And that's the thing about racism or stereotypes. It is the fear or the prejudice of a small negativity that leads to over correcting. That's extremely harmful. Ok, you have omega level threat, duh, you want to make sure nothing bad happens.... but if your only filter is "All mutant" that is bad.

Just as how you can say there's a lot black gang and you set the police filter to " All black" you are over correcting and causing harm.

The problem that Omega is so over the top dangerous that it's incomparable to anything else. It's like if a group of 30 million people had a one in a million chance to just randomly explode into a nuclear blast at any minute. There could be lessons of bigotry and hatred to be found in such a story, but it's just so over the top that it's hard to take seriously.

If there's an equal chance between someone being born with stretchy nipples and being born with the ability to create nuclear explosions with the snap of a finger, it's kind of hard not to be afraid in a universe that chaotic. That's not even counting the Omega ones that can shatter reality in some cases. Marvel and DC just have a problem where the issues in-universe aren't always believable due to poor writing or the ever-increasing scale of things.

The problem with Mutants is you can make a legit "us vs them" argument with how powerful some of them are. It would work better if they were limited to "street level" that could eventually be taken down by enough humans. The politics around them and their rights is on point, but the power imbalance makes it hard to take seriously.

I don't know why people keep saying that. They work on way too wide of a variety of games to make any conclusion. From their CEO basically admitting they have no intrinsic value and their employees having embarrassing meltdowns, I don't think they're a company that provides an actual valuable service, but there's no way to actually quantify the effect they've had on games.

I think people are definitely losing the plot on the whole making things worse argument. We have no quantifiable way of knowing what exactly they bring to a game, but I would not consider them good faith actors. Theres a fine line between offering a service that people want to use and making yourself a service that people need to use, and Im pretty sure they are the latter. Thats not to say games being more diverse is bad, but monetizing it is tricky balance that they dont seem to have captured.

Yeah, that's definitely the Sarkeesian model. So I'd say calling them bullshit is likely warranted in that case, though the internet is doing what the internet does and turning the whole thing into an salvageable shitshow.

It seems to be the scapegoat for industry trends, fueled by one of the members saying something on social media, but not sure what. Personally, I feel a lot of those groups and positions very likely follow the Sarkeesian model of peddling snake oil in the form of social change, but I can't say I've seen anything in particular to demonize that particular company (unless anything special has come out recently.)
