Either I am woefully misremembering everything and we argued a vast space of nothingness in 2016 or his skews are changed from what they were in 2016.

His skews are stating it skewed in favor of Trump by a full %, and I do not remember that being even in the stratosphere of accurate for then.

I honestly don't get the retweet argument either.

You don't have to be retweeting something because you agree with it.
This is the President putting it on a feed that he has declared to be official communication from his office. It's not the same as a random person sharing on facebook.

Though if I saw a share on Facebook with no additional comment I would also default to thinking they agree unless I have reason to think otherwise.

Sometimes people will add to their profile something like "retweets are not endorsements".

And then they'll retweet stuff that they obviously disagree with. Like women who get a lot of hate on twitter who retweet some of the nasty hate they are getting in their replies.

But uhh...none of that applies to Trump retweeting QAnon. If Trump retweeted a video where TYT got really heated, everyone would assume that he wasn't endorsing TYT and instead making fun of how angry they were. But QAnon supports him, so Trump retweeting QAnon just looks like endorsement.

Biden crushed Trump in the early numbers. Of course these means absolutely nothing when it comes to votes, but knowing how much Trump himself cares about numbers makes this pretty sweet.

Yeah, I'm surprised by that. I figured people tuning in for the trainwreck would give him the ratings edge.

And you just know that the whole "airing it at the exact same time as Biden" was 100% a demand from the Trump campaign for exactly the reason of trying to make it a ratings battle because the idea of "dueling townhalls" is journalistic malpractice (okay i guess that doesn't completely clear nbc they could be that terrible) so to lose that badly on ratings - which is 100% what Trump cares about most - is LOL.

but he'll just claim fake ratings or he'll lie and say digital numbers somehow have him winning big.

I agree Feinstein has to go, but I also understand why people won't just endorse her opponent. Feinstein has more political capital, even though she has worse ideas. That she's probably going to win anyway means you probably don't want to get on her bad side. It's why so few people were willing to endorse AOC in 2018 (With even Ro Khana, who endorsed against Feinstein, endorsing Crowley and later adding AOC after his base was VERY upset about that)

Hopefully AOC builds a lot of political capital, along with other progressives, so that in the future we replace the establishment with something better.

New alaska poll kinda makes it harder to argue alaska being a possible flip in the Senate or presidentially.

I would be shocked if he didn't have hundreds of millions at least in debt. When he opened Trump Taj Mahal, on opening day the casino already had so much debt that it would have needed to generate greater income than any casino in the world had ever done just to make the interest payments. Trump really believes in borrowing money as a way of doing business.

He has assets too. He has a ton of high quality real estate (probably much of it is used to secure the debt). But the thing about real estate is, thanks to 1031 exchanges, as long as you continue to invest in real estate, even if you sell a particular building, you never ever realize your gains as income on a tax return. So it's not particularly surprising that he never shows income on taxes, it just means he's really good at converting regular taxable income into nontaxable unrealized real estate capital gains.

It's really quite unfair. If you sell Apple stock for a gain and buy Microsoft, say, you have to pay capital gains tax on the Apple gains right away. But if you sell real estate and reinvest the money in another piece of real estate, you get to defer your tax. And if you sell the second property and buy a third property - again you can defer the tax. Ad inifinitum.

We know he has debt on top of debt on top of debt.

He hasn't released enough public information to say for certain but its very possible he has negative net worth. Possibly negative billions of net worth.
