No, it isn't.

I was originally going to say Suikoden 1, but then I thought that the final area probably didn't count as a dungeon.

Not my real answer but an unpopular opinion: I think FFVII's final dungeon is pretty underwhelming, aside from the music. It's basically just a cave.

I don't have a real answer, but I'll agree with FFXII because I remember it being really long and boring.

3) only complaint: the sidequests were mostly dull

4) I kept thinking about how much it's going to suck playing kingdom hearts 3 and NOT having this type of fluid fighting

he's not exactly wrong (BBS is debatable)

3D is not very good, but it's probably the second best spin-off and is actually plot-relevant (yeah I know they're all technically plot relevant, but this one moreso)

Leon A / Claire B available base, canon story Claire A / Leon B available as DLC

Option 3: Leon campaign, Claire DLC. Plot is rewritten so Claire is basically a 4 hour sidequest.

like I said earlier, I think Kojima is really against the idea of people talking about death stranding and being like "okay, there's him shooting people, this is a 3rd person shooter." there's still mystery about death stranding and he knows this. It's smart, really.

Kojima purposefully made a boring walking trailer because he doesn't want to limit the discussion surrounding the gameplay
