It's already a jibberish anime about upstarts, so the extra jokes really help it. An example: one of the segways between skits are random shots of a politician and then a cat. No dialogue at all. Aside from Rock, the Japanese character, none of the main cast actually speak Japanese and he's bilingual, so the characters are canonically speaking English. This is best exemplified in an arc where they go to Japan. Revy says, in Japanese, that she can't understand the Japanese radio.
