I don't really have one? Of course there are individual songs I dislike but I can't think of a game where I felt the OST was just bad. Just kind of a level where it fades into oblivion in my memory because it's just not memorable at all to me.

...Like Warcraft III? Maybe? I can't think of any song there I liked enough to remain even slightly in my memory so maybe it wins by default? Pokemon TCG? Pokemon RBY?

i could not finish playing banjo kazooie because i thought the music was just too cheesy and fake and stupid and eventually couldn't stand playing it anymore. i love the game in every other way but wish like literally anyone else had done the soundtrack, just totally ruined it for me. the composition isn't even horrible, cartoony stuff is fine, it's just the fakeness and monotony of it all. maybe i'd like it if the instrumentation was more like super paper mario (one of my favorite soundtracks ever) or something

there's other game music / full soundtracks i like much less, but none i'm aware of where it's to a type of game i'd normally love that much, so i have a more personal frustration with banjo kazooie than anything else

if it's bad i usually just lower the volume or focus on something else and it just fades away so i legit don't know.
Drakengard, maybe? can't say i played much of it though because it's ass but so is the music.

Of recent titles, Pokemon Sword and Shield. That soundtrack sucks. Only enjoyed a couple from the entire game, the rest were super bland, or just not good. Which is shitty, because I enjoy 90% of all the other Pokemon songs in the series.

I'm probably over exaggerating and there is more songs that I actually do think is good, but the battle music just isn't good, and it's a shame because that's the one you hear the most.

I loathe the Pokemon Gen 3 soundtrack. The first two Pokemon gens have some of the best video game music of all time imo, and I still can't get over how steep the decline was in Gen 3. It was like going from Kobe beef to generic-brand Spam.

While Gen 7 had issues and Gen 8 is very flawed, I appreciate that they really turned the series' soundtrack quality back around. The Alola soundtrack in particular was very easy on the ears.

There tends to be a correlation between games that I play and soundtracks that I like. It would be very rare for there to be a game that I play actively yet I don't enjoy the music (I guess one recent exception would be Pokemon XY, which has exactly 2 noteworthy songs and everything else is completely forgettable).

So for me to figure my least favorite soundtrack, I'd have to look for games that I don't play which have highly celebrated soundtracks that I personally don't care for (either negative or neutral). And that would most likely land me somewhere on the SNES. I've never been into that system as much as most people in my internet demographic.

Dragon Quest IX was the most disappointing one, that game deserved a better soundtrack than it got.

Least favorite of any serious games I've played...usually I find most soundtracks pretty good, maybe forgettable at worst. I don't know of many instances where a soundtrack was all around weak. I didn't like Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance's soundtrack much, some tracks were good but it sure did try to sound dissonant a lot, didn't work for me despite the game's title.

crazy bus is the obvious answer but as for a soundtrack that was actually deliberately composed and not randomly generated... maybe the NES version of xevious? the whole soundtrack is less than 20 seconds, it has 2 songs, one is terrible and one is among the worst pieces of music (not just VGM) i've ever heard.

The most frustrated I get is just Dragon Quest as a series.

It's not that any given composition is bad, it's the lack of variance between them. They sound lovely as movements in an orchestra, but with the crappy compression combined with how often they're interrupted in-game, they just suck to listen to. The start of each song is usually the weakest part, and you hear it CONSTANTLY. Plus the old man can only seem to make variations on about six songs that all hit the same notes - I think "Ole Sylvando" was the first piece of music in YEARS that I cared to remember by name, and it required being attached to Sylvando for me to care.

Zelda: Phantom Hourglass. It does have some good tracks, but the overworld (on land) theme and the dungeon theme were so pathetic and constantly reused that it made the whole soundtrack seem cheap. For a Zelda game it was just awful, and I can't think of any other game I've played recently that did that poorly in the soundtrack department.

I'm struggling to think of anything I actively disliked. (other than Crazy Bus and like probably some shovelware) I don't dislike Pokemon RSE, but I like it less than the rest of the series, which seems to be a hot take. I think I maybe even bought the Yoshi's Story soundtrack back in the day but the only part I can remember now is the shrill Yoshi singing.

I don't know how to answer this
There are plenty of games in which the soundtrack is barely noticable (i.e almost every Resident Evil game, Save Room excluded)
I don't recall a game that I had to turn off the music or turn it down or just couldn't stand it

There ARE however games that their music is disappointing compared to what I expect from the rest of the series
Best example would be Mega Man 11 (I don't like instrumental music either)

The only game I remember having actively negative thoughts about the soundtrack of was Halo 4, and that was mainly because the final boss music was really good, which made me realise that I hadn't noticed the music at all up to that point. Since the previous games all had great soundtracks, a completely unmemorable one was really disappointing.
