First off I am 60.
In high school or before My first per hour job, I made like 1.35 an hour.

In high school I had 3000 dollars in the bank. I told my daughter last night. she
makes like 35, Dollars an hour as a nurse, and is LIVING AT him, and we bought her car
and pay the car insurance, I think she pays no rent.

I told her she should have 30,000 in the bank, if I can do 3000 at 1.35, she
can do 30,000 at $35.

well she has like NOTHING.

you guys with out houses, never seem to take into account all the money you have to PUT into a house in 20 years. a new roof, 15K, a new heater, and AC, 10K. there is a million other
expenses. a new shed in the back yard, 5K.

I can kind of agree with you there lol, this is honestly what makes me rank Attack of the Clones as my least favorite Star Wars movie (of the main Skywalker Saga, at least). Theres a lot to like in it, but the Anakin / Padm stuff was so poorly handled I just cant lol.

I gotta play it again. I remember enjoying it well enough, but it was released during one of the worst times in my life, so I feel like that kind of tainted the game for me.

Depressed? No. Stressed? Yes. Couldnt give two shits about what other people make, how they live, etc.

Its weird. Im living comfortably, I have steady income. Ive got money in the bank / IRA / 401k, but I also realize Im not making enough. At the rate Im going, Ill never be able to afford a house. I dont mind renting, but I lucked into a good situation but if that were to change, Im fucked. If I have a major medical thing come up Im fucked.

I have no one to blame but myself, really. But I also didnt really have guidance. Back in high school, I knew that I didnt want to go to college right away because my family couldnt afford it (and I wasnt gonna play the loan game) but there was also literally nothing I wanted to go to college for. So my dumbass just took a job at a local grocery store. The pay was decent and the work was steady of course. Had great benefits, but it also wore me out mentally and physically. I wish I had realized I couldve at least done a few community college classes here and there to keep the costs reasonable while still getting an education.

The problem is, I still have no idea what to do with myself now at 35. From the two jobs Ive had in my life, I know what I dont want, but thats not enough. So Im stuck between a rock and a hard place.
