An easy to understand metaphor would be like having a Halloween event where the objective is to scare people. What's going to be easier to scare people, doing it in a big field where the player has freedom to go wherever they want? There's no reason to explore where is closed areas may mean closed but that doesn't mean they have to be small and actually can be well designed. Nowadays the Ubisoft design philosophy plagues most open world games. Back in the day, people stopped liking closed or linear games because games like Call of Duty campaign could be a hallway simulator. Writing a good story was never their objective. *and I've seen people simultaneously criticize forced diversity while praising good examples (last one I saw was Dion from FF who is gay). That being said AAA games have much deeper problems then forced diversity. I have heard but not confirmed it may create standards which are too high and create an easy way out of sexual frustration, creating people who will just masturbate rather then learn how to interact with the opposite sex (I guess or sex you are attracted to) because it makes them uncomfortable.
I definitely was part of this group til my early 20s and still have so much I could have learned earlier in my life and used to horny-ness as a motivator to learn to properly approach and flirt with women. Quite literally, growing a pair of balls. But it really would have benefited greatly from being a Disney+ series where they could have taken more time to flesh everything out properly and with better pacing, rather than introduce 10+ characters AND the backstory/lore behind them AND connect them to the already-existing MCU in a movie with "only" a 2.5-hour runtime.Problem is they just don't know how to write anything. IMO, Kill La Kill is one of those shows that sounds amazing in both languages. I do agree that the Japanese version is a bit better, but it still has one of the best English dubs that I've ever heard and I think you can't go wrong watching it that way eitherAlright I'll take your word for it.
