Another Odin down, this one was the toughest one yet because of all the damage, the saps, and the timing of having to use Tyro's USB1 for astra in between turn 12 and 13.

Dream Select ends in three days and I still haven't picked my Awakenings. But I have so many to choose between.

Arc would be good for the Dreambreaker since I got his realm chain, but he's not going to be useful outside of that. Aria might be good too since her lensable healer stuff sucks.

Krile would be nice to go along with her sync, but she's stuck with a 4 hit HA and Meltdown as an earth mage.

Strago would help a lot with my FF6 dps since I'd rather go mage since I have Mog chain/awakening and I have Strago's chain, USBs and LBO. But I also want Terra's wind awakening so I can use her as a Wind mage and ignore the Ice Dragon's null fires. I may pull on the FF6 banner this week though.

Red XIII could help me beat Wodin but Emperor is getting a similar HA soon and I could just wait on that.

Is Cait Sith still worth getting if I already have Mog and Edward Awakenings?

Rinoa's earth Awakening would be a nice backup for her sync for Wodin but the berserk is really discouraging.

Vivi or Ace's would be backup for their syncs in case they run out of hones, but since I sub30 the T-0 dreambreaker I probably don't need Ace's. And I dunno if I want to juggle a mage against Deathguise since most of my good FF9 characters are physical.

Tidus could be the key to beating Sin since I have his sync1 and the mission is still up, but it's also pretty old.

Vanille might be useful for Dreambreaker.

Red XIII is definitely better than Rinoa, so if you're considering both you can probably rule out Rinoa. I did get some good use out of hers though by combining it with her ice awakening.

I think you probably don't need Cait Sith if you have Mog/Edward... although I don't have those so I can't compare them.

Red XIII is actually in competition with Emperor not Rinoa, Rinoa is in competition with Krile.

Healer (most likely Duece for her stoneskin)

I tried fighting a Wodin for the first time to day and surprise surprise I can't beat him because he's too bulky. I tried the lighting physical vulnerable because people said it was the easiest if you have Lightning Awakening and Sync which I have on top of the Dyad but I can barely break cap until the chain is high, I have Deuce use the crit chance bard and crit damage boost from Orran's BSB. It's just getting tiring at this point with Dreambreaker and such level bosses that they just outbulk you unless you have the sync and awakening to deal with the 4+ million HP and absurd damage reductions. They don't even seem that hard on paper it's just you can only do so much with 15 seconds building chain until you can crack their savage mode and when you're awakening/sync time runs out that character is basically useless.

I dunno I guess Prishe isn't Wodin viable until she gets a HA.

No room for Ignis. He wouldn't be able to contribute besides that outside of being an entrust bot anyway.

Lightning is my main DPS, Prishe is my secondary (yeah I know she sucks, but her awakening buff helps Lighting break cap, and I already RB'd her.) Orran with his Awakening/Glint+/BSB, Deuce with Awakening/Elara clone USB/stoneskin USB to deal with anti heal, and her bard crit boost and HA bard attack/magic boost and Prompto my chain user/imperiler.

Couldn't fit Ignus in there even if I wanted to.

I've been using Tyro for all the physical ones because crit fixing from his USB4/Awakening is so useful for extra damage. Elarra's USB2 helps too. I have Orran's awakening and sync but without crit fixing he doesn't make the cut for me.

The first Odin is definitely the toughest because once you have the magicite it can repeatedly break cap and does a minor imperil to help counter the elemental resistance moves he does.

I'm using Duece's crit chance boosting bard skill with Orran's BSB, isn't that the same as Tyro AA/USb4 & Elara USB2?

Well I made my Awakening selections and I chose Terra Wind and Strago awakening. I figured I haven't had much luck with the tickets in the FF6 realm anyway because of how crowded it is so at least I have a mage team for the dreambreaker.

For crit damage boosting, yeah Orran's BSB does the same as Elarra's USB2 (or Zack's chain and awakening). But unless I'm missing something about Deuce, Ode to Victory starts at 10% crit rate and ramps up to 50%, while Tyro starts at 50% and ramps up to 100%.

I'vd been making some more progress on Dreambreakers.

This one could have easily been a sub-40. I mistimed Hilda's Dispel at the start of phase 3, which easily cost me those 1:09 seconds.

Not sure about sub-30 though. Maybe with an Odin deck (I'll get to that some day, I guess), or if I honed Cait's AASB.

I beat two of the new Omega's already, Dark and Holy. Got new Anima Lens+ to get Edge's HA. I was reluctant since I already beat the FF4 dreambreaker but since everyone uses Edge for Wodin I might as well join the club.

Happy with the XIV draw. VI could have been better, but it's fine.

I have Shadow's chain so I guess this probably puts him ahead of Seifer (who I have chain and awakening for). If I could get his awakening too that would be great.

Also cleared my first 4 omegas. It's kind of a fun fight, not too gimmicky compared to magicite and dreambreakers. It was fun to get to play with my absolutely stacked physical holy team.

All 8 Omegas beaten! That was actually fun for the most part, he's tougher but I've gotten tougher too with more HAs and Orran. That Wind Weak one still sucks but it's so satisfying to overwrite his buffs with Orran.

I also got Terra's HA with the Anima Lens+ for the dreambreaker and went mage for Wind Weak Omega with her. I'm a believer in those 4 hit + 1 piercing hit HAs now!

I also got Ashe's HA to deal with Magic Leviathan and I had to get Garnet's chain from the gem select, but at least I finally beat this fucker!



That just leaves magic Valefor for me on 6* magicite.

All 8 Omegas done. Not too hard, but not so easy that I could just steamroll them all either. I wish we had more content of this difficulty.

Fire-weak was surprisingly one of the worst. I ran Balthiers Chain and he couldn't even keep up with all that dampen Fire. Looking back after doing them all, I should have just gone fire magic and torn him a new one through the dampens.
Dark-weak was the other major pita. I couldn't handle the statuses with Aerith+Tyro as healer-support combo. I after I switched Tyro out for good old trusty Larsa, I got a fairly comfortable win.
I was worried about Ice-weak, since Serah with only her CSB and an imperil BSB isn't exactly an ideal chain holder, but my mage team supported by Cait AASB just kept the damage high despite his massive dampen Ice.
Others were mostly unremarkable.

I beat fire weak Omega pretty easily with Vivi's Sync. Ace took most of the first half while Vivi stocked up command 2's and then he took off around 40% of Omega's HP with his command 1 before Omega could stack null fires.

Also it's ticket day! I got a dupe Vayne BSB :(

I cleared Ice Dragon (35.03) with a team of Celes, Shadow, Edgar, Relm, and Orran. Terra is my best VI character but this Dreambreaker is kind of a middle finger to Terra with both silence and barfire. So I decided to leave her on the bench and it worked.

Finally beat Leviathan due to the Ashe sync off last fest and using the Awakening dream draws on Desch and Ashe. Now just Alexander and Diablos to beat. And the Wodins. And the 6* magicites of the other type. Lots of content left is what I mean to say!

Don't forget realm Bahamut after the last dreambreaker and the labyrinth dungeons coming up with bosses with 7 million HP and 90% damage reduction savage modes! And they still have sub30 prizes!

I decided to pull on FF6 banner 1 since I'm gonna tackle the dreambreaker today in hopes of Relm/Mog stuff.

Alright I beat the Ice Dragon!!



Like most modern bosses this guy isn't even that hard despite all the gravity attacks but the bulk at the last phase is what screws me over. I was originally using my awakenings at the 15 second mark and letting Terra tear through his first two phases with 29999 attacks, but I wouldn't have any awakening time left for the last 30-20% and he'd out stall me, so I tried using Terra's fire awakening in the first/second phase and then the wind one after the 15 seconds were up but that didn't work either. So I actually used Terra's USB1 in the first phase and saved her Awakenings for the second phase and I finally had enough time to kill the little bastard in the third phase! Terra's USB1 is still surprisingly good because it lasts 25 seconds instead of 15 like most so it can still stack with other soul breaks in long fights like this.

Getting a realm healer sync/glint+ is always nice unless you're planning to use your off realm slot in the dreambreaker for a healer.

I'd trade the 3 things I got on my pull for that Relm sync in a heartbeat.

Relm is GREAT for the VI dreambreaker. Her USB1 means tons of instant actions for your team. Her USB2 gives last stand and has a periodic affect that overwrites sap. Both are available in the lens shop too. So I definitely wouldn't waste my off realm slot on a healer if you have her G+ and sync.

If you off realm Relm how are you going to deal with the 70% full break at the start of phase 3 if you don't have Mog Awakening 2? Remember Dreambreaker bosses get insanely bulky with their savage modes and are near impossible to break if you don't overwrite the full break. Taking two off realm characters will leave you at a huge disadvantage.

And like Kaxon said Relm is good in general for this fight with just her lensable stuff, and she got support *4 recently so she can wrath as well.

I got all dupes and I'm really irritated about that. Seph USB2, Rydia E water and Rinoa ice sync. I had like a 50% chance of getting a new sync too.

I didn't know Yuna's Awakening 2 was a full break counter... But she doesn't seem to be that good of an off realm character otherwise. No bard, dancer, critfix, stoneskin, Astra, support 4*+, her HP stock super isn't instant and she only finally got a proshellga glint+ like two weeks ago in Japan. She'll also lack as a healer because most of her medicas are moderate and she won't get mind synergy or Historia crystal bonuses.

I guess she's usable as a poverty option or if your DPS is good enough that you can skip most of the worst stuff, but I wouldn't use her over Relm in the 6 dreambreaker/Bahamut if you have Relm's sync and glint+.

It could have gone a lot worse too, remember how crowded FF6 is, you could have gotten Umaro or Cyan fossils!

The MVP letter says that Dream selects are coming February 9th! Lot of new awakenings like Squall/Lightning2 and other fest stuff we've been waiting on! Sync selects should be standard now as well!

I finally beat my first Wodin!



Sucks to give up on Prishe but Edge kicks her ass with his HA and glint+. Also some derp moments- I made a King Behemoth with crit damage up inheritance and swapped him in over Madeen with mind/heal boon, Prompto had 100 Magia in mind and HP since I haven't used him much since Leviathan so I swapped that for 100 in attack and lighting damage. Lighting had 100 magia in holy damage so I reset for lighting damage.

Also got the second ticket from the book and I got FF1 Thief's awakening. It's nice I guess but I prefer to go mage in FF1. It's a poison boosting hat so I guess it could be useful someday?

Congrats!

I did one pull on the event banner and got Thief's other awakening (1/11). I wish I had his other one now, I'm going to have to throw my upcoming tickets at FF1 for a while since there are so few options to pull for 1 in the next six months.

Also I beat Odin with my water magic team. I still haven't beaten Ifrit with my water magic team... I probably could do it but that fight was so annoying I'm just going to put it off until I get more power creep.

Seems like the FF1 dreambreaker is on the easier side and can be done with just two awakenings. 'Course the problem being it's FF1 a rare and mediocre realm outside of Meia. I'll attempt it when I have enough lvl2 anima lens to get Meia's dualcast LMR.

I was thinking water magic weak Odin for my first mage clear but the lack of magic imperil and that enwater lacking berserk seems scary.

Maybe I'll think it over if I can get new Strago goodies next fest when his HA comes out.

Berserk is annoying. You can obviously use Tyro's USB1 to dodge it but Tyro doesn't add much to a mage team so I tried something different and used Selphie as my healer. Her USB2 has astra and reraise so it solves two problems (turn 13 berserk and turn 15 death) at the same time.

I've been doing login bonuses here and there, but haven't really played in a few months at the least. Just tossed my 50 mythril at the first FF VI banner. Got Kefka glint+ and Celes dyad.

So as someone who hasn't had a dyad before, how do you best use it? I have Celes' AASB as well as her ice chain as well.

I would like to start taking out 6* magicites, as I haven't done any yet (even though I assume I have the tools for most).

Dyads are kinda a glint+ with a damage capbreak mixed with a AOSB. You'll want to use them before you use an Awakening/sync (preferably awakenings with HA because of rank boost damage) but they can also be used with DPS USbs if just need extra cap break time as well.

It's probably gonna be hard for a character like Celes to utilize it though because her damage stats kinda suck.

Which 6* magicite are you going to start with?
