Its me making the saves. This is my computer account and Great_Ball is my mobile account. We always inform each other via Facebook messenger when we see a round up. I almost exclusively use messenger with my phone so when he messages me I get notified there and make the save with my phone since Im already using it.

We did a similar thing with Save My Pokemon but that time I would use this account with some saves and that account with other saves. I figured it might be less confusing for others if I just stuck to using one, and I picked my mobile account for the reasons stated above.

That doesn't really counter the claim of ball only being used in contests.

Which is the thing I find iffiest. Why do you never use that account to just like talk?

Look at the Great Paul and Great Ball accounts.

He was making saves on GP in Save my Father Figure and within a few minutes saves in SMFFFC on Great Ball...considering he is active on both contests within such short periods of time and that all the posts are in save my contests a lot of the justifications here don't feel like they hold up.

If its a trend that has been lasting for a while (as suggested by the finals voting pattern) and if Stifleds the one posting on Great_Ball (as implied by lefty) then has Stifleds mains been lasting longer than Great_Pauls in past contests?

Checking timestamps, there's nothing particularly blatant that sticks out. What might be more interesting is the potential absence of a post from Great_Ball when Great_Paul was known to be online. That's something I'll look for when I get back to my desktop.

After further investigation and witness testimonies, I am sufficiently convinced that Stifled and Paul are telling the truth about this matter; therefore the bans are rescinded.

I apologize for jumping to conclusions on this matter, and I am sure I will be hearing about this as long as I have about the last time I had a run-in with this rule.

Hey I have nothing I am ashamed of. I had the same suspicions during SMDC since you guys always saved in tandem. I was proud of him for investigating and making a hard decision and I am proud of him for admitting he was mistaken and reversing said decision.

But hey while we're still kind of discussing things can I take this opportunity to revisit a subject pertaining to smific more relevant to me? Future contest trading. Is that still off the table under the new regime or can it be brought back in the near future? Even if it's off limits for the duration of this contest I'd like to know if there's a possibility of it being back on the table or not.

I'm not just talking character-character either. Can I save characters for nominations for the next contest or is this still taboo? I ask because unfortunately I didn't even get to be a part of the discussion that banned this in the first place and that ultimately ended up changing my play style.

IMO bring it back on an individual basis, but let it stay forever banned from use by entire factions as THAT is what led to the most lopsided and uninteresting smific in history, not the actual practice.

I think its better off staying banned. You dont even need a faction to impact a final with it. All it takes is some people without a horse in the final and they can offer all their saves. If even 5 people did that its several dozen bought saved

Maybe not the most lopsided final, but the most undisputed path to the final ever, with it being certain who was going all the way from like... what, Day 66 (top 3rd)? Whenever it was, it became pretty apparent who would be making it to the finals and everyone else was fighting for 2nd place.

Easy. You can only promise your own future vote/nomination for x votes in the final or whatever, not Ermine's or greengravy's, or vcharon's or who haves you. On the flip side if you're the one trying to secure the votes for this contest you only have the power to offer your own primary/secondary/tertiary support or your own nominations (1 double nom/5 regular). You have no power beyond that.

This also solves this issue. As it can only be done on a 1-1 basis, no one individual has the power to secure 50 votes. Now if several different people are willing to offer whatever in the future for current contest votes, then yes that's a bunch of bought votes, but realistically the next contest won't be prematurely determined because the people that cashed in are going to do so for different characters in the following contest. (e.g. barrel wants Genny's primary Sephiroth support for x Tidus votes in the final, not barrel gets Genny's, charon's, MZero's, and whipper's primary support for Contest XXI or Chris gives gravy's, Ermine's, leo3leo's, and his own nominations and secondary support for red's and Inviso's Steiner votes in the final)

That stops nothing since all those people could then just make the same offer individually. Like if I'm the head of the cabal, and I offer my votes for Kefka support next year, then I just tell my underlings to do the same thing, and Ermine posts on his own saying he offers his votes for Kefka support and swordz posts to offer his votes for Kefka support, etc...

1 person doesnt need to gain 50 votes to change a final or the next contest. Even on a 1-1 basis the 10 bought saves that otherwise wouldve been non-saves due to indifference/not liking either could still change the outcome of a final so its best to not even open up those floodgates again. Theres enough diverse opinion that basically any final could result in at least 10 people not caring enough and just selling saves.

For the record I refer to them as "friends" not underlings.

I admit when I am cast as the villain I like to live up to expectations. Certain things stick in my craw. Inviso mocking steiner and you turning your nose up at my efforts are two such things.

Inviso I could let go with his help in ensuring Steiner's victory. Also generally good taste such as Faris.

Also it helps I just really don't like gau

None of you will ever understand how much sleep I lost the year Steiner won! Gravy is the worst.
