. Pretty stoked, dunno if I'll keep pulling for Jun.

Think I'm gonna go with waifu over meta and start saving for the summer.

Electro reactions seem kind of weak on the whole, Superconduct usually doesn't do too much damage and the defense debuff only applies to physical for some strange reason, Overloaded does decent damage but the knockback is usually really annoying, and Electro-Charged seems like the best one but I don't think it can really be spammed like Melt/Vaporize since it's DoT. Keqing seems fine-ish otherwise but I don't have her so I dunno for sure. Still kind of vaguely hoping for an Electro buff like Geo is getting right now, but I doubt it. Maybe when we get the first limited Electro 5*.

I saw the new Arknights earlier, Saga and the new limited both seem interesting (though from using W, abilities that plop down summons can be kind of finicky if maps have a lot of undeployable tiles). I also like the fact that they finally seem to be moving more towards releasing multiple versions of characters, though Lava is probably one of my most disliked characters because she constantly shows up in Recruitment and waste your time with her obnoxiously long intro line.

Nio I haven't used in ages, Tiamat has replaced her in most teams now thanks to having FA heals (and I got a free C Seruel, so with his backline passive I get free Earth damage reduction). I haven't really touched Eternal 6*, still waiting to see what the full requirements are like. Though as of the latest notes I'm really glad I didn't since now you can reduce Silver Relic weapons into shards.
