Hes been on a respirator since Sunday night.
A regular cold turned into Pneumonia. He was improving until today, when the mucus in his lungs started to overwhelm him, so they upgraded the size of his tube and are increasing his supply / medicine. I need somewhere to vent about this, because if I post on FB Ill have people trying to bug me with calls, and I really cant deal with that right now. My daughter and wife are back home, over an hour away (hes in the Childrens hospital), and this sucks. I dunno what else to say. Thanks for reading. --- Phantom Dust. my son had pneumonia when he was 1, though nothing close to what youre dealing with. he just wasnt trying to fight it and let it sit in his lungs. a month of obnoxious nebulizer treatments followed, but he fought it off without needing any major interventions.

I had pneumonia three times growing up (6, 14, and 16). It sucked every time, but I also appreciated how my parents took care of me every time. I bet your son will remember his family having his back here too.

Pneumonia can just take a while sometimes even when it does get better so have to try and be patient. No doubt he will be well though
