Moneyball - 7/10

Debating whether I enjoyed this movie on the basis of the acting and storytelling, or because I'm close to the source material. Either way, good movie.

Good, Bad, and the Ugly - 9.6

Loved this movie, especially Tuco. The Dollars trilogy is seriously the best movie ever made. I don't see how anything else can top it.

Richie Rich - 8/10

Childhood memories and all that.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (original) - 8.5/10 : I decided that I wanted to see the original before the one that just released, and overall I was very pleased with it. Some parts were excessive, but overall I thought it was very solid.

Conan O'Brian: Can't Stop - 6/10 : It was alright, not the best documentary, but not bad either.

The Tree of Life - 9/10 : I think this may be my favorite movie of the year. Beautiful imagery and a lot of heart.

Our Idiot Brother - 7/10. Some funny moments, but not exactly what I was expecting. I was hoping for a laugh-a-minute comedy, but it ended up being more of a drama.

Wished that the film featured the other characters a bit more but I came in expecting it to mostly be about Billy Beane and boy did Pitt give an excellent performance portraying Beane

The Kids Are All Right - 5.2/10 (Annette Bening character was just plain hideous. It's been such a long time since I have hated a character to that extent).

Wow, loved this and I'm glad I did. Probably my movie of the year. Loved that ending shot and I just realized I really like Kirsten Dunst, one of my favorite actresses now.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (US) - 7.5 /10 : For the first 3/4 of the movie it was going toe to toe with the original and I believe it had the potential to be better than it. However, I felt that in that last 1/4 the movie became real sloppy and drawn out. It ended on a very disappointing note.

Grease - 6.3/10

Despite having a great soundtrack and all, I just think the story didn't make a lot of sense, the characters had a considerable lack of depth, it was really cheesy at times, and oh boy that ending was rushed. They practically spoiled sweet Sandy for no apparent reason.

Adventures of Tintin - 7.5

Was amazed by the visuals and how well-done the motion capture was executed. This was easily the best use of 3-D from the four films that I have seen in that format. However, its plot and writing are a bit basic and nothing to write home about but they were still good, just disappointing due to having higher expectations

The Artist - 9.1

Easily one of the best movies of 2011, and one that'll almost certainly win the oscar for Best Picture, and this is coming from someone who isn't a big fan of silent films.

3 Ninjas: High Noon at Mega Mountain - 2/10

I don't remember this movie being that bad. Nostalgia doesn't even help it, not to mention that the copy I watched had numerous stuff missing from it.

The Descendants - 8.2

Was surprised to see that it was mostly a drama after seeing it billed as a comedy and a drama. That ended up being a good thing because quite a bit of its attempts at humor didn't resonate with me

Attack the Block - 6.0 : This one was alright, but I wish it had more of a beginning. It kind of just jumped right in, felt like it was only 2/3 of a movie.

I also tried watching Troll Hunter but I didn't finish it. The only thing I took away from it was a clip from the beginning where the hunter yells out "TROOOOLLLL" seems like something that would be used for message boards. Other than that it was just not very interesting, and after about 1/2 way through I stopped caring and turned it off.
