Sigh. Sometimes this game is so frustrating. Zero syncs, and the Ysayle stuff is useless if I don't have her sync or awakening. Got my first TA and I do have his magic awakening, so maybe that makes OK worth using.

I finally beat this bastard! Even with Emperor's new toys this was ROUGH. I couldn't DPS past the silence with just 1 cap break on Emperor and Maria so I stalled in phase one and combined' Maria's sync and awakening to do 29999 kerplodes and tore through the second phase. If it wasn't for that fucking silence this would be an easy sub30 but oh well. Sub40 is good enough for now.



Gotta rest my brain, I'll take on Wind Magic Wodin tomorrow.

Kinda want Emperor Sync just cause my Emperor is a powerhouse (have every other relic for him before this banner aside from his chain + full dive) but I will have to weigh whether I really want to draw on it since I can't get the sync select. Think I'm gonna leave all my draws for B3

Emperor's sync is worth pulling for, it takes him from mediocre to Bahamut/Labyrinth viable. His command 2 is an overstrike, and he gets an overstrike chase to boot which helps him a lot since he was always struggling to break cap in the 6* magicite and up meta.

His new USB is really good too.

Doesn't seem like it returns in the next FF2 event.

Wind Magic Wodin down! That was a clutch kill, Terra used her limit break overstrike on the magic pixel left on the chain and that got me the win! It's sad to see how far Emperor's damage drops when the sync runs out though. Also maybe I should have beaten this Wodin first to get the earth magic gauntlet for the FF2 dreambreaker. Oh wait I had to switch magia on Emperor from earth to wind so in two weeks I'll try again.



That just leaves Fire Magic and Water Magic Wodins left. With Strago's new Awakening and Glint+ Water Magic seems possible with Edge sync/Awakening, but water magic imperil is so rare. Either I have to bring Rikku or I have to use Rydia BSB, Hmph. Wish Gogo's Hero Ability was out now.

Water Magic weak Wodin down! I didn't think I was gonna do it without Rydia's awakening but she just spent all her meter using the imperil BSB with ace striker RM anyway. Strago's Awakening 2 is amazing! That with his glint+ lets him juggle chain and Awakening! He makes a good DPS with the stackable enwaters and HA too!



Don't feel so bad about missing OK Dyad and Strago sync now! (though I still wish I got the dyad for Dreambreaker)

Just fire magic Wodin left, ugh but fire imperil is such a pain relying on Vincent's burnt offering. Probably should wait until I have enough mythril for that 100 Mythril Awakening select in hopes of getting Vivi's Awakening.

Finally beat the FF14 dreambreaker!



I must be missing something where people are saying this is one of the easiest dreambreakers because I had a really hard time with this jerk even with 2 syncs (don't really count Y'shtola's sync since she sucks) and an awakening. Especially when gets all bulky in phase 3 with that stupid wall, augh! Maybe if I had better dualcast luck or get Ysayle/Papalymo's awakening I can sub30 this.

Also I can't seem to beat Fire Magic weak Wodin. I'm trying all sorts of teams but I always run outta steam at the last phase. Tired a similar strategy with water magic weak where I had Krile with ace striker with her imperil BSB but Vincent is really holding me back compared to Strago, he struggles to break cap even with his HA. Tried Balthier but his chain makes Edge go physical, I tried using OK with his awakening so Edge can go magic again but OK is very weak even if I stack his USB3 with his awakening and they can't do enough damage to kill Wodin before he instant kills me at the 30% phase. Tried Terra/OK/Balthier that didn't do enough damage to kill Wodin either. Tried other characters with syncs like Krile/Vivi/Ace but they don't have awakenings so when their sync runs out they run out of hones at the later half of the fight. Ugh I wish Rubicante has his RB and HA now since I have his Awakening and usb but he's too weak without it.

I haven't beaten any new Dreambreakers or Odins with my crappy banner 2 pulls, but I did beat Gilgamesh I, II, and IV, which is all the ones I hadn't done. I have 5 more fest pulls left, which if I get anything good on banner 3 I may spend what's left on banner 2.

I messed around with my new Paine Sync when I did the missions for 5 D450+ kills.

I know those old torments have been powercrept to hell and back, but Paine Sync was so amazing there. The additional cap break on cmd1 is so ridiculous: 30k-40k per hit. Hell, if you get a double cast cmd 1, you're looking at a potential damage cap of 50k, which I did occasionally reach on Yunalesca. All of this without a damage+ RM, as I gave her Mako Might.

I know I won't see those numbers on Sin when I attempt him (I just need a quiet evening), but it shows the potential.

Yeah those extra cap break syncs are nuts, you should see what people are doing with Hope's sync in dreambreaker/Wodin/Bahamut. One more day till that banner opens!

I also got a Mog ball with today's ticket finally! ...it was a dupe Terra Limit Break, but that's been helpful so a rank up is nice.

Also I finally beat Fire Magic Wodin!!!!! 10/10 current Wodins down!



Man if you wanna talk clutch I was one turn away from the instant kill and he only had 0.01%, Edge was out of Ninjitsu and sitch in time didn't kill him, Terra's ATB probably wasn't going to beat the instant kill so it was up to Duece who had meltdown to build meter and SHE got the last 0.01% finally giving me the kill!

Deuce is truly the unsung hero (no pun intended.)

Edward's good for speedruns but not for longer fights unless you hone his Awakening so it has two uses.

He also gets a general quickcast HA next FF4 event.

Got DB Sin down to 4.4% when the second Giga Graviton wiped me. Since my Yuna kinda sucks these days, she warmed the bench and I brought Elarra as my off-realm. If she had a better renewable source of Last Stand than her fucking BSB, I would have gotten the win.

Frustrating to fall so short of the win, but this seems like it's close enough where a win is possible. Fucking Wakka missed Tidus in phase 3 when he was supposed to overwrite the 70% DB Full Break with the weaker 30% Full Break.

Holy shit, I just got Cait Sith Glint+ from my anniversary ticket. I was gonna pick that one with my stamps. Now I'll actually have to think of another Glint to pick up.

This game really wants me to use Jihl. I've got a basically complete Jihl off free draws after getting her awakening today

So this aged like milk, lol. I finally got the bastard and friggin Paine was still hitting consistent 39,999 against Sin in Phase 3 at rage 0. We're talking 539,999 here, so not just crits. Sadly no w-cast cmd 1, so I only got the 39,999 cap.



I hear DB Bahamut isn't much harder, so I might be able to beat that on too.

Paine sync must be great for Bahamut because of the extra cap breaks so she open his apex savage. That's why Hope sync is hyped up.

I finally got a new Awakening off a fest ticket but it was Basch, so it might as well be nothing. Hoping I get something good on Banner 3 tonight though (like the Hope sync!)

Finally a good item there too. Quantity is low but at least the quality was high. I have one pull left this fest, I'm not sure where it should go. B2 the main items that would still help me are Emperor's Sync, Strago Sync/Awakening, and Ysayle Sync. The biggest draw is really Emperor, although Ysayle and Strago are both good since I have other stuff for them. B3 Ashe would help with DB and Odin, Hope would be my holy magic chainer, and Zack would help for both Odin and DB. On B4 I mostly just need the Arc and Luneth stuff for the DB... I like Beatrix and already have her Sync/AASB and I've already beaten that DB.

So now that I actually have some dyads, what's the best way to use them? Do you overlap them with your Sync or Awakening to maximize the damage on the finisher? Or do you use it separately to have more time under cap break? Since Cloud's USB1 is still a better cap break, do you just use it to get started quicker, or are you still trying to maximize the finisher?

It's better to use dyads with awakenings than syncs since rank boosts helps you get reach higher damage than sync abilities. I have Lightning's dyad, so say against Wodin I use her sync first and when the sync is about to end or after the 80% diffusion I use the dyad to refresh the lightning infusion then go Awakening and she does a ton of damage to Wodin and finishes him off pretty quickly.

Man I really want to do another pull on banner 3 but I'm just missing the dyads and Hope sync. Is Queen worth using when I already have Edge sync/Awakening? I prefer to go mage in T-0 too so I doubt she'll see use there either. If I do invest in Queen it will be to cover for Edge when his magia is focused into magic. She also gets an extra cap break on her sync c2 so that's worth considering.

Tidus Dyad and Agrias Sync are both nice. Not sure about Zack. Queen CSB kinda sucks when I have Prompto's CSB.

Anyone beat the Transcendent Chaos yet? I was trying to with a lightning team of Lightning, Prompto, Queen, Orran and Aerith but he always seems to outlast me, best I got was 7% HP left. Ugh but this fight takes so long even with a dyad/Queen Sync and he hits so hard.

I also tried Cloud and Sephiroth but with no Cloud Awakening I can't do it, and Sephiroth doesn't really have 2 cap break physical partners.

About damn time, if it's real. (Six months from now, that is).

I decided to spend my last pull of fest on b3... 1/11 Zack sync! That was one I was pulling for so that's nice.

Now I just need to figure out all my selection picks.

Gift set: Fighter, Locke, Tifa, and Ayame are the ones where the awakening isn't a dupe. Pretty sure this is Ayame because I have her sync and she'll help for both DB and Odin teams.

Coin awakening: Lots of options, lots of dupes. I think I'm going with Balthier since he's my best fire chainer and it might also help with DB.

Coin USB: These are all junk, Rosa 1 and Penelo 2 are the only non-dupes.

Stamp USB: I think it comes down to Aria 2 vs Lenna 4 unless I'm overlooking something great. It's kinda crazy to consider Lenna when I already have her sync, 2nd awakening, and all 3 USBs, but it would still be an upgrade. For Aria I only have her USB1 so that probably makes more sense.

Stamp G+: No idea really... maybe Orran?

Stamp Sync: It's either Cloud or Bartz as the only non-dupes. I like Cloud more, but Bartz would help with the V Dreambreaker.

Looks like the new bio stuff is real. Also this makes Thancred's new stuff in the next FF14 event much more appealing since he's a earth/wind/bio version of Edge now (he also can be used as a mage too since he got a clone of Edge's HA) Also it's prety weird that Ultros is a 6* magicite and Typhon is a 5*. I kinda figured if that had to be a bio magicite they would use Cuchulainn from FF12 since he has a multiplayer stamp.

Also make sure to change your RW to water/lightning chains. You can make use of those Queen chains you guys got.

Phoenix was my main daily magicite for the 6* magicite era, it's wise to stock up plenty in advance.

Good news is that boss you have to farm is piss easy that my Belias team can kill it before it even attacks if I can get a water chain RW, but a general magic boost can still kill it pretty quick.

Bad news is how much you have to farm this fool! And then go to Kite's potato server to get the stuff!

I got Dr. Mog's AOSB maxed so that should be nice for the core torment/dreambreaker.

I'm also back to 50 mythril so I can get the last stamp for an awakening, banner 3 is tempting despite all the dupes... but I should save it for banner 4 in hopes I get something nice for Arc/Luneth.

Got 2 more Dreambreakers mastered and even sub-30'd: XIII and Tactics. Both were actually rather easy after the nightmare that was Sin, though teams are obviously stacked.

Lightning - BUSB, Sync, LBO - HA, Running Start
Vanille - USB3 (? Regenga+Fullbreak), Glint - Holyja, Protectga

Snow opens with USB2 then casts his AASB2 when it's ready.
Lightning and Noel build up enough gauge to launch both SBs back to back around the 15 second mark, then they unleash hell. No need to prepare for the phase 2 sleep, the team is so fast, they end phase 2 before Raines gets a chance to cast it.

In my first attempts, I had Protectga and Shellga on Ovelia and Agrias, but I realized they weren't necessary, and they were slowing down SB generation a bit too much. Marche used Saint Cross on turn 2 to remove blind.
I needed Tyro's Astra for the phase 2 sleep, which meant I needed to end phase 1 before the turn 10 sap. The two ICs from the USB1 allowed me to easily cast the OSBs at the phase transitions, though that meant keeping Tyro idle during the entire phase 2.
Phase 3 was pure dps. Agrias cast AASB to add an additional cap break, Tyro smacked Agrias with his book to remove the confuse. Marche cast his AOSB, but I'm sure it wasn't actually needed.
