Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves - 8.5
Loved this as a kid, finally got a chance to see it on Blu-Ray and not VHS and it so nice. Extended version too which was a little lolzy but whatever.

A pretty fun and informative movie. It's quite weird to watch a movie about Iran in French though.

Tangled - 7.4

Good animated film but I was disappointed with the case of characters


Blade Runner - 7.9

If I came in with low expectations and having read the book that it was based off of, I probably would have liked it a tad bit better, though my score should indicate that I really did enjoy the film. The final scene with Roy and Deckard's commentary immediately afterward were incredible

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time - 7.3

Overall, I don't think that it did the game justice. Then again, it isn't as if the game in its original format would have translated well into a movie, so I was expecting it to be changed, I just didn't know what areas would be altered and to what degree. It was good action flick though and I think that it was well-cast as a whole.

Cool movie. All those old characters all together. My fave was probably Jekyll/Hyde. I wish they'd do more of these movies.

Definitely bizarre (what Cage movie isn't to some degree?) but I was very impressed with the direction that the movie took as it went on

Sling Blade - 9.0

Awkward and predictable as it may be, everything was executed perfectly. This movie very much deserved its nominations for best screenplay and leading actor, the former which they won. Although I really like Thornton as an actor, I would have never pegged him as a skilled actor or writer

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time - 7.3

Overall, I don't think that it did the game justice. Then again, it isn't as if the game in its original format would have translated well into a movie, so I was expecting it to be changed, I just didn't know what areas would be altered and to what degree. It was good action flick though and I think that it was well-cast as a whole.

I just wish they did more of the "climbing a big castle" thing instead of just running around a big desert. Also needed more time rewind.

Drive - 9.2 /10

Easily the best movie I have seen this year (admittedly I have not seen much). I will say this though, the violence kind of skyrockets to a level of brutality that you do not see coming. It is nothing close to torture porn or other similar garbage, but when it happens, you just kind of get taken back.

Cencoroll - 8.8

Very strange, but entertaining short film. It was done almost solely by one man, so I can imagine that if this had a bigger crew and a longer runtime, it could've been amazing.

The Great Debaters - 8.3

Watched it over the course of a few days in English class. Very well-written and acted.

Tangled - 9.1

Very funny and entertaining. Loved it all the way through.

Bringing Up Baby - 8.5

Another very funny movie. Fantastic performances from Grant and Hepburn.

Secretariat - 7.5

100% of the audience should have known ahead of time what the eventual outcome would be so it was interesting to see how they would fill the gaps and how compelling they would make the races.

Surprisingly, the latter was done very well and there was even a time or two that I was sucked in and forgot that I already knew what would happen. The former was done well except for family life. Whether or not it was all accurate, it still seemed a little forced, especially with the eldest daughter.

Pretty enjoyable movie, I might be a little biased since the main character drives a white 1970 Challenger R/T.

1960's Pirate Radio Station. Great cast, great music, great movie. Highly recommend.

The Mechanic - 5/10
I don't even get the point of this movie. The opening scene starts up with this nice intro on how he cleans up kills and makes it look like something else happened and then after that it just turned into a typical action film where everyone just died. And the ending was so dumb and predictable.
