Couldn't you say the same thing about the Seattle play? If they score, we all say, "that was an odd choice" and move on. Except, in the Seattle play, there was a chance the ball would never touch a defender; in the Mahomes sneak, there was a 100% chance of 1000+ pounds falling on him. I would say the play calling of that game should have been "avoid contact on Mahomes at all costs".
