Multiple more women have come forward in the Watson case. I read through one of the extracts and it's awful stuff. If this was anything other than the NFL I'd be confident that he'd be done, but who knows with this league.

Fun fact: My teacher friends had their students join an online seminar last month related to Black history month, and one of the speakers was DeSean Jackson, except the talk was mostly about the Holocaust and what Jewish people had and still go through, which made me think that this was some kind of mandated community service thing he was forced into.

I don't mind the team in theory, but it is a bit strange to move on from Brady with no real plan. It comes across like BB treating QB as though it were any other position. If we stick with Cam (obligatory "I like Cam he just can't throw") then I don't think we're a playoff team, but we have enough quality to make it to 6-8 wins.

They somehow went 7-9 last year with a team that was worse in all aspects compared to their current one and with a tougher schedule on paper, so saying they'll get less wins in a year where there is also likely going to be an extra game played seems kinda weird.

Less talent than Gronk and Hernandez, but also less murder than them as well, so it balances out.

The Pats are a competent QB away from actually being good again. I feel like a dozen teams have been saying the same thing for a decade, though. I'm not even sure how Jimmy G can fit in at this point, but I'm still not opposed to it.

Agholor had a solid year last year, but that was with a QB that can throw. He's also nowhere close to a WR1 and that's essentially what he is now, unless Bill goes WR in the middle of the first round.

Bourne is bad, but is probably better than our entire current WR corps. That doesn't excuse him being bad, but I guess anything is an improvement there. Definite overpay on both WR signings though.

At this point if Bill doesn't go QB or WR with the first round pick it's going to be rough, and even then we'll see.

You're right it was half a dozen starter in total between both sides of the ball, with special teams guys in there as well.

By the end of the year it felt like GIlmore got leapfrogged by JC Jackson on the depth chart, so I'm not really factoring him in as a DPOTY. Even with your 24/7 doomer attitude I don't think you can make the case that the D is worse off this year than they were last year. Chung's replacement getting drafted last year doesn't automatically mean it was a one to one shift in production immediately, for example.

The defense will theoretically be improved even without adding anyone since they had half a dozen starters opt out last year, but the offense will continue to be awful unless they pick up some skill position guys outside of RB.

The possibilities are endless there with all the washed up WRs getting cut. Knowing Bill he'll sign a scrappy white Edelman replacement and call it a day.

All the talk here is will it be Cam again? or will Bill use his relationship with Meyer to get Minshew for cheap? There's also the usual Jimmy G talk but that is always "Jimmy G can run this offense but he can't stay on the field" which basically resolves itself as a possibility.

at least all of the "they should try Stidham as starter and see what he can do" has subsided.

I've also seen that they are aggressively looking to the draft. I feel like hell would freeze over before Bill trades up, but that would be a good move.

I don't live in Boston so I have no idea what the local people are saying.
