Present draw was Ignis LMR dupe and Shantotto AOSB dupe.

The 5 tickets gave me mostly USBs and glint+s, with Kuja AOSB being the highlight of the first 4. The 5th one was a good one though, giving me Paine AASB and Tidus Sync1.

Gave Titan a few tries yesterday. Got him down to 1.9% on one of them! I definitely have the damage to kill him (Cloud was capping 99999 on sync commands and braver), but I can't get the timing down. He jumps to savage 3 so damn often. I try and load up for Cloud's AOSB to do a whole wack of damage, but haven't hit him with it at savage 0 yet. I build up to about 13-14 seconds, then unleash all sorts of hell with Cloud SASB/USB1, Zidane AASB, and Faris's chain (Elarra is my healer, Tyro for support). If I can figure out the timing, I should be able to get him.

Jeez, that was tough. Even with 2 healers spamming Last Stand medicas, I was one turn away from a guaranteed wipe when his Ultima gave me enough jauge to stagger him with Seifer. Then Sephiroth cast his USB to take Long Gui's last 10%.

If I was to do it again, I'd suggest using Unique or default Soul Breaks to Stagger him more easily.

Got Titan!!

Stalled like previously, but after Tyro used his AASB, his next action was an entrust to Elarra, not Cloud. That helped get another USB1 up, and get things sped up. It's still ridiculously annoying how often he jumps to rage 3. I was able to toss Cloud's AOSB at around 55%, got him down to 5%. Used my last fabula mage for his phase 3 wall, used Faris's level 3 brave command to get rid of his buff, but the chain ran out. Zidane hit for 2k per hit with storm assault, but even with no chain and at rage 3, Cloud hit around 12k per sonic rush+ hit (still had level 2 wind, thanks to sync, and Zidane's limit break), and that was it. Did it in 33.07.

Now, should I put a level 50 Titan in my deck against him? Instead of Syldra?

You get two magicite the first time you beat a 6* magicite depending if they're the magic or physical effective versions. Every other time is just 1 magicite per win. I just stick to HP boons on all the 6* magicite (and Wodin) since you don't need to farm multiples level 99s for diffrent passives, everyone benefits from HP boons so they're the safest choice. You can only equip one 6* magicite of a esper anyway.

I have a complex setup for my 6* magicites

Basically try to get BWard + SWard + 2x HP Boon + Def/Res Boon in every deck as well as offensive stuff, but because the defensive ones don't matter per party composition I basically alternate BWard/SWard and Def/Res Boon along with 1x HP each (playing around the forced wards and boons from the sub magicites so I don't double any of them, since they are needed for the empowers since I don't put em on my 6*s)

But the keep it simple stupid way to do it that's almost as good is just to put your empowerx2 on the 6*

I just put all the other other passives on Madeens or other 5* magicite since they're cheaper to fix in case you make a mistake. Never really saw the appeal of putting more element bonus on 6* magicite since you'll want to bring them to dampen the same esper's element (and Wodin later) anyway so you might as well stack more HP (unless you're depending on HP being low enough that it triggers a trance.)

Speaking of first clears



Feels kinda bad not using Seph but I don't have any Empower stacking on him and Dark Cecil Sync C2 was fine for avoiding the instakill in phase 3.

Setzer Awakening was good for countering the stupid aegis def buff and I had both Shadow and Dark Cecil with syncs which was plenty of damage output for an easy sub 30.

Now I've done all the 6* yay! Actually kinda looking forward to tackling the other versions of them for lenses. Though I should probably go for a Wodin first

I like HP boons better on 6* magicite than Madeens that way that 6* magicite is pretty much always useful when you need that element. Heck I use 3 dual HP boons still, 2 on Wodin and two on the offense/damper 6* magicite and 2 Madeens with the wards.

I do have an extra level 99 Titan/Ramuh/Alexander/Shiva with two fast acts in case I don't need that much HP.

To be clear my actual setup is (and there is probably a reason this isn't exactly optimal with Wodins but it let me get the configuration I wanted on the 6* decks-- one of each ward, 2 hps, and both def boons, with 2 madeens giving me offensive stats and the 5* elemental giving me the wards/empowers)

Ramuh HP + BWard
Leviathan HP + SWard
Ifrit Def Boon + Res Boon
Titan HP + SWard
Valefor HP + Def Boon
Shiva HP + SWard

Diabolos HP + SWard
Alexander HP + BWard

But in terms of keeping things simple you can always use empowers to start then change them over to something more optimized over time. Empowers are easy to get since you can get empower 15 on a 4* magicite (and they give you a bunch of fully loaded 4* magicites to boot if you didn't already use em and had them vaulted like me) and in terms of optimization it doesn't change a ton

I don't really bother with old empower elements anymore since Wodin comes with his own elemental empower/dampen seal that stacks with 6* magicite element power/dampen so they're mostly obsolete. But even before Wodin I didn't really use them, most of the time it was survival issues with 6* magicite besides Titan and Shiva but those guys are easy anyway. Oh well maybe for Leviathan as well since that's a DPS race.

I'd probably just cut Empowers from 2 to 1 and Dampens from 1 to 0 if I did that. Still think Empower x3 is good. More damage is a good thing to have. I wouldn't wanna stack 4 HP Boons per deck too many diminishing returns there

So maybe HP + Single Empower for each Magicite I'm thinking with that in mind. Darn. Wish I'd known Wodin worked like that going in. Oh well.

The elemental empowers get a penalty with 6* magicite's blessing (and Wodin's seals?) so I still think the HP Boons are still worth using over elemental boosts despite the penalty (or I'd rather just use fast act instead of 3 dual HPs) Besides with all the anti heal/sap/gravity BS Wodin and other modern bosses use I'd rather have the extra HP for a little more stoneskin or an extra sap tick.

I guess elemental boost is still useful for Dark/Wind since those Wodins aren't out yet (don't need Holy since everyone uses Madeen anyway)

Well they don't get any higher "penalty" than the usual. You get 25% potency out of that third layer of empower but I'll take +3.75% elemental damage over +2% HP personally.

Basically 3 layers of Empower has imo always been worth it. Getting a free source just means you run one instead of two.

I'd take the HP over elemental damage because like I said lot of sap/gravity/anti-heal BS in the current meta, if that extra 2% HP saves you from last stand or a sap tick death it's worth it. Bosses are bulky as hell for sure and savage breaking is important but you can stack usbs or bursts to get that extra damage while you can't with HP (unless you count stoneskin but you might as well go for more HP anyway to make the bubble more durable)

The new Hero Abilities are out! I got Emperor's ASAP. Just need to wait till banner 2 and hopefully I get some new toys for him to fight the Dreambreaker and Wind Magic Weak Wodin.

The reason not to pick Rinoa: the LMR in the selection is doublecast Black Magic, i.e. not Witch, which means it won't do anything for Rinoa's hero ability or (if you have it) the commands of her ice sync.

Granted, the LMR for Noctis is Doublecast Combat, which is more or less only useful for his earth-elemental Hero Ability. So I guess that might be even worse.

Full disclosure: I picked the Rinoa set anyway. AASB and AOSB good for ice Rinoa, AOSB and LMR good for earth Rinoa.

I'm probably gonna pick Rinoa out of the gift set because she's one of the few characters who has ice infusion and can use Dark Shiva so she can kill Valefor's tornadoes, and magic Valefor is the last 6* magicite I have left (because of those stupid tornadoes!)

Every other awakening is dupe except Locke, Ayame and Tifa, and I don't really need Locke since I beat Fire Physical Wodin already and I just need an consistent imperil source for physical earth so Tifa probably won't help against him or Dreambreaker. Ayame might be okay for the Dreambreaker though.

Sub30ed Titan (29.43). Didn't throw the AOSB this time, but the USB1+sync combo is so destructive, especially with Zidane's LB to top Cloud back up to level 3 wind empowerment when Titan diffuses it. As long as I have Faris ready to go with her lvl 3 brave command as soon as Titan buffs, I'm essentially good to go. Definitely helped that I skipped the middle wall, as one of Cloud's sync commands took Titan from 56.2% to somewhere under 40. Having the Titan magicite is super helpful too. Gonna get one more for a 99 copy, then either look at another one to go after, or maybe the magic effective version.

That's true, and I have a pretty solid magic earth team (and a half decent earth physical team too). For magic weak Titan, I'd have Alph SASB/AASB, Ultimecia AASB, and either Emperor or OK AASB in terms of DPS I think.

A bit surprising how easy it was. I actually made Starfall for Emperor as well and I have both awakenings for him so he was unexpectedly the strongest DPS. But Kefka and Jihl both had Syncs too so yeah just a lot damage flying around

I beat Earth Physical weak Wodin thanks to finally getting Bartz Awakening 1!! I was thinking I wouldn't be able to beat this version for a long time because physical earth imperil is so rare, but then I remembered I had Dorgann's earth imperil LMR, and I read his Awakening has an imperil chase (also his BSB as backup). One mistake I was making was that I was using Galuf's imperil USB early, and one time I accidentally used Awakening instead of the USB but I was seeing that Dorgann with Awakening + USB chases was wrecking Wodin with imperils that Galuf was contributing as a third DPS and the three of them were tearing through Wodin. The slot 2/4 death is such BS though! That's probably why I took a long time to kill him but hey a win is a win!

I'm pretty tempted by the half price Wind banner, mostly because of Fujin. I had her first awakening and I have no dupes here and I still need to beat wind magic weak Argent Odin. The down side is the Angeal stuff, I can't see any way he makes my team for one of the most stacked elements in the game. But half price for a character I could really use is tempting.

Also his HA sucks so that really helps prevent me from pulling.

Also don't forget to switch your RW to a wind chain, those usually do the best during these FBC events.

So derp moment I actually got the realm chain instead of the wind chain for Faris with my ticket! I attempted the FFV dreambreaker, and this dude is raw BS. Berserk on slot 1 lasts a long time and there's no astra in this realm WTF! Dreambreaker stops lasts a long time too which sucks as well! I have to use grace on both Lenna and Orran to pacify the berserks and stops, and use Lenna's BSB for the mind boost. I can get to phase 3 pretty consistently but he's really tanky in savage level 3, and he paralyzes slot 2 and 4. I also took a lost so I could get the historia crystal level 120 cap unlock and buffed the HC to level 120 to recover from the status effect a little earlier.

Really wish Krile had bard 6 instead of 4 so she could use the crit chance song. Guess I'm gonna have to get Faris' Awakening as well with one of the selects.

I swapped Krile for Galuf, and used his super with Orran's BSB and I finally beat the old bastard!



Sweet! Just have 7 and 10 dreambreakers left for the Cardia missions (besides Bahamut, probably can't beat him yet)

Unless I luck into it through a ticket or daily I'm most likely going to pick Barrett Awakening 2 with one of the selects because the Dreambreaker uses two 70% full breaks (ugh) Might need Tidus Awakening too but I can get that through the coins. Just gotta wait out the last fest tickets (or I could luck into his Dyad on Banner 3.)

Impressive, I still haven't beaten him. I was dealing with berserk just by casting Ultra Cure. Dreambreaker stop you need to boost Tyro's mind, but for Orran I didn't think it was a problem as long as you have the realm mind artifact.

Azulmagia's dreambreaker stop seems to last a lot longer than other dreambreakers' stops, sometimes I'd get screwed over because I was waiting on Orran to snap out of stop so he could use his sync, but I found out it lasts a long time because Azulmagia uses a mind/def/red/attack/magic buff and it makes stop last longer, but if you overwrite it with Faris' USB1 Orran can snap out of stop pretty quickly.

I also took a shot at the FF7 and 10 Dreambreakers, I got to 70% on Ultima Weapon, even though I slogged through the second phase's 70% full break since I wanted to save Orran's sync for the last phase. That wasn't too bad but in phase 3 when Seph Awakening and Cloud's sync ran out I wasn't doing enough damage to crack the level 3 savage. Maybe if I had Barrett's Awakening 2 I could overwrite the second phase's full break and keep Seph/Cloud's damage up so their Awakening/Sync time carries over to Phase 3 and finish him off there with Barrett's Awakenings since the null dark/winds really hurt Seph/Cloud's damage.

FF10 I got to about 60%, this one is more annoying than hard, but I think I can manage it if I get Tidus Awakening and Yuna's Elara clone with the coins. Main problem is the lack of buffs and no way to speed up Paine's chain outside of Orran USB, well until I can max hone Orran's awakening since I have to use it at the start because Yuna has no proshellga glint+ yet.

Also I should have brought this up but it's f***ing stupid that Azulmagia's Aqua Breath is non elemental so Lenna's water null USB is gimped.

Neat; that's actually accurate to FFV. Although FFV does have water-elemental attacks, Aqua Breath is instead a non-elemental attack that deals extra damage to monsters flagged as 'desert'. Someone on the dev team genuinely likes FFV... although, given how many toys Bartz has, I suppose that's hardly news. The Self Destruct at 0 HP is also a cute nod; in FFV, using Self Destruct on Azulmagia is how you cheese the fight, because he'll learn it from you and retaliate in kind.

Of course, Dreambreaker Full Break and stackable, no-drawbacks Savage Mode destroy any good will thus generated. *shakes fist*

Sadly Yuna's Elarra clone USB isn't available with coins, basically none of the good ones are. Although her poor man's Elarra knock off without regenga is there. I'm pretty disappointed with the coin options for USBs.
