That as pretty much my entire month of free pulls (minus my 7th Setzer). But then it turned around and I got DV on my first 10+1, so it'll be worth it once things swing the other way!

Wow, those story-exclusive trials were...insanely easy. I had to do Laswell's twice because I missed the self-buff the boss slapped on himself and missed the No KO's mission, but that 15% ATK accessory was worth the 15 stamina.

Pretty nice loadout of equipment though. Not top-tier, but all well worth the effort, ar least for me. Hopefully I didn't frustrate too many friends by gimping my Tidus for an hour or two. And now I don't have to worry about it ever again.

I'm still very tempted to keep trying to build a Mag-based Zargabaath just for grins. I know it's pointless, but it still amuses me that over the last few weeks we've gotten a few pieces of gear that actually help him out. I have no idea why they designed him that way, other than they were thinking he could use Word of Law as a chain capper, but it's just hilarious to me. Especially imagining him using the new magic microphone to blast magical judge verdicts at the enemies.

I kinda gave up on bothering with arena. I made a silly gimmicky Vanille team that could in theory finish in top 3000, but the grind is too much to bother and the team would often drag out fights to 5+ rounds. Easier to just do my 5 battles every day by stomping a low ranked guy with a team that spams 5 AOE attacks, hitting repeat till one of us loses, and getting the easy 40 daily lapis + an easy 30-90k finish as a result. Too much stupid crap like AOE Stops and AOE MP Drains that for some reason aren't considering worth banning when an attack that does Death to one guy at like 30% for whatever reason is.

I do 5 fights a day for the 40 Lapis. It's enough to keep me in the top 90k easily for the Moogle each month too.

Most my fights don't go past two rounds, and I haven't had a loss in about 6 weeks.

My Arena team is:
Ashe - Has Ribbon, but not really much else. Has 400 Magic. Mainly used to Heal Status or HP.

Warrior of Light - Immune to Paralyze, Stone, and Sleep. Has Razzmatazz, Second Knife, Black Belt, and I pretty much just spam Bladeblitz with him. He covers and counters a lot and will generally get at least one petrification on counter attacks alone.

Amelia - Pretty basic. Has about 500 Attack, just spam Ricochet.

Noctis - Mostly wears evasion gear with Defender and Bowie Knife. Spam Blizzard/Fire Flask.

Flex Unit - Currently and usually Fryevia unless Ice is banned. Was thinking of putting Seven or Nine in as a permanent spot but need another Dual Wield so I don't have to constantly shuffle gear or poach it from Land/Fry.


I've seen some of the worst round 1s where I've had much of the team got shut down, either by Siphon Delta or Status Ailments, but I've still managed to pull a recovery out because Warrior of Light's ability to counter attack or Ashe's AoE Status Cure and Fryevia's massive MP pool allowing her to have 70+ MP still after an osmose attack have saved me.

Realistically, my biggest and only real challenge would be a 5 man Stop on my party. It boggles me that Ribbon doesn't protect against Stop, but whatevs. It hasn't happened yet, and I'm sure it's entirely possible it will eventually, but as of right now, I've won every fight usually by second round.

meh, I don't play all day, and I usually need at least 3 orbs to get 5 Lapis from the Colosseum anyways. Sometimes I just don't feel like putting in more than is required of me. Even when Raids come around, I'm lucky if I do more than 10 a day due to how few times I log in per day. I'm really bad with energy too, and have been sitting at capacity more often than not.

Eh it's not really that easy.

It's actually a trap to look at mobile games in pure time invested. Like, every time you open the game it has overhead and distinct game openings should be minimized if you value your sanity. If you could store up more arena bouts than 5 it'd be less of a commitment since yeah just mash repeat for a few minutes and you're done. 5 minutes 4 times a day is way more disruptive than like 15 minutes once a day would be though.

That and in terms of effort to rewards, you need like 3x as many fights to break into top 30k so why bother. Just get that lapis.

I'll probably do what I normally do. Just use friends and then say screw it to buying anything outside of Rare Tickets, Star Quartz, and non-exclusive important equipment. I don't have the money for Cactuars or Ability Awakenings anyways.

90% of my energy for the last 3 days has been going to Vortex of Experience, leveling FP units and selling them, just so I can keep up with Expedition costs. I haven't been over 400k gil in almost 2 weeks now.
