The longest I think I went was like 4 days when my water was out

truth time... had that powerful atmospheric storm aimed plenty higher toward oregon this year. probably be out of power for longer than 6 days.

that's the longest i have gone without a shower back in 2007 (the boonies last part of the power restoration).

You think food prices are high now? If you were to deport every undocumented person in this country you would collapse the entire meat packing/slaughterhouse and agricultural industries in this country. The percentage of farm laborers that are undocumented is right around 50%. Slaughterhouse and meat packing aren't quite that high but around 30% or so last time I checked.

sends the price of meat and fruits/veggies to be sky high... record profits for companies.

i'm stocking up month's of meat if the worse case scenario happens.

Funny thing is that visa gift cards will usually charge you an extra $5 above the price you put into as well.

4.95$ for a certain amount or 5.95$ if it went over that amount.

this was on the card that goes from 20-200$. (may gotten then umber wrong). but it's spot on the price.

there's no dodging rising prices when wages go up = everything else goes up to compensate for it.

stopping going to my favorite fast food place taco bell after the pandemic started. back then the price of a beef burrito wasn't more than 1.30$. it's 2.50$ now for a small beef burrito.

i can still have my burrito's. just once a week if i buy the ingredients i like and cook with it (less than 5-6$ for 3 big burrito's).
(3$ for bean and rice only = 2 big burritos).
