Lightning, Water, and Fire. I think I'll go for Dark next.

I don't see much of a point to rush these. I have 3 weeks to get them done.

Finally sruck gold on the 5 mith banners and got Kain Sync for FF4. Shame the only lightning chain I have is Kain's gen 1, but I can have fun in MP with it though.

I wish I had that USB, regenga and hcq2 would both be great for the dreambreaker. True you need other DPS soul breaks to get a clear though.

I just don't like that it doesn't actually heal the party when you cast it, so I'm not sure how I can make it work without forcing an entrustbot into the team. I have her Brave which does instaheal and gives a 50% crit chance, which helps out my current team.

CoD Awakening on the III draw. That's great.

Since the Glint Lucky has the 8% chance for 6*s I also pulled there, and got Setzer Glint+ and Vanille's Glint+, which apparently isn't Proshellga+Haste, unlike basically all others.

It's new so yay I guess. This was pretty risky since I already have Maria, Emperor and Firion's awakenings.

Beat another Omega, water weak. I went magical with Lion for Imperils, it was a slog but he couldn't kill me either with Strago + Penelo + Elara.

So is the Arcane Overstrike Lucky particularly worth doing I feel like it probably isn't? Are they even used much with Awakenings and Syncs in play?

The other thing is I feel like I've been somewhat lucky with Arcane Overstrikes, having a decent little collection of them already for a lot of the characters I use.

I'm sure there are some worth getting but eh think I'm gonna pass.

I would say definitely not worth doing. I'm not even so sure the awakening one is worth doing at this point but awakenings are way better than arcanes.

yeah I feel I have enough AOSBs to the point where I can skip Lucky 2. If it was two guaranteed relics I'd think twice but alas

Yeah the 3 hit AOSBs aren't really that useful anymore against 6* magicite since you'll be spending so much meter to refresh infusion that you'll rarely use them, dreambreakers have too much HP that they barely make a difference. And too many bad/mediocre characters have AOSBs now.

They're still useful for torment and 5* magicite, but a gamble is ehhhh.

I'm skipping the AOSB draw, but I think everyone should pull on the AASB. Even if you already have a bunch of them, every dupe gets you closer to two casts.

Soon-ish, we get an update where you can hone AASBs and AOSBs. Like Syncs, each dupe gets you 2 ranks, or you can use scrolls from lenses for 1 rank each.

If you get an AASB to rank 15, you can cast it twice.
If get an AOSB to rank 10, the cost is lowered to 2 gauges.

After playing from launch until about Year 4, it warms my loins to see the game still going.

The leveling up and party add-ons got way too involved for me to keep up. However, it was the lackluster Tyro/Mog story and overwhelming Magicite & Torment Dungeons that were the killing blow.

Do you think it's worth it? I think I'm saving my sapphires for now, I'm pretty sure I want to grab Orlandu's, and then whatever I need for specific fights with a focus on Dreambreakers.

So far yes, the fact that Tyro can generate meter faster with Allegro con Moto, Aerith USB2 or Marche like USBs has been awesome so far, and he does surprisingly decent damage. He even out damaged Meliadoul against Earth Weak Omega. Since Tyro's going to be in most teams anyway might as well make a HA that will get tons of milage.

I beat more Omegas, Dark, Lightning and Earth weak. I got all the anima lens now!

Oh, I never thought about typed fastcast. I will still wait until I find a fight where I need it, but that and building chain are a good reason to use it. I'm at 6/8 omegas so I think I have all the EX lenses. I have 938 with two HAs already made (Squall and Beatrix). Waiting on the last 2 because dark is annoying with the status effects, and I need to improve my holy team.

When you get a character's HA, are they the only one who can use it? Or is it like an ability, in that anyone can use it, as long as they can use that ability school?

Only that character can use it. But they're more powerful than regular 6* abilities (some more than others) and they also take fewer crystals to hone.

They're also really risky to make because of how many anima lens+ it takes to make them.

I don't regret any of the ones I've made so far (Squall, Beatrix, Tyro and Bartz) Wonder who I should use the last 250 for, Ramza maybe?

If you're not sure then I'd save until you need it. Otherwise you might regret using your last 250 if you want something else. Also Ramza's doesn't seem all that great to me since it's only 4 hits with a 1.0 multiplier, although I could be wrong about it

Sephiroth's seems really strong but since I just finished Alexander it's not useful for a while. When VII Dreambreaker rolls around I'm grabbing Cloud's first because his existing abilities are so bad.

4 hits + quickcast, I guess it depends if I get Marche Awakening or not I plan to skip fest banners to go all out on the next FFT event.

Also it comes out next fest, not next FFT event, bleh. Maybe not with those 250. I'll probably spend them on something else in the meantime.

Oh, yeah, I was confused. There are going to be plenty of good options before then. Orlandu's is one, especially if you get any of his new gear with en-element. Or Lightning (or Serah/Fang) for the XIII Dreambreaker which should be about 4 weeks after Tactics.

Holy and Dark Omega are down. Dark-weak was actually a major pain in the ass with his dumb status effects. I ended up buying Tyro's Glint from the lens-shop to deal with them

I probably won't touch the FF13 dreambreaker for a while, that's supposedly one of the hardest and I really doubt my FFXIII team is up to snuff since I struggled with the torment even in my sub30 run. Lightning HA does seem good though.

Dark Weak Omega sucked but I took the risk of not starting with Godwall and just relied on Elara awakening so Tyro can use ace striker and keep recasting USB1 to prevent status effects.

I got a dupe Kuja USB1 from the ticket today. Well at least it's dark boosting armor.

15 free mythril! And one of the best fest banners drops tonight. I think I'm going to do one pull (all I can really afford unless I decide to skip the aasb selection draw). This seems like one of the best banners top to bottom - Squall and Lightning AASB2 both combine with their AASB1s (which I have) and HAs for triplecasts with double cap break. And even Lenna's USB would be a big improvement over her previous USBs for that dreambreaker.
