Despite being what I'd consider a popular user I never really see you interacting with other cliques very much, or any cliques at all, really, which I think is a pretty interesting feature to have. You spend a lot of time in your own little bubble writing about and talking about the things that you're doing, seemingly without any concern for whether or not other people are reading. Honestly, I identify with this a lot, it's very similar to my own core posting style (without accounting for any additional posting I do on top of that). But, for all the same reasons, I find it pretty difficult to socialize with you since you're often talking about things I don't know/care about, seemingly don't care about attracting others to your topics, and make no apparent effort to befriend or impress your fellow users. Knowing these as both my own strengths (I like not being the type of person who stresses over whether or not other people like me) and my own weaknesses (at the same time it also means I make very few friends and even fewer close friends) I might be projecting some of my own sensibilities onto your behavior. But, at the least, the part about me feeling like it's difficult to socialize with you is definitely true.

We have somewhat similar hobbies but no real specific shared interests for the most part. To give an example that makes sense to normal people it would be like if you liked Hockey and I liked Baseball. Sure, we're both "sports fans" but it doesn't mean we have much to discuss with each other. We have at times been friends with similar people but never often or regularly participated in the same social groupings. I've found you mildly offputting and downright unpleasant at times, but none of those times were very recently at all. I don't think I've ever "gotten" your sense of humor in even a single instance, or understood why people seem to like you. That's not to say that I dislike you. I guess at the end of the day I'd still say you're several cuts above the average board 8 user.

One of the few people I've met from board 8 who I think I would say I share a real connection with. We have been what I consider actually close friends for quite some time. With some ups and downs, some lapses during those periods (generally at times when you were fed up with me and decided not to talk to me for a while, LOL), I think the fact that we still get along and chat with somewhat regularity after all this time is something special. You probably know more about me than anyone else in the world, which is pretty crazy to think about, but hey I guess it's true. I'm not sure if the reverse is true anymore but it definitely should have been at some point.

I look at your username and I feel like I should be recalling many memories, and I almost have these impressions on my brain as if there are some instances but they're on the tip of my fingers and I can't quite put specific moments or exchanges in mind between us. Like, I'm 95% sure you and I have interacted more than I have interacted with GANON and yet somehow I had way more to say about him.

you're still probably #2 in terms of the people who know the most about me for what it's worth! also, I haven't stopped talking to you because I got fed up with you in a long time, I just stopped getting on discord much last year because I got so much busier than I ever was before. I feel like I've finally hit a good online/real life balance though.

but yeah, many good times. I don't think I will probably ever be as involved in online stuff as I used to (I mean I can't even commit to playing a game more than two sessions in a row anymore...) unless I find myself out of both a relationship and a job at the same time but I find a lot of comfort in you basically always being around.

Nah you pretty much got me pegged. I like talking to folks and stuff but I ain't that great at it and a lot of the time I don't feel like I'm into the same stuff as other folks, so that kinda works both ways. I don't watch the same anime as the anime users, I don't watch the same wrestling as the APWT except maybe Iceman, I'm far too behind on video games to discuss anything relevant, the dillos seem fun but I don't even know what they're talking about half the time. So I just throw stuff out into the void and hope somebody likes it and engages, and the process is fun in its own merit even if nobody shows up. Part of it too is I am just not great at branding- like if I narrowed the TOMPIC down to like one or two things and went more in depth I might be able to engage more people, but that requires levels of attention span I don't have (and writeups reaching levels of detail I rarely feel necessary)

I don't have any specific memories of you, but I also don't feel confident describing you as a bland and inoffensive user. For all I know you might be very offensive. I do sort of remember you posting in topics like this before and probably receiving similar write ups where I mentioned that I didn't know anything about you. Well, looks like nothing has changed since then.

@LeonhartFour ,

You tend to be very easily and extremely dismissive of others, often shutting yourself off to potential new experiences. Combined with your inherently stubborn nature I've seen you offending people and making enemies at times... often without even realizing it. Anyway I don't find you to be super infuriating or anything but I did find myself wanting to talk to you less and less.

my extreme "dismissals" are rarely meant to be all that serious (and certainly almost never hateful) but they're often taken seriously anyway

Me generally having you on the ignore list has nothing to do with how you regard me and everything to do with board quality control. I find your banal quips to be equally effective at sapping my desire to read the board regardless of whether they're directed at me, someone I dislike, or nothing in particular.
