Yes, although to be fair I think it works in some other adventures too, not just Naxx. (Not all of them, though. You can't play against the Lich King for example).

Anyway, took the default demon hunter deck into Naxx Heroic. Got my teeth kicked in. Took it into Naxx normal, beat most of the fights first try, except for Grobbulus. (The hero whose hero power deals 1 damage to everything, and then makes a 2/2 slime every time it kills something). Yeah, the starting DH deck is just full of 1 health and 2 health minions so that hero power kinda wrecks. I could change my deck, but I just changed my strategy instead; literally just hold all the 1 health stuff in my hand, wait to draw a 7/4 or try to set up a big combo turn.

Found anohther old adventure normal mode boss that the base demon hunter deck struggles with. Garr from Blackrock Mountain. The one who deals 1 damage to all minions every turn.

I'm noticing a pattern here, where Demon Hunter seems to get rolled by whirlwind effects....

Hmm...thoughts on DH cards from adventure play.

Twin Slice: solid, almost never sad to draw it, lots of synergy.
Battlefiend: high variane. particularly in adventures this sometimes carried when it grew to like 5/2 while hitting face, but also sometimes traded with a 1 drop
Ur'zul Horror: Okay filler card. Sort of DH firefly. Not blown away by it though.
Chaos Strike: Okay filler card. It's a slam that always draws a card and can go face (but you take face damage when clearing).
Feast of Souls: worst card in the deck; sure, sometimes rolls big, but can't even cast it for 0 to set up outcast. often I was happy just to draw 1 to get it out of my hand.
Sightless Watcher: Okay filler card. I expected it to be bad, and it actually wasn't. Two reasons. One it seems to shuffle away the cards you don't pick, so that's a lot better than I thought--I figured you'd still draw the bad cards immediately after your good card and just know how fucked you were cause you knew trash cards were coming up, but that didn't actually seem to be the case--maybe I wasn't paying close enough attention. Second thing this does, putting an outcast card like Eye Beam on top of your deck is...fairly strong.
Umberwing: Solid. It's a slightly weaker muster for Battle, but also a 1/2 weapon on 2 is more impactful than a 1/3 weapon on 3.
Altrius the Outcast: Felt like the strongest card in the deck by far. Part of this is just that it's single-player content and the AI doesn't handle Altrius well. But man, my blowout wins usually involved Altrius.
Coordinated Strike: Underwhelming, but serviceable. Removal is removal.
Eye Beam: 3 damage backstab with lifesteal. Yes it's good.
Satyr Overseer: Got work done in singleplayer modes, but I'm not really sold on it in constructed. 2 health was important in this deck, because that was about as high as health goes in this deck, and whirlwinds are common in old adventures. But I think 2 health is gonna be low in construted. In particular, SI:7 agent, and Scalerider match up really well against this. Also typically it's not free to trigger the 2/2 on 3 mana; need a twin slice or a weapon already up.
Wrathscale Naga: Juggles hit face when you want to hit mininos, and hit minions when you want to hit face. Also 1 health sucks. That said, I would dismiss this, but 3 per death is a lot of damage. Sometimes.
Illidari Fellblade: Did work. 5/3 rush immune is pretty great.
Command the Illidari: Felt a lot better than the 3 mana version. 5 mana for 6 1/1s with rush. Didn't feel bad using this on an empty board.
Glaivebound Adept: Definitely a workhouse in the deck, particularly in singleplayer content with a premade deck where protect the 7/4 for a few turns while it hits face was often the strategy. Not as busted as it looks in constructed; effectively costs 6, which makes it basically Fire Elemental that deals 4. Fire Elemental that deals 4 is still real solid and goes in the deck, though.
Nethrandamus: The nature of single player modes and the way this deck was built (with only one card costing more than 5), yeah, sometimes the big bad 9 drop was needed to win against more controlling boss enemies (whereas against a lot of other enemies they were just dead by turn 9). As far as 9 mana cards go, it's probably fine. Want to say the average CMC it got me was summoning two six drops. That's like...Power of Creation at 1 more mana with no discover, but with an extra 8/8 attached. That's...fine.

I'm trying to get Nemsy through these personal fireside gatherings that they've allowed people to make, but the website won't recognize the address and location of the house of this tiny town I'm currently in on this tiny piece of land in the middle of the ocean. First it defaulted to another larger town on the island, but then when I went to join with another device to get the hero, it obviously didn't find the gathering because I'm multiple miles away from that town.

I tried again and got it at least to recognize the town, but it's more of a central location and I'm closer to the edge of the town. I have to wait another hour to see if it works because you apparently can't set a fireside for the current time.

Third world problems. Except it's not actually the third world

Just won a Battlegrounds game where I got the dream. I rushed a tier 6 minion as Galakrond and got mama bear. A few turns later I tripled an Alley Cat and the 1/1 beast so I had two 17/17 minions.

I would not recommend this strategy because I only had 12 health left once I started getting good minions, if I whiffed on the tier 6 it would have been a complete failure.

HSReplay.

It actually breaks down the common places to finish with that hero:

8th place 27%
7th place 19%
1st place 15%
6th place 12%
5th place 9%
etc

Fungalmancer actually finishes first more than the vast majority of heroes (there's only four heroes that finish 1st more than Fungalmancer). Fungalmancer just...also finishes last more than any other hero.

Teron Gorefiend(ehhhhhhh)
Archspore Msshffsshfsssisfh'n(I knew all the classes had prime legendaries but still forgot about the Druid one)
Kelidan the Breaker(Oh ya control warlock. def excited for this card)

Also my epics were not very spread out. I either got the playset of 2 or none when it came to epics. Thank goodness pack protection will make filling them out so much easier.

I mean, they occasionally post stuff from higher MMR ranges. For example, from 11 days ago, only from games with 6,700+ MMR (top 20%):

https://old.reddit.com/r/hearthstone/comments/fnm9k9/hsreplaynet_battlegrounds_hero_rankings_patch_166/

Fungalmancer on the bottom.

That was 11 days ago granted, might be out of date as more people get to know how to play the hero.

Buuuuut they publically provide data for "all ranks" and "top 50% of players" (top 50% being 5600+)--the trend seems to suggest that Fungalmancer actually is more successful at low MMR compared to 5600+ MMR. (This doesn't actually surprise me too much; at higher MMR people tend to get strong quite early, which makes teching up to tier 5 more dangerous).

The thing with flurgl is his he kinda makes you force Murlocs, which is why he isnt good at all

its like how Murlocs have the lowest placement rating despite being the best late game, if you whiff on Brann and/or Megasaur you just lose.

I think the bigger problem is that people don't know how to transition out of their build and INTO murlocs so they try to force them all game instead. But yes Brann is essential and good luck surviving until you get him with no advantage in the early game.

I've got him twice and won both games. Granted it was at 47XX and 48XX, but I didn't get Brann and only got a single Megasaur. First game I didn't switch to murlocs until the late game when I got said Megasaur and hit divine shield, and then it was just Holy Mackerals and a divine shield merry-go-round. Still ended up being a close finish because I didn't have a ton of stats.

Second game I wouldn't say I forced murlocs as much as murlocs were forced on me. Triples were just being showered down onto me and in the late game I was able to build poison the hard way on five murlocs. This game probably skews my feelings towards the hero because I don't think things could have went better for me.

Edit: My worst performing heroes are Shudderwock and Daryl. Shudderwock just never seems to work out for me and almost always ends with me losing points. I haven't played Daryl since animations were sped up so I imagine things would be better now, but they used to take long enough on my computer that even if I tried to go off at the start of the round there was a good chance I wasn't going to finish. I also didn't care for Elise from earlier today that much, but that's the only time I've had her.

Also Shaman's class identity.

It's a bit different, though, all the hype they've built up around this expansion is based around demon hunter. All their trailers are demon hunter. All their promo art is demon hunter. The returning player quests are now demon hunter quests. The prologue to the new adventure is Illidan's backstory.

It's sort of like...Rise of Shadows was based in Dalaran, literally the mage city, they had better have some frickin awesome mage cards in that set. (And they did. Magic Trick, Ray of Frost, Khadgar, Mana Cyclone, Conjurer's Calling, Power of Creation, Kalecgos).

Except this set is even more extreme, cause Rise of Shadows wasn't just about mages.

The only bad part about starting to finally move up is my ridiculously high finishes up until this point will eventually start coming back down to earth. I like looking at my last 15 warbands at the moment and seeing 11 of them being 1st and 2nd, and only one of them being outside of top 4. Please, I don't want real competition...

Also, I managed to hit 5,000 with the exact same build in all three regions: Lightfang Enforcer.

On my turn 8, I traded the Armorsmith instead of Bloodsworn Mercenary. I figured I had enough armor to win the game at that point and wanted the bigger minion on board. Was this the correct play?
I think so yes.

In particuar, treant druid is helpless without a board, you can be at 7 health and fairly safe from them if they don't have a board cause they don't run any charge minions and usually don't even run swipe. Warrior wants a bit more than 7 so that you can use your face to clear minions, but 25 is plenty. The thing you are worried about them doing is drawing something that makes a bunch of 2/2s, or alternatively drawing Goru which is a 5/10 taunt, and in both cases you'd rather have a 3/2 than a 1/2.

That said, I think you did make a mistake on turn 4. Scion of Ruin should have been used to kill the 2/1 treants and not the 2/1 acornbearer--for several reasons--limits their options, they can't play the 1/1 squirrels from the second acornbearer next turn (they only ended up playing two squirrels next turn and a blessing of the ancients, but that could have been 3 squirrels and a power of the wild, for example). Also, leaving treants in play is just really risky due to cards like Aeroponics (If they drew their second Aeroponics, it would cause them to spend more mana on it due to having one less treant in play).

The other turn that feels off--I'm less sure about this one, but coin ritual chopper to kill acornbearer feels...suspect, because it led you to hero powering turn 2. Maybe it was correct to coin armoursmith on turn 1, and then play Ritual chopper on turn 2? The, armoursmith challenges the acornbearer, and you can use the front half of the ritual chopper on turn 2 to kill a 2 health treant. (In this particular game coining the armoursmith would kill two minions early, giving you more early board control, and playing Ritual Chopper to kill a treant on turn 2 also prevents them from casting Aeroponics for 0 on turn 3. I just don't know if it's necessarily the right play; obviously there's value in holding armoursmith). Although...another line of play, if you knew you were going topdeck Awaken on turn 3, another line that would have worked in this particular game is pass turn 1, ritual chopper kill a treant turn 2, Awaken kills all the 1 health minions you haven't touched yet turn 3. Preeeetty hard line to make without Awaken already being in your hand, though...hmm...let's see, if you don't topdeck awaken...turn 2 would be ritual chopper kill a treant, turn 3 would be coin devoted maniac, turn 4 is scion of ruin. Hmm...yeah, actually given that you have ritual chopper, maniac, and scion in your opening hand, and can plan out your first 4 turns by saving the coin, maybe saving the coin is correct so that you don't end up doing hero power pass turn 2? (You would still change plans when you topdecked Awaken on turn 3, of course).

So...yeah, the turn 8 play looks correct to me. The turn 4 play is wrong--killed the wrong minion. The turn 1 play is...probably wrong, but that's a hard turn, I'm not 100% sure what the right play is (probably save the coin given that it lets you plan your next 4 turns and guarantee a turn 4 active scion of ruin?)

I've noticed a lot of the decks ive been facing are like either super control or pretty aggressive. So i dusted off murloc shaman and added in a couple new cards. But I don't have any dust or anything and i want to wait until the next expansion. I mean rip this version of the deck though as a lot of the anti-control stuff is leaving. Like if you get out angler most of the time the opponent can't do anything and they just lose.

I mean, Angler isn't leaving at least, so the deck's not dead.

Just Hagatha the witch and Shudderwock.
