I also got Squall's ability too, my first one. I hope it's good. I think I should be pretty ready, but I'm not sure how hard to expect this one to be.

I'm still 30 lenses short of my first HA.

Valefor should be interesting. My Squall and Kiros (or Noel) are more than ready. I'm just not sure if I'll run Serah's Chain or Fran's free chain.

A mage clear could also be possible, since my Rinoa is stacked and Edea at least has her AASB and USB1.

If I were you I'd try magic, since you can use summons to do AOE damage on the tornadoes. And obviously Serah's chain is better for magic.

If I use Rinoa AASB + Dark Shiva spam, I'm sure the tornados will die quickly. The problem will be that I might run out of gas afterwards.

I checked and Edea's USB2 is actually in the lens shop. Might be worth picking up too, if I go with a mage team, since her AASB ideally wants 1 Witch ability and 1 black magic, but her USB1 is worthless for black magic.

Surprisingly not that tough, well sorta since I wasn't using wall at first, but I switched to that and her damage became a lot more manageable.

Main problem is how many tornados you have to deal with in Phase 2, that ate up most of Squall's awakening time.

I forget, did you get Squall's sync? I tried once, wasn't prepared for how much damage those tornadoes eat up. I have no syncs for this, just awakenings. I'll give it another try in a bit.

No I do not have Squall's sync, wish I did but I guess I don't need it now.

And yeah those tornados are pretty bulky, it pretty much makes the fight a 4 million HP boss even with Squall's Hero Ability. Squall can still hit pretty hard without a damage cap break with just his USB2 and chases on the third phase. For me Laguna becomes the dps there since Squall uses his awakening to cut through the first phase and tear up the tornados and Kiros activates his to help him clean up.

Geez, the big tornadoes hit hard and back to back. I was only able to kill 3 in time and got hit with the second stongest attack (just below the auto eject one) after the tornadoes had already destroyed most of my last stands.

Day 1 clear!
I decided to pick Edea's USB2 from the lens shop, that thing is godly. Together with Elarra spamming AcM and her USB1, spells are almost instant cast.

I ignore savage mode in phase 1.
Rinoa used her AASB shortly before phase 2, so awakened Shiva spam takes care of the tornadoes, with some help from Fabula Mage RW, Shiva magicite, and Edea's USB1 which I use before flight mode.

The fight isn't too bad afterwards. Damage was mostly manageable, except a 4-hit Tornado on Elarra in phase 2 that procced her Last Stand from AASB.

Man this a fight where things can go really smooth or real bad, it depends on how many times Squall dualcasts during the tornado minion part of phase 2, also on errors of my part where I go too autopilot with Kiros and use Ironfist Ice instead of Icebound at the start of phase 2 and 3, then Valefor would wipe my party out before the ATB bars fill.

This week's 6* magicite mission is Lakshmi, which is convenient since I already use her for daily magicite to get magia for my physical dark team in preparation for Alexander.

I had to get some more Phoenix magicite so I can inherit HP Boons on Valefor, with the Paine stuff I got from fest and Rikku's sync I got from the dream select grab bag I can sub13 Phoenix now!

Dream selects end tomorrow. Made my picks today- got Agrias' awakening, Pecil stacking glint, huh apparently Agrias doesn't have a stacking glint (yet Ovelia does :-\ ) went with Lenna glint+ for my second choice. Got Seph and Eiko dualcast lmrs.

I'm still debating my pick. Seifer is the "right" pick because it gives me a chain holder with an awakening to go along with Seph, and then I draw on next week's IV banner and hopefully have DK Cecil for my third character for Alexander. Only problem is I just don't like Seifer. But then I would have to pretty much go all in on the Shadow banner and skip that great IV banner.

Rinoa's the one I want to take since I like her, she's kinda close to being complete, and doublecasting Shiva will be great when I do magic Valefor (maybe even physical Valefor... my main problem right now is Laguna dying because he has low HP with no record board)

Yeeesh this guy is still a bastard, extremely bulky, extremely fast and he spits out 7000+ quake spells at Syldra speed. Without Cloud Awakening/sync this guy is still harder than half of the 6* magicite.

Just dark weak and lol bio Odin left, I never attempted the dark weak Odin since I didn't have any dark awakenings till Jecht a couple months ago, and now I have Emperor, Kiros, Siefer and Sephiroth so I should be ready for him. But apparently he's also the hardest one so maybe I should just wait until Alexander for that better holy dampen since Alexander is apparently the easiest 6* magicite.

Oh hey, finally sub-30ed my final torment, FF I. No sync, no awakening, just two USBs. I did use two realm artifacts and unlocked record board strength bonuses for WOL and Master Monk.

Master - Ironfist Earth, SSB
Sarah - Curada, bUSB
Wol - 5* heavy dark, BSB
Garland - Demon's Cross, BSB2

That was pretty fun. Master was surprisingly decent with just his SSB - Sarah's brave gives party IC1, Master uses his SSB which gives him IC2, so he got lots of turns.

I finally sub 30ed Ark last night. He's super annoying, but thankfully I only have to kill him a few times (mainly to get a mind boon on a Madeen, maaaaaybe one on a Lakshmi but meh). Still have to murder Phoenix a bunch to get HP boons, before venturing into Odins/6* magicites.

If you have the tools, Shiva is the easiest 6*. Titan is second.

It's been too long since I did Odin for me to remember the relative difficulty, but in general they're easier, but there's more time pressure in phase 3 to finish him off, so you want to make sure you can unleash plenty of firepower at the end.

6* are really more gimmicky than difficult, it depends how you well prepared your tools are.

Titan is really easy to stall on the first phase so you can build meter and stack glints if you have any, but he gets insanely bulky on the second and especially third phase. There's also a time limit on the third phase. He's the easiest to poverty through with Cloud/Zack/Barrett stuff off the lens shop.

Ramuh is offensively the most dangerous next to Ifrit yet is also the most basic of the 6* magicite, his only gimmick is his electric field where you get zapped if you take an action, this is really annoying since he can use overstrike damaging attacks if you character is about to take action before you can heal them off a last stand it really sucks. Oh also the anti heal in the third phase sucks too. But for the most part it's a slugfest.

Leviathan is probably the tamest 6* magicite offensively, but the doom gimmick really makes the fight suck. Either you have the DPS to kill him before the doom runs out (not easy since he has 3.5 million HP unless you have Lightning Sync or other busted relics) or you have to figure a way to reset the doom timer through reraise, or soul breaks like Elara Awakening.

Ifrit is arguably the most stressful fight in the game. He has 4 pillars you need to weed out or he'll use a painflare attack when he enters a next phase which can range from major damage, pain and heal dampenings to instant KO depending on how many pillars are left. But dealing with the pillars is the hard part because if you attack them you take fixed damage and some pain levels and killing them does more damage and pain. On the bright side Ifrit is the squishiest 6* magicite so you don't need top tier DPS to beat him, good healer usbs and awakenings are more important.

Shiva is the easiest 6* magicite IMO. She's so tame offensively you rarely have to worry about dying, she is bulky, but if you have the buffs (glints/Elara USB2 and Tyro USB4/Awakening combo) you can crack through her defenses and rip her to shreds. The main thing to worry about is the second phase when the ice walls start healing her, so if you can DPS her out of the second phase ASAP you've pretty much won.

Valefor is a basically a buffed up Syldra, but if you're used to fighting Syldra she's not too bad. She is the meatiest of the 6* magicite because she flies off screen and you have to kill tornadoes to get her back on the battlefield, so running out of steam is the main issue here.

Alexander and Diabolos aren't out yet, but Alexander is said to be even easier than Shiva/Titan while Diabolos is said to be one of the hardest.

Anything that reduces the chance of getting status afflictions can at least go in the vault, if not get sharded. High end bosses that use status effects always hit automatically.

I got to phase 3 of Odin Fire on my first try but couldn't seal the deal cause no one in my party had Water Imperil. Then when I tried replacing my OK with Rikku for Water Imperil I got no where close so I'm confused how that happened. I'll have to play around some more

Yeah the phase 3 part is a major hurdle, especially when you have little to no black armored echos.

Kraken has an imperil on entry if you're willing to risk the stat lost by making him the main Magicite.

Yeah, this definitely feels like a lull. I still have Valefor but aside from that I'm caught up on every other bit of content. Hopefully next month will get more interesting with the fest.

I only have Dark weak Odin left to do but I'll probably just wait until Alexander is out before I fight him for the dampen on my main magicite. I wish Hero Abilities weren't so expensive to get, I'd like to get some more of them so I can at least test them out while 5* magicite farming to keep things semi interesting but I guess that just shows why we need that Dark-Odin level Omega fight now to get a bunch of them.

Oh Ark is also this week's weekly magicite, that was the only 5* I haven't sub30'd yet because of the annoying -99% mind/magic debuff, but I also haven't fought him in like half a year. I fought him with Rem and Alphinaud Awakenings and got a sub25! 6*mote'd Alph still hits hard with Lunar Dragon even after those damn eternal darkness's!

Prismatic Omega will be nice to give us something to do, and I definitely want the lenses+. Although I don't really need any HAs right now, but that will probably change. And they're just cool. I guess the next one I get will probably be physical holy because Aegis Strike isn't that good... not sure if it will be Beatrix, Celes, or maybe Orlandu's.

I'm planning to get Pecil's, Tyro and Onion Knight's when I finally get the anima lens+ for them, though I guess even if I had them Tyro and Pecils are still a couple of weeks away.

I wish I had them now though, kinda stinks there's only one good holy physical 6*, Assault Saber is alright but it feels dated with the lower SB gauge building and defense drop. Tyro's is gonna rock with Marche clones and it will be great not to have to dig to the 4* abilities to get wrath for him

I think some Rikku relics got swapped that one time? Also the time Japan did the lower relic count but it also had older relics for that same character in the off banner pull that global just changed to adding two new relics on the banner.

Doing pretty good farming greens on this event's Siren, best time so far is exactly twelve seconds.
