Makes sense that he acts that way, he always tells people how is he just an average player, so when you watch him you get no bullshit. He believes that is his appeal, hey doesn't get review copies so his reviews aren't paid reviews and as such honest. This is why he believes his opinion matters more than other's.

Truth is, he has garbage opinions all around. And the Cuties thing is a good example of that. It doesn't matter if he is right, because it isn't even his opinion. He read an article about it and has cemented his position, he is literally parroting, but he is RIGHT. So yeah, a broken clock is right twice a day.

Once Phil has made up his mind about something, he is never going to change and he is RIGHT. A prime attribute of a narcissist. Especially since he views journalists as malicious. And sure there are shitty journalists, but there are also good ones, but Phil will never acknowledge it, because he hates people who have slighted him, no matter what they have done. All journalists are paid shlls, who exploit a system of early review copies and streamers and the like are no better because they are part of the same system.

Well fuck, the news of his passing makes me sad.

Also, about the OnlyIcedCoffee thing, I am not sold on it. OIC is a massive troll trying to get a rise out of Phil and his detractors. Really hard to say though, I mean it's becoming too much of a regular thing to be a coincidence. Last stream too, went to grab some water and then when he came back: boom, a donation of 74 dollars to hit the goal. Now I could be looking into this too much, that's always possible. But I don't believe in coincidence either.

We've had several mod leaks in the past, nothing really spectecular to be honest, and we know how paranoid Phil is, so he is likely to be very careful around something like this. But we also know that Phil has a very few very loyal fans that give him money no matter what.

But unless OnlyIcedCoffee can provide anything real, give actual evidence, I am going to chalk it up to to an attention seeker seeking attention, who parrots that which we want to hear.

Phil is actually complaining about people "griefing" in Fall Guys. I mean, it's a battle royale game, where there can be only one winner, so you can bet your ass that other players are going to try to inconvience you or try and get you eliminated. I mean, this man plays hundreds of games, including games with a competitive online element, how is this at all surprising to him?

He did put out a tweet about Chadwick Boseman and it was surprisingly tasteful and not self-serving.

I do believe he has arrangements in place with his whales to keep the streak alive. He gets what he wants (money), and the whales get what they want (seeing Phil in a vest for some reason/sticking it to the haters). It's less of a scam than most of his begging, and it's technically not hurting anyone since the whales seem to support the arrangement, but it's dull and repetitive. Phil is most entertaining when he's desperate.

His Doom Eternal and Doom 2 playthroughs are up there. It is amazing how bad he is at simple games (Doom 2).

Not sure if it was this year, but Crash Bandicoot Racing got Phil tilted a lot.

Nioh 2 is just your typical Soulsbourne play through, lots of bitching, blaming the devs and many attempts at cheesing and not using the new mechanics added to the game.

Those are worth watching on their own.

pocok's TIHYDP Dark Souls Redemption Run is chill af. good music, great Pigroach call-outs. he was glued to stream chat for nearly the whole game. you'd think the game was actually hard with all the hand-holding he needed.

The original TIHYDP Dark Souls just tickles me pink. He truly showed off his title as the "Fred Flintstone of Gaming" in that one. Hard-headed idiocy from start to finish.

YOU are out of 74 dollars, that could have been a couple of games, groceries, bills (irony), downpayments. Hell, you could set it aside for your future, maybe one day you'll have kids and setting aside money so they can go to college is even a thing.

Their dumb mentality is what makes Phil thrive. Detractors ar literally unaffected by this. They didn't lose any money, and get to see Phil dance like a monkey for money, while he stumbles through games. On top of that, Phil has a track record of insulting and ultimately throwing his fans under the bus.

The biggest winners are the detractors, and the biggest losers are his fans. Which is like a page from the book of bizzaro world or some shit.

His real fans are getting nothing out of the streak. He has not used the extra money to improve his streams, and his content is extra boring because he's complacent. Personally, I would love to see the streak end--and not start up again--because I want to see how desperately he'll start begging and blaming his fans. Edit: Also, I've seen a number of comments about his viewership decreasing, so while the streak is making money for him, it's not attracting new viewers and may even be losing existing viewers.

His viewer count continues to decline, the streak is maintained by a handful of whales, and a large chunk of his subs are gifted by those same whales. This should concern him. It's certainly not something that can be fixed right away, but he should be trying to figure out ways to grow his brand so that he's not relying on a very small group of supporters to provide 90% of his income.

Phil literally has no perspective. He honestly believe that struggles are struggles. If you listen to him talk, his voice remains monotomous the whole time, there is no emotion there. So he honestly believes that cancer can equal money struggles for example.

But what is far more disgusting, and something all narcissists do, is to emotionally exploit people. They always try to win by using false equivolancies. People dying of cancer that no one knew of is the same as Phil having struggles.

They take someyhing reasonable that others suggest, compare it something outlandish in order to win an arguement why they wouldn't do the reasonable thing.

The thing is, people like Phil want to be seen as someone who has overcome adversity, so they can elicit sympathy from others. The thing is however, because they cannot feel empathy/sympathy themselves, whenever they do tell stories about adversity, they come off as completely disingenuous. You cannot hear any emotion in their voices, and the examples they use are completely outlandish. The Wolverine toy is a great example of that.

See, Phil didn't care about the toy at an emotional level, when you hear him talk about that story (even though the story changes, certain things like his tone of voice don't), he wanted the toy so he could one up other kids. He cared about the monetary value of a rare item more than the emotional value because he was such a comic book fan for example.

Narcissists are not susceptible to guilt, he doesn't feel bad about pissing all over the people that keep him afloat, he doesn't feel bad throwing his best friends under the bus, because relationships are only as valuable about how much they can get out of it. They are susceptible to shame however, because they want others to see themselves a certain way. But if other people can tear that illusion down, by calling out contradictions or lies, you attack their core.
