I think it is a legitimate debate whether that QB sneak was a worse play call than the seahawks throwing at the goal line in the super bowl

It was a silly play call to be sure, but I think putting it on that level is fairly results-oriented, no?

if Mahomes doesn't get hurt, then we probably look at that play (regardless of result), say "that was silly" and move on.

Week 2 against the Bears was their prime opportunity to score an upset and they blew it and cost me a point in pickem (also made me fail level 2 in Ladder)

I'm hearing 3-6. Given that he came back in 5 minutes when he got a high ankle sprain and stood in the locker room giving speeches after their win last night, I have no doubt in my mind he's gonna be ready to play against the Chargers in 3 1/2 weeks.

That said, please don't, Mahomes. Unless the Chiefs go 0-3 vs the Packers, Vikings, and Titans, they'll still be at least 6-4 going into that game and still in pretty good shape with the second-toughest game left on the schedule being at Chicago. Take the extra two weeks and just be extra sure, please please please.

Couldn't you say the same thing about the Seattle play? If they score, we all say, "that was an odd choice" and move on. Except, in the Seattle play, there was a chance the ball would never touch a defender; in the Mahomes sneak, there was a 100% chance of 1000+ pounds falling on him.

I would say the play calling of that game should have been "avoid contact on Mahomes at all costs". Put Matt Moore in just to sneak it even!

and as for that chart... 6 of your 8 "literally dead" players will be back this season lol

There's a greater chance statistically of a qb being injured on a pass play than a sneak so if you say don't let Mahomes sneak then you should really just be saying don't let him play at all that game.
