How do you get through that last 25% on Odin? I have two party set ups that get there and then I just get obliterated by the Savage Elemental Drive

Been a while since I did it, but you need to make sure you have plenty of offense left to end things quickly. Two healer setups can help too if you're having trouble staying alive.

Man the Diabolos fight is dumb. The third phase sucks so hard. It's either constant 5 digit damage or constant Tyro glint spam. Your meter is drained either way.

I give up on Diabolos for now, first two phases aren't bad, but the third phase is just unfair unless you have Rem's sync and can kill him before he does anything. I tried Elara, Aerith, Penelo and Alma- none of them can keep up with those constant 5 digit attacks + sap.

Maybe if I get Marche Awakening or Orlandeau's sync tomorrow I'll try again, but I'm calling it a night.

What team are you using? I haven't tried it yet, I grabbed Ramza's AASB and his chain from the chain select and used them to beat my last Omega first. Diabolos's gimmick sounds pretty annoying.

Okay yeah I tried it, 3rd phase is ridiculous. I didn't even know what happened, my party was just dead, I realized it was Gehenna Ruinous Omen from looking at the script. Maybe you need to put him to sleep for that turn and then wake him up after so you can keep doing damage.

I'm using the same team as your original team (with Agrias), I don't have Lightning's holy awakening. And I also don't really have enough reach, all my awakenings basically expire at the beginning of phase 3. Although I did make some mistakes and Ramza wasn't dealing enough damage with Assault Saber and no artifact weapon. So I guess I can try again after record boards tomorrow (and maybe I'll draw Orlandu's sync)

For you, Lightning's HA would probably be a good investment once it comes out since it's the only 6 hits physical holy ability.

I don't have Lighting's Awakening either, but her USB3 alone is good enough for the first two phases.

I guess I tried to make lemonade out of lemons but Gaff still seems pretty underwhelming with his sync and glint+. Maybe it because the Torment boss is so powercreeped he's almost dead by the time I have meter for his sync, but this just makes me wish I had gotten Marche's Awakening even more since having Ramza with Mako Might entrusting Marche, and have Marche use his glint+ then USB has done more progress to killing Chuchu faster than swapping Orlandeau with Gaff. No dualcast really sucks too.

Maybe Gaff will be useful for Alexander? His sync command 2 is an overstrike so you can lower the holy level early on to prevent the instant kill on phase 3. Kinda late for that though.

It looks like Zalera's going to be a pain, although maybe once I see an AI script it will be better. (So far all I see is the thread with the move set but no turn order). Status effects are going to be a pain, I have Alma's AASB but not her good USB, Ovelia I have a lot of stuff (and she can deal with sap a little better) but no AASB/G+.

Beat Diabolos with my new Orlandu sync, 33.60. Basically just had last stand in place when he used his Gehenna Ruinous Omen and I was able to survive everything else. I think I only used Tyro's glint twice, right at the beginning of phase 3 and after phase 3 turn 6. (I used ultra cure to fix slots 4 & 5 in phase 1). Just need to get three more kills now...

Dream selects are coming tonight. They took so long to bring it to us that i don't really think it's worth spending money for Elarra's 6* glint anymore... since the top end content is Dreambreakers I won't be using Elarra. Unless it's really important for white Odin or something. So I'm not sure if I'm going to do any of these draws.

Finally been getting through some stuff. Did all 3 difficulties of torment Dahaka (Raines and Lightning AASBs were deadly), all of dreams Ugallu, got some ruby abilities (iron fist ice, lunar ifrit, inferno assault, aquatic weakness), and finished up almost all my 5* magicite farming. Only one I still need is Phoenix, gotta farm a bunch of copies still to inherit hp boons to all my dampens. Got my Famfrit and Phoenix blockers done, need an hp boon to finish my Mateus blocker.

I think its time to foray into the dark Odin realm. I think I can take on lightning weak (Prompto chain, Noctis AASB, Lightning AASB). Would use Kain instead of Noctis, but the IC3 from Noctis at the beginning, along with the 20+1 hit AOSB I have later is quite powerful. Prompto is godlike for imperiling also.

Getting a proshellga glint+ is a pretty big game changer as it clears up slots or soul break meter (assuming the boss you're fighting doesn't use dispel) Also almost every white mage now has an Elara USB1 variant so you can get the proshellga glint+ for the healer you use the most(or at least what's on the dream select)

Geez, Zalera is tough. I feel like I could get pretty far if I just had a basic healing+last stand USB for Alma, but it doesn't exist. Dreambreaker Flareja (second attack in phase 3) kills most of my team from full HP. Even though they have reraise from Alma's USB1, it breaks their awakenings/buffs and basically ends the run. The farthest I've gotten is bringing him down to 32%.

Her USB3 might be good enough but there's no way to get it other than drawing on event banner 2 which I already have all 3 awakenings and the chain. It's not even in the USB dream select, as much as I would hate to pay $30 for a single USB at this point in time.

Ovelia has last stand, but without her new gear she can't do any of the other stuff Alma brings - no proshellhastega, no astra, no regen, all of which is on Alma's USB1. I'd need to get her G+ and her USB3 to make her better.

How good are the limit break SBs, at least as a finisher? I just got Agrias' LB on the banner and it looks like a much stronger AOSB going by the text. It will be useful for my FFT D? Torment anyway as I usually run out of gas at the ~85% mark and ~500k possible damage sounds amazing there.

I haven't gotten any yet, but from what I read you need to hone them to get good damage out of them. It seems questionable whether it's worth the investment for a glorified AOSB, but if it gets you through a fight maybe it's worth it.

Until now I've gotten squat from the magicite support ticket draws... today I threw mine at the holy banner and got Beatrix's sync!! I'm going to have to give Deathguise another try and see if I can sub-30 now.

I also R5d the new ability yesterday, and invested a fair amount into record boards for my FFT team. But Alma doesn't have a record board yet so she still dies early in phase 3 and once that happens she can't keep up with healing (she loses her awakened mode). Not sure if I'm going to be able to do this one yet.

I concluded that I just couldn't do Zelara with Alma until she gets a record board, or at least her USB3. So I did the glint select draw, got dupe Faris USB3 and dupe Yda AASB. Took Elarra's Glint+ with my first pick and tried her as an off-realm on my Dreambreaker team.

Elarra's healing is sooo much better and the HQC makes the run feel so much more powerful. But the lack of Astra slows things down some, especially when the double sleep hits in phase 2 - she was ready to ultra cure Orlandu almost instantly, but Marche still missed a full round due to sleep.

But the team completely runs out of steam in phase 3. I have to refresh the chain around then which definitely hurts. Higher damage reduction makes it harder to break rage, and not breaking rage means more damage reduction. Then the awakenings run out and we're basically doing no damage (except Orlandu - he can deal 2x (5x9999) with his good old EX mode, and 99999 with his OSB). I got him down to 25.4%, so I don't think I'm really within reach at this point. Ramza's damage is pathetic even in awakened mode with a high chain and a realm artifact katana. I guess if I want to keep trying I need to invest in a high level HC.

Also, I have 1 glint selection left so I need to decide what I want. Lenna would be an obvious choice but it seems kinda redundant with her AASB2 which I have.

I was able to get enough mithril to have one more go at the first banner and got Marche Awakening. That and Agrias LB turned D450 Torment from ~15% HP remaining into a 29.92s clear.

What awakening should I pick on the awakening select? I think I've narrowed it down to Mog, Aerith, or Rinoa.

Mog - People seem to say it's great for magic teams. I already have Terra and Strago awakenings so my VI dreambreaker will probably be heavy on magic. And I have Mog's realm chain. The main downside is that the VI dreambreaker is very far away.

Aerith - I have her G+ and USB2 so she's pretty much dreambreaker ready. VII is the 6th dreambreaker so not all that far off.

Rinoa - Mostly would be a favoritism pick. My VIII team is pretty good and I have her ice sync already, so this would help me with having enough damage to finish the fight. And it would help me do magic Valefor too when I'm ready for it. VIII torment is 8th so it's about 2 months away, much sooner than VI.

Lenna is also a possibility but I'm not going to be ready to do that one for a long time since my only offensive awakening is Bartz.

Mog will probably be useful for stuff like the stronger Omega when he returns or WOdin so it's more probably bang for your buck.

Why couldn't I have gotten Marche Awakening... fucking RNG. I feel like this game just isn't fun anymore with Diabolos and these Dreambreakers. I feel like I'm at a point where the content left to do is too frustrating and relic dependant and I've hit a wall.

Hopefully FF12 Gilgamesh will put some faith back into this game again.

Do you have Tyro's glint? TBH I didn't think Diabolos was that hard once I understood the gimmick. Maybe it's because TGC's sync is just that good, I'm not sure. Basically I needed to make sure last stand was up before Gloomshade Ruinous Omen, and needed to be ready to remove fever dream three times: phase 1 turn 8, phase 3 turn 2 (happens immediately when phase 3 starts) and phase 3 turn 6. I used ultra cure for the first one since it's only 2 slots, and Tyro's glint for the other 2.

I definitely feel like I've hit a wall with the Tactics DB, but there are going to be a bunch of Dreambreakers coming pretty quickly. Some I'll have no chance on for a long time but some I'll at least be able to make an attempt (VII and VIII hopefully). It is a bit annoying there's no new tactics banner for the next 6 months, aside from Orran's relics in the fest, since I feel like I'm just 1-2 relics away from being able to do that one.

I have Tyro''s glint. I got really close to beating him today, but the biggest hurdle is actually Beatrix's Sync of all things, because when she's at critical damage under sync she does an AOE that also destroys the rift when I'm trying to stay in the real world and sends me to the dream world. And the turns I waste trying to break the rift again I could have used to kill him if she didn't do that AOE cost me the time I have before he starts spamming those Gehenna whatevers and reduces my damage to 3 digits.

I FINALLY crafted an auto 5* magicite team. Did it for Phoenix, which is perfect because I still need a bunch to inherit health boons.

Super pumped that I can finally have these mindlessly done for missions and such!

Diabolos is the worst designed boss in the game as far as I'm aware. That third phase is fucking unbeatable if you can't kill him in three turns, and that's on top of all the micromanagement BS you already have to deal with. Even with all the planning and script reading it all just comes down to beat him in the first 3 turns in phase 3 or he bulks himself up that you can't damage him to kill or even break savage anymore and every attack is fatal and has sap.

Hooo boy what a nightmare! (no pun intended) Funnily enough I didn't even use Beatrix's sync, just her awakening with dualcasted Seiken Shocks was the better option for phase 3 since it keeps Diabolos' savage level down so Marche and Ramza can actually do damage. I was lucky though since if Ramza didn't triple cast in the third phase while Diabolos' savage modes were down and before he buffed his defenses I wouldn't have beaten him.
