For real though, why did they give him 2 Onix, such a weirdly out of place weak Pokemon for the Elite Four. I get not using Primeape, but still.

Have they ever annouced anything important in a February Direct? SSBU is dead now, so it won't be that.

Maybe information that BD/SP will finally be compatible with Pokemon Bank? But I think they make separate directs for Pokemon, so maybe not.

It'll probably be a bunch of indie stuff that nobody will care about. But some new Zelda or Metroid footage would be awesome. I'm not holding my breath.

Fresh cigarette smoke doesn't smell that bad at all. Stale cigarette smell in clothes or furniture absolutely reeks.

It depends on what your interests are. I greatly preferred the Wii to the PS4 (I have both). That said, the Wii wasn't a particularly great console either.

And the argument that you need to include backwards compatibility is insane. The Wii U was a bottom tier console and its sales numbers reflect that.

The entire second half of the game sucked. It peaked when you got to fight Star Wolf and then it was all downhill from there.

Assault was decent but absolutely not the best Star Fox game.

The Gamecube was criminally underrated. Aside from Melee which came out a little while after launch day, it had a pretty slow start. But after its 5 years, it had by far the best exclusives of any console in that generation, and a solid contender for best exclusives of any console ever.

It was the last Nintendo console where all of the main Nintendo IPs actually had a decent game. We haven't seen much (or anything) from Star Fox or F-Zero since. Until recently, you could say the same about Metroid, too.

Honchkrow is an interesting choice there (in a good way).

I'd need to see the video. I think the lack of a speed limit is completely absurd and just begs for things like this to happen, but the burden of that absurdity shouldn't be on someone who didn't break any explicitly stated laws. The video might give some extra context to this that may change my mind.

Plot wise, Blue, easily. As a kid, I didn't know that there was anything after the fourth Elite Four. Came as quite a surprise, especially since you beat him just like an hour earlier outside of Viridian City.

Gameplay wise, Cynthia is a massive shock given just how much tougher she is than anyone else in that game.

When I was house hunting last summer, there was a house that I otherwise liked that I ended up declining primarily because the driveway from the street to the house was over 50 feet long. Last thing I'd want is to shovel that shit early in the morning after a big dumping of snow.

There was something pretty hype about arriving into a new town in the original games. I can't explain it. But I know which one I think was the best.

For those that aren't Canadian, Terry Fox was a young man with bone cancer that started a marathon across Canada. He ran wearing his prosthetic leg, and ultimately had to stop because his cancer came back hard, and killed him. He made it halfway across the country.

The protesters have usurped a statue honouring that legacy to promote a conservative antivax narrative. And they unironically think they hold the moral high ground.

I remember when they first announced that, it made less sense than the prevailing fan theory at the time. I'm not sure why Link dying in OoT causes a major canon timeline rift but not in any other game.

Nope. There are three branches from OoT.

1. Link returns to being a child after defeating Ganon. He tells Zelda preemptively what Ganon's plan is, and Ganon is stopped and sent for execution. Majoras Mask happens. Twilight Princess happens a long, long time later.
2. After Link returns to his childhood, he doesn't exist in that timeline where he defeated Ganon. Many years pass, Wind Waker happens.
3. Link and Zelda are defeated by Ganon during OoT. Ganon gets the full Triforce, and wishes for the world to be his. Instead, he's granted the Sacred Realm, which becomes the Dark World. Many years later, A Link to the Past happens, as well as the Oracle games and Link's Awakening. The original NES games happen much later on this same timeline.

The one in Majoras Mask looked completely different though. I always wondered about that.

The first answer seems simple, but I can't think of a counter example to it, so I'll stick with that first answer.
