REMAKE 2 onward was pretty fucking hype but that horrid start and other issues made it rough getting there

I was actually more interested in Death Stranding before this trailer. The gameplay just didn't draw me in because he did literally nothing but walk. I would have liked to see something other than walking. Even just trying to run from these things and escaping would have been interesting.

If all that hiking and walking is like part of the gameplay it looks insanely boring, but maybe they intentionally didnt show anything so they could change the tone in the second half of the trailer. The game just looks so weird

It's not even a matter of being "too weird," it's that it was literally nothing. We've had several trailers already - this was the first with ANY gameplay in it and it was just Norman Reedus walking around a bunch of completely empty areas.

Like Kojima's work has had such a huge impact on my life but he's just not giving me anything that tells me I have a reason to care about this game.

I love walking simulators but Death Stranding didn't show enough. They've had like 3-4 cinematic trailers up to this point. They had to show gameplay now, and they did, but there wasn't really any focus there. It was walking and then sneaking. What are the things you focus on, how do you play, is there more to the gameplay,...?

I havent played any MGS game. Im terrible I know. I just wish it showed something more than walking and stealthing for gameplay because walking simulators are literally the worst

At least seeing HOW he would fight or shoot his gun would have been better. Just something. Anything unique. The only unique thing they had was him crouch walking while his little demon radar was going off. And that was hardly anything interesting or inspired, and if the segments in the game are like this and one wrong step has them all take you down and make you start over, that definitely doesn't inspire me much.

They could have at least added on to the intrigue or weirdness. Why not show anything about the machines powered by human organs? Show Mads Mikkelson's character. Give us any god damn idea what the other really interesting part of the game is about.

I know Kojima really wants to make movies but so far Death Stranding hasn't offered anything that is actually relevant to it being a video game. The fact that we're this many trailers in and don't have the slightest clue of how the game plays or what it involves is extremely worrying.

like I said earlier, I think Kojima is really against the idea of people talking about death stranding and being like "okay, there's him shooting people, this is a 3rd person shooter." there's still mystery about death stranding and he knows this. It's smart, really.

He is stranded on a planet and trying to survive with invisible enemies floating around. It'll be a horror game, and it's Norman Reedus, he will shoot things.

I really enjoyed the games they showed for the most part. E3 has been pretty great this year as far as games go even if some were shown last year too. Spider-Man is looking amazing and its making me want more superhero games. Id still really love a Green Arrow game by the Arkham team

Just watched, not very good but they did escape the disaster the first half threatened.

The good:

Ghost of Tsushima looks awesome.
Nice to see La Seydoux and Lindsay Wagner in Death Stranding.
Control looks great.
Nioh 2 is obviously a long way off but was a nice surprise.

The bad:

The production in general.
TLoU Part 2 will probably be great, but that demo was ridiculously scripted.
Still no idea what Death Stranding is.
RE2 was a little underwhelming.
No dates or release windows for the big games.
