There isn't some deeper meaning. A media franchise is not called a series usually. Should be cheaper and most of the tech stuff isn't in Seattle proper. I am breaking my no posting on CE rule just to tell you I did exactly this. I used to live in the U-District but got priced out and moved to Redmond. A lot of people move out of Seattle and commute in because public transit is free (actually part of your student fees at UW) or discounted at a lot of universities here. Don't live in a van please. People in vans here are often victims of crime. It is not safe at all.
