By medieval I mean someone that has GRUFFY HEAVY BREATHING ACCENT, so an example would be GoT and the recently broadcasted Witcher show on Netflix.

Would enjoy the show much more if I didn't have to read the darn subtitles, if they speak normally or modern english I probably wouldn't even have to turn it on.

Those kinds of shows don't have the same flair and feeling to them if the dialogue is coming from some mid-west American accent or something like that.

It doesnt mean gruff heavy accent, and they do not speak medieval english

True Middle English would be effectively another language. This is just an anachronistic version of modern English.

This guy gets it.

I probably should have made it clearer that it's the heavy arse gruffy accent that I have trouble understanding and those genres happened to have tons of it. So I Immediately correlate it with Medieval english which really isn't what I meant.
