I think until RE8, the only characters to appear in more than one game who aren't from RE1 or RE2 are Hunnigan and Kirk the helicopter pilot. This series has serious problems with recycling the first two games' characters endlessly.

I only ever did a full playthrough on 3DS and then only played a little bit of the HD version

But it's been on my mind the past 2 months to go back to it ever since the original capcom leak that had info on this game in it

Unless you have a buddy to play with, the Raid modes will be hard. I have yet to plat this. But 2 was fun to plat

Didn't really like the first 2 Rev games and this being on Switch first just means it'll end up looking a bit dated when it finally hits better hardware. Be good to see Rebecca back though.

RE Engine games always end up looking petty good though.

I was convinced Monster Hunter Rise was running on a switch pro that hadn't been announced yet until they revealed it was this running on regular switch

Also I guess part of the reason there not using the revelations name is because it has a higher budget than the first 2 games had and theyre viewing it more as a code Veronica tier title

I just played the first 2 Rev games last week and enjoyed them, excited for this to release on a non-Switch console at some point.

Rev 1 > Rev 2 imo. The episodic nature of 2 killed the momentum for me, there was no cohesion with the plot between episodes. Also Claire is entirely out of character the whole game. I don't care about Rebecca though so they can't ruin her like that, fingers crossed.

Yeah I noticed this a while back, it's really weird they never reused a post-2 character until Ethan. I like the original gang just fine and I get that most of the newbies die in their intro game but come on, guys. There's more to life than Leon/Claire/Chris/Jill/Rebecca/Barry/Sherry/Wesker/Ada. Sheva was done particularly dirty, only existed to ward off racism accusations then they tossed her aside.

I mean with RE anything that is canon is mainline. Otherwise you get into a rabbit hole where you end up stripping things like 0 and CV out.
