By medieval I mean someone that has GRUFFY HEAVY BREATHING ACCENT, so an example would be GoT and the recently broadcasted Witcher show on Netflix.

Those kinds of shows don't have the same flair and feeling to them if the dialogue is coming from some mid-west American accent or something like that.

I probably should have made it clearer that it's the heavy arse gruffy accent that I have trouble understanding and those genres happened to have tons of it.
