The Genie, a fictional magical being derived from Arab culture, is played by a black man in the live action movie and also appears as blue. So why does a fictional magical being in the case of Little Mermaid need to be white?

You wouldn't change Jasmin or Mulan to a white chick, so why does Ariel need to be changed to a black chick?

The first two characters are based on real cultures (Mulan is based on a potentially real person). Ariel is literally a mythical creature. It's like genie being blue or whatever, just a total non-issue. There was also a Japanese version of Little Mermaid called Ponyo, and a Chinese live action one called The Mermaid. I just don't think Ariel is a good example for this when that story has been adapted to many cultures already.

It has some of the most refined and overall best action gameplay. Platinum in general makes excellent action games, but Bayonetta is their premier franchise that most of their other games take a lot of cues from (Nier Automata can be thought of as having a dumbed down version of their Bayonetta gameplay for example, whereas Metal Gear Rising is more like a reworked version of Bayonetta with some different mechanics added).

I honestly put almost nothing into it until everything else was soft capped. Just isn't very useful in Bloodborne, especially since every level up, regardless of where points go, your defense increases.

In the Korean War the UN forces led by the US pushed north to where China said they would intervene and then China beat them back to basically where they started. Some at the time wanted to nuke China, but after Korea there was never any realistic chance of winning a war against China. Not long after they had nuclear weapons of their own.

I remember the first time I started playing the Ryuu ga Gotoku Kenzan and Ishin games it was rough for me too. Dark Souls 3 and Bloodborne have a few tricky kanji words in them where the reading is ambiguous so I had to look them up online (sometimes different people give different readings, as is the nature of words that are made up for a game). (I have to admit I haven't played Sekiro yet, so I don't want to watch that video.)

And yet, aside from Obi-Wan's goofy little spin attack, that's the most sensible lightsaber fighting we've had. The two of them are making every move to avoid being touched by the other. Their swordplay is careful and deliberate. No wild swings, no fancy posing. They actually keep their weapons trained on one another. It could have been better, sure, but it makes sense considering the weapon.

They had kendo instructors do choreography for the duels back then.

For me it's more that I played Demon Souls not knowing anything about soft caps or useless stats way back when it came out and then when people discovered them I was annoyed I had to basically start over to make a good build for PvP. By the time Dark Souls came out everyone was ready to investigate soft caps and what stats were good or not so it was less of an issue. Maybe that is fun for some people to not know what stats do or how they work, but I think most find that frustrating.

What's this about soft caps? Is it like the attribute gets nerfed above that point? Why are there two soft caps for say, strength?

Soft caps means the returns get bad. Hard cap means no return (as in putting points in it does nothing). In general going past a soft cap is a bad idea and will gimp your character. There are two for strength because it goes from good to okay to bad.

Women have higher standards than men as in species where one sex has higher investment than the other they are more selective about mates. Humans aren't special, they're still animals. When a woman is attracted to a potential mate they have a very strong sex drive, it just isn't as indiscriminate as men's. People try to rationalize attraction talking about things like the pill negating the risk of pregnancy, etc. But attraction isn't rational, it's rooted in biology.

Vitality: soft caps at 30 and 50. Massive diminishing returns after 50.
Attunement: 1 slot every 2 points until 16, after which it's 1 slot every 3 or more. Diminishing returns until a hard cap at 50 Attunement (10 slots)
Endurance: Hard cap on Stamina gains at 40, equip load increases evenly up to max (99 END)
Strength: Soft caps at 20 and 40. Note that 2-handing grants the benefits of 50% your strength rating, meaning 27 STR hits the softcap when 2-handing a weapon.
Dexterity: Soft caps at 20 and 40 for damage scaling. Also provides a slight speed up of casting times for offensive spells, from 30 to 45 Dexterity.
Resistance: Doesn't provide enough benefit to level, but it's worth noting it's bonuses to defenses soft cap at 15 and 30.
Intelligence: Soft caps at 40 for INT-scaling weapons, with further caps at 45 and 50 for catalysts.
Faith: Soft caps at 50.

I went to Tokyo in 2008 and I hated Akihabara. It seemed so run down and ghetto and honestly it didn't feel like a safe neighborhood at all compared to other places in Tokyo. It was kind of a disappointment since it looked so cool in the pictures but the second I walked out of the train station I was like "uh oh"

I first went to Akihabara in 2008 actually. I go there once every other month or so now. At no point then or now has it ever felt rundown and certainly not dangerous. Japan is one of the safest countries in the world (safest for a country of similar or larger size). The dangerous places in Tokyo for foreigners would be Roppongi where a lot of Yakuza run bars that might have a drugged drink causing you to wake up the next day with no money (this is not unusual for that area). Anyway Akihabara absolutely is not rundown or unsafe, you must have been somewhere else or don't go to cities much.
