A lot of these people aren't saying/thinking to strip away existing regulations, but rather to properly fund and enforce the existing regulations that exist to help people.

What's the point of rewriting the tax code if we aren't willing/able to enforce the current tax code for every citizen. People get jaded by non-functional regulatory bodies. The PPP-loan shit? Should have never happened. Regulatory bodies exist to prevent it from having happened. But without consistent enforcement it's just there is to make people "feel" like they're protected from corruption

I don't think there's anything unreasonable about asking for enforcement/funding of current regulations/programs before you can have the expectations that new regulations and funding will be met with success.

She is just genuinely awful. Especially when she is doing media-tie-in novels, where she becomes obsessed with few ideas and just goes ham on them, regardless if it makes sense within the greater context of the universe she is writing in.

Like I know nothing about her Halo novels but I'm going to make a few guesses. First, they are among the most widely disliked novels of the series. Second, they play very loose with the lore. Third, the leadership is treated like one-note idiots and/or monsters. And finally there is like no nuance whatsoever. Everything is black and white.

Played it a couple of months back and was shocked at how much fun I was having with it. It's just different enough from something like Stardew valley to keep my interest.

I don't know how they'd do it, but Emmet sure does have some solid motivation for being a villain in Legends Unova or whatever the next gen 5 based game happens to be.

Like, what the base catch rate is, what the multiplier for back strikes is, what the difference is from ball to ball, if being lower level than the target drops the chance like Sw/Sh? Literally any knowledge at all?

Because it's weird that a game based around this mechanic has so little information about how the mechanic actually works this generation.

Been playing the game since release. Just got to the coastal area

It reminds me of the original Borderlands. The concept is solid. There's a lot of fun in the variation between encounters of the same pokemon and the feeling of exploration definitely exists.

That said, it also reminds me of the original Borderlands in the singular color palette being fairly broadly applied everywhere, the feeling of general vastness and emptiness on the overworld and the feeling that this game is a precursor for the actual game that's gonna come out in a couple of years.

There's been times where I've thought it's a 7/10. There's times where I thought it was a 9/10.

I think if I'm being honest, it's an 8/10 that I would absolutely play a second time even if I knew what I know now. The game is hella flawed, but even putting all that aside, it's a fun tech demo for what they might be capable of in the near future. Its worth 60 dollars so far.

I remember being on /a/ for the weekly scans during numbers 9-12 and how incredibly hype it was on a week to week basis. So yeah, I wouldn't lie about this specifically.

All I need is Mother 3 anniversary announced this year and 2022 gets a place on the podium.

N64 version is superior to the PS1 version of the game in almost every way.....but then they cut the best song from the game and somehow fuck up what should be a definitively better version.
