I think Agrias was more a botch by me, thought Arks Save was earlier that round otherwise I think I hold

i think the lesson I learned is to be more liberal with NRs and such, may be more willing to throw down for some.

Also glad that the non-joke character won, sorry. Nothing personal against Edward but he is no one's favorite final fantasy character (I apologize if I am wrong)

More stats on supercharged rounds this year relative to last year, I know i touched on this earlier in the contest but now that we're wrapped:

-16 rounds last year that had an H4 didn't have one this year; conversely, no days had an H4 this year that didn't have one last year

-1 round last year had an H3 which didn't have one this year (Day 19, Beatrix hard boot) and one round barely had an H3 (1 save Day 96). There was also one round that did have H3 this year that didn't last year (Day 13, the Balthier hard boot...)

-Excluding the first 10 days, highest number of H1 saves last year was 56 (one time). This year: 10 rounds with 56 or more saves.

-Similarly in H2 (and again excluding the first 10 days), last year's highest number of saves was 51 (one time), and this year's H2s had 51 or more saves on 15 different occasions

-Lowest number of saves in an H1 was 39 (the Saturday of the Labour Day weekend) vs. 36 last year (which was a 10:14 am start time, yikes)

-Collectively, Rounds 1 through 98 were a bit over 14 1/2 hours shorter this year than last year. Which I guess averages out to about 9 minutes a round so not as impressive a statistic...

Reminds me that swordz offered an NR for Lightning on Day 65... gotta do what you gotta do sometimes even if it does seem early, can make all the difference in the end.

Still can't believe those deep Kefka and Edward runs after almost being out Day 45 and 59 respectively. Plus Rydia Day 18 and (coin flip) 60.

-5 rounds of the year had an H6; last year only one round had an H6, but that round was the last of the year (Day 5 of the Balthier hard boot). I'm not sure what happened to the other 2 rounds.

-2 rounds that did have H3 last year didn't have one this year (Day 5 and Day 28). There was also one round that had H3 last year that didn't last year (Day 12, Harder boot).

When I nominated Edward, I did so as a niche favorite and didn't expect him to make it too far past boots due to my schedule affecting my already spotty participation. I thought he might gain one or two more supporters to pick up some slack and maybe get him a top half placement, but I never expected him to explode and become the star of the contest. This was a fun one, thanks for hosting lefty and thanks to everyone who helped the Spoony Bard have his day.
