The advantage/disadvantage for transgender competitors (depending on FtM or MtF) is too great for them to be able to viably participate without any unfairness. Ideally there would be a separate section for transgender sportspeople, similar to the Paralympics but perhaps incorporated into the main events. Although that obviously comes with the problem of a far smaller pool of competitors to choose from. The Paralympics has managed, mind, so it could be viable. I also think it could be quite helpful to find out the effects particular diets and training regimes have based on sex-related hormones and the like. Right now optimal fitness training for women is mostly derived from men's, and these are thought to be less effective for women due to the biological differences. Transgender sportspeople's training and their performance could be looked at to provide some more basis for this, although of course there's a lot going on which creates difficulty in finding the cause for any biological differences in them. Also, I feel like the question in the first place is a little off. There's a reasonable proportion of FtM transgenders, similar to MtF if I recall correctly. We have been seeing many MtF trans athletes come in and dominate womans sports and even breaking world records. So if we want it to be fair we need to let FtM athletes come in and dominate Male sports. You dont understand When the championship game/series starts the underdog always has more support. It's usually 1 fanbase vs 30 others. Look at the recent NBA finals. Unless you were a GSW fan you wanted to see them crumble like everyone else, and it happened. Underdog stories are like David and goliath.
