If they're theoretically unlimited, even by difficult means, I will give offensive ones to whoever has the highest of that stat, and defensive ones to whoever have the lowest of that stat.

If the number of the item is strictly limited and cannot be undone, I don't use them, lol

Took the weaknesses option but it does kinda vary. I skew a bit towards main or favorite characters sometimes, and I ignore weaknesses that would be silly to improve (like the Magic stat of my melee-only guy)

It somewhat depends on the game, but it usually stays in my pack throughout the entire game. That's what happened with CS3.

If I'm only controlling a single character I'll feed it to them though. That's what I did for Tales of Berseria, gave them all to Eizen.

It mostly depends on the game, the limit to them, whether they improve later, whether game mechanics don't favor them or they're ignored by class upgrades, how many characters there are, how easy it is to max out certain stats, and if I cycle through different characters or teams.

Usually whoever is my favorite though.

Usually both of these together (Meaning I'll blow them all before the final boss, or if there's an NG+ where I get to keep my items I'll save them for immediately before whatever super challenge lies there) with a skew towards favorite characters where there's multiple good choices

Double down on strengths across the party unless it's a weird case like Kingdom Hearts where you'd be an actual crazy person to give it to anyone other than Sora.

If they sell worth anything, I sell them. Otherwise I hoard them and use them all at once for the final boss.

The exceptions is Fire Emblem because stat boosters in that game is game changing. The other are speed tabs in Chrono Trigger. One point of speed is a lot in that game.

Hold onto them forever and mostly forget about them. But they're one of the few consumables that I don't sell when I get fed up with my inventory and decide to clean house. Maybe I pull them out when I hit a point where I decide I need a boost.

Depends on the game. If it's something like Kingdom Hearts with one main character and then NPC party members, the player character gets it without a second thought. In an ensemble thing like Octopath Traveler without too many characters, I generally like to make a character's strengths stronger. And in something with a bunch of characters like Fire Emblem, they sit in storage and never get used out of indecision.

Used to never use them ever

Now just immediately use offensive ones on chars with high stat, defensive ones on chars with low stat, prioritizing main character if there's a tie.

Depends on the game I suppose, and how the item is termed.

I remember in Star Ocean 3, there were two items that increased either Health Points or Technique Points, and the effect was designed so it only affected the current stats, and the gain was a percentage based increase. The maximum benefit came from using them only when a character reached the max level, so I actually waited till, I think it was Level 255 or something like that?

But anyways, the HP/TP total for the main character became 90000+/13000+ after using the few stat boast items available.

In most games I just give them to whoever I expect to use a lot, I find they rarely matter much anyway. In Fire Emblem it varies a lot more since for most games I know which units actually do get good benefits and which either don't need them or don't get much meaningful improvement.
