I finally managed to buy all of the Gun Blaze West manga. Got all three novels from a game seller I go to. $5 a piece. I'm pretty pleased. Only problem now is that, because Nobuhiro Watsuki was arrested, it makes me seems like a creep.

I didn't read that one, but I remember when it came out. Despite being tied to a popular name, it was pretty obscure.

I've been trying to hunt down an obscure manga myself; Toto: The Wonderful Adventure. It was a pretty cool fantasy story very loosely based on The Wizard of Oz.

Made in Abyss spoilers regarding season 2

If I had to guess, season 2 will be the bondrewd arc and end when they take the elevator. Or the author plans to release enough of the manga to get a good stopping point for the village arc.

I mean, with the pacing of the manga and season 1 theres really no reason season 2 couldn't finish things completely. At the very most there will be enough for 3 seasons assuming it actually ends when they reach the bottom (and that the bottom is layer 7 or 8, I guess that could just be the charted abyss and there could 50 layers for all we know).

Wizard = 30+ year old male virgin (namely me). I was talking about those topics by Harpie and her alt. One thread reached 500 in a couple days and I only needed to see a few posts to know it was PotD being PotD.

I have researched this (via Google, Reddit, Steam, etc.), and ... no, there is no patch. Not only that, but the Steam discussion board for the game is locked down. Looks like Sekai Project is determined to get people to buy the adult version from Denpasoft. Or pirate it. That seems to be a popular choice, too. Granted, I like Sekai Project, and I have the legit version of the All Ages game, but this feels a little heavy-handed when so many devs hand out adult patches like Halloween candy.

That's what it sounds like just reading your post about it. All it's really going to do is hurt their sales.

I know this might sound...bad, especially considering the recent microtransaction fiasco with Battlefront, but they should release the all ages version on steam and just charge like $5 to unlock adult content.

But I know people would just get upset about that as well. In short, I don't know what they should do XD.

I haven't looked at actual PotD in months. Been a good few months. If any dev releases a game for money and then charges additional money to get the adult version, I'm pirating that game without a shred of remorse and hoping it drives them out of business. Fuck those devs.

I gotta catch up then. I've been catching up on Promised Neverland; it's definitely staying interesting even after the Escape arc.

And I'm only on chapter 9 pf Yotsuba, but I'm calling it now: Yotsuba running around acting like a gangster has to be one of the top chapters in the whole story.

Neato, there's a Star Ocean game on Steam now. Never touched the series, but afaik, it's like the Tales series in having actiony fights, rather than turn based.

Woah that completely flew under my radar. I loved that game on xbox but it was a fucking nightmare in post game because there were 3 discs and a lot of end game stuff was on different discs so you kept having to get up and switch. Obviously will not be a problem for PC. The story is kinda... it's not very good. The gameplay though is quite fun and theres lots of post game stuff to do. I ran through it on each difficulty originally and had a blast on the hardest one trying to figure out how the hell to win certain encounters, but there was always a way. For less than 20 bucks its a steal IMO.

EDIT: Also the synthesis lady's voice may be the most irritating sound in video games.

Haven't played 5 but I thought that was considered the worst. The gameplay in 4 was completely fine IMO even if the story was all over the place and nonsensical. Then again at least there weren't 4D people and all that bullshit from 3. Assuming you mean nuptune from neptunia I actually don't mind her. Something about her performance as welch just made me want to strangle her.

SO4 wasn't a terrible game really, I had some fun with it on the 360... aside from the endless disc swapping for post-game content (the PS3 version was much better in that regard)

Back to reading book 10 of the Malazan series. Was hoping to finish it before the month is out, but been reading too slow for that. Read 2 chapters yesterday and 2 today and will probably read at least one more later. Got a better understanding of how the ending stuff will play out now. Really hope that the Bonehunters aren't wiped out in their battle to come. Maybe Ben can swoop in and save them, or maybe Bottle can go apeshit on the enemy. Stilling waiting for Ganoes to come back to the story as well, maybe he can be the savior.

As for anime, I'm through ep26 of Eyeshield 21 so far and ep11 of Tears to Tiara. Thinking of knocking Tiara out first, since there's a lot less of it to watch, but think reading my book will be the priority for now.

I got my PS4 last Friday, but despite the fact that I had already picked up a few cheap games for it, I haven't even unboxed it yet.

My justification for not picking Integrity & Faithlessness as the worst in the Star Ocean series is that, in order for a game to be the worst, it must first be complete, which that game is not. But yes, SO3 more or less ruined the series, IMO, and the games that have followed it have not helped.

Meanwhile, Book II of FE Heroes is good stuff. I guess Nintendo and Intelligent Systems have been putting the $100,000,000 U.S. they earned from Book I to good use on the new content. (Not exaggerating on that dollar amount, BTW. FE Heroes makes bank.)

SO3 had incredible gameplay and it doesn't bother me in the least that everything is a simulation because that doesn't take away from how real it is to the characters themselves. In games with omnipotent or near omnipotent deities, does their existence automatically detract from how personal the game itself feels? Who's to say every fictional universe isn't just the result of some deity getting bored and setting up a "game"?

Plus it's been done more recently by a game that's been considered one of the best games of the past decade, (big spoilers obviously) Xenoblade.

Argh! Goddammit, this is the bad thing about reading mangas, the hiatuses.

Mousou Telepathy is on an indefinite hiatus until the mangaka de-stresses and gets back her motivation.

Dad, The Beard Gorilla, and I, while not a hiatus on the mangaka side, is on hiatus for the translators until Summer 2018 when the volume is released.

Those were my favorite fluffy and warmhearted mangas to read, and now I have nothing to fill that void.

On the other hand though, the mangaka for Hunter X Hunter has supposedly recovered well enough to go back to regular serialization.

There were also some reports that the author went bowling with his buddies, so at least that means his back is mostly fully healed.

As long as he doesn't go back to playing every Dragon Quest game again, I think we should be good. (Although considering that Dragon Quest Builders 2 is going to be released soon in Japan, we might be in trouble)

I am not faulting the game play. That works beautifully. I am faulting the writing and the aforementioned spoiler. It feels like Enix intended to kill off the series, but then made a zombie of it after the Square Enix merger. EDIT -- To be fair, I do have a strong bias in play here. SO2 is my all-time favorite PS1 RPG, and every Star Ocean game released after that has felt like a slap in the face.
