This feels like a planned contraction/correction. I wouldn't panic sell anything as a result of the last couple of days.

Personally, from someone who had something similar happen in a different industry, this feels just like when we were told that certain rules that weren't being enforced were going to be enforced again onward from a certain date. Everything contracts in the short term as a result.

So fun history fact. The romans would regularly use debt abolition when they wound up in debt spirals that couldn't be stopped. Naturally, the aristocracy didn't like that, as it was their money owed that was getting nullified.

So caesar takes an absolutely massive loan from the aristocracy in Italy under the pretense of ending their civil war, then goes to speak the people about debt abolition, explaining; "Hey, I think it's a great idea, but I would benefit more than anyone because I have the largest amount of debt"(true following the loan he took out ).

People saw the wealthiest citizen had the most to gain and soured on the idea, even though debt abolition would have definitely been to the benefit of the majority of the people involved.

Basically, that report is the same shit, and 2000+ years later we are still falling for the same exact tactics. Eyyyyyyy.

I went to the abstract art museum when on vacation in Ireland to dispel my notion that abstract art was just "Squiggly lines and Penises."

I wound up with a slightly more nuanced view on abstract art...but there was also a lot of Squiggly lines and Penises.

I guess it's just not for everyone. I appreciate abstract music and writing, art just doesn't do it for me I guess.

Reminder, for weed stocks, your biggest jumps will come from speculation of rescheduling, actual rescheduling, and the lead up to federal legalization.

You almost certainly do NOT want to be holding about 1-2 months AFTER legalization when the reality of the situation sets in and things start to correct. In this particular instance, buy the optimism, sell the reality.

Canada learned this first hand with their legalization rollout and our situation is remarkably similar.

WSB turning the weed stocks into a meme is scary since unlike GME there is no unified plan. Its probably a ride the wave secure my profits and cash out. There isn't any one over there saying hold the line.

So if I had to guess these stocks went from stable growth to now being extremely volatile. Could rise 10% or dip 10% at any time right now.

So, based on Canada's rollout of legalization, this is how I forsee things progressing(There's a reason a ton of Canadian weed stocks were under a dollar a share )

Basically, the sentiment of legalization is fueling a lot of the gains you're seeing right now. A lot of projections as to how many potential customers and revenue can be earned following legalization fueling this surge.

When legalization happens in earnest, things typically take a turn a couple of month afterwards. Canada underestimated both the quality and price of the black market, resulting in a massive oversupply of product. Weed is a commodity with a shelf life, meaning oversupply is both a quantity and quality issue, resulting in a sort of negative cycle where older product results in less customers, which results in older product.

Personally, for American weed stocks, the best time to sell in my opinion would be in the 1-2 months immediately following legalization but before the reality of the logistical nightmare starts to set it. Then buy again after that dip.

This is all speculation, I am not a financial advisor, etc.

Looking left while driving is actual agony right now. Naproxen and Ibuprofen do very little to numb it too.

Worst part is I know it's my fault. I had my head turned left to watch movies(Perfect blue is a wack movie. Good though.) for over 2 hours on sunday, then only got like 3 hours of sleep that night.

That's not what I'm suggesting. What asking is why people take it personally if there is a single dissenting opinion among the majority. I'm not saying that you should run from the opposing opinions, but why is it so difficult to accept that a story is more or less nuanced depending on the background of the individual playing it? Some themes aren't going to be as personal for people as they were for you or I. I accept that. My favorite game has a super small dedicated fanbase and a shoddy translation. The average review score is something like a 5.7. It doesn't keep me up at night; because the themes and morals of the story resonate personally with me and the music and setting captivates me.

I certainly don't think less of people who don't enjoy it and I don't think that dissenting makes them some kind of subhuman being.

I don't know, it just feels nutso to take something as reasonable as a dissenting opinion regarding something as divisive as TLOU2 and use it as some sort of condemnation of their character.

I like Punk, but Pop punk is "Too poppy" for me a lot of the time. Captain We're Sinking and The Menzingers are my happy middle ground, where they're sad and drunk, but it doesn't fall into the musical habits of emo.

Also, for people looking for a way to capitalize on riding the wave of weed stocks without a ton of capital, one more shout-out to Aleafia.

They've paid off most of the debt from their acquisition of Emblem corp. And Emblem was trading at close to 1.70 prior to it's dissolution. No matter how I look at it, Aleafia for under 70 cents a share right now feels like a steal.

Among the meme stocks I think it actually has some solid long-term potential

BB and Nokia both have solid yearlong potential and decent long-term prospects following that.

AMC is so muddled with people trying to "outsmart" the other side that I would consider it a 2+ yearlong investment at this point, although It wouldn't shock me if it rebounds following everyone getting cold feet.

Aleafia has pretty good prospects right now. Got in 1500 shares at 38 cents per, they just fired a board member(Oh wait, it's a BoD, "Mutually parted ways") and hired two new directors both with backgrounds in finance.

I'm taking it as a signal that they're looking to maximize the value of the stock and so far, the market seems to agree.

None of these are necessarily "better" but similarly ranked spinoffs, specifically if you're looking for genre-swaps. People liked Metal Gear Solid Revengeance a lot. Pokemon Conquest is another one that didn't receive critical acclaim but is highly regarded by those who played it.

There's a couple of others but I'm too braindead to think of them right now.

Edit: Honorable mention to Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland. Never got released in America but absolutely worth playing.

Man, GBA soundtracks are the musical equivalent of Taco Bell. They take 7-8 ingredients which I would not even consider eating by themselves and somehow form an entire menu of palatable products. Shit is nuts.
