I've been watching less and less anime for a few years now, I think? Now it's usually just 1-2 series followed week-by-week per season, plus the long-running stuff I still follow all the time like Kamen Rider and Yokai Watch.
Getting into vtubers early last year did make me read less novels and manga though... but I still buy new stuff at the same rate, so now I have a bit of a backlog built up.

Did they just announce a Hololive anime?
From the official site, it's a multimedia project with only a Twitter manga confirmed so far.

From what I can tell, its worth the investment. Keeping in mind though, I think the last two arcs are anime only since the manga was still ongoing at the time. But as "filler" goes, they're apparently top notch.
From what I remember, the filler materials are more like add-ons to the otherwise manga-accurate arcs. Happens twice in the series, one during the Silver Saints arc and one during the Poseidon arc. The latter one even stayed relevant in the franchise and spawned the Soul of Gold spinoff series.

Also, forgot to mention that the manga's real ending is only animated in the Hades OVA series, and isn't part of the anime show itself.

Is the '86 Saint Seiya worth the 100+ episode investment? It is on Netflix and I recall I think hearing it is good? The first episode was alright.
I really liked it as a kid, but it's a pretty slow-paced show with not much substance in the main story itself. Also drags on a bit during the middle part because of filler material. Probably will be worth it if you like the action or any of the five main characters though. I'd recommend the manga over the anime because it goes by way more quickly, but the art is... old.

There's also the CG movie Legend of Sanctuary that I really like just because of how awesome the animation is. It's a standalone work loosely based on the manga's third major arc (anime's fourth arc) and can be watched without any knowledge since it's completely unrelated to any other work in the franchise, though some characters and designs are radically different from the original material.

I sort of have one. The final two arcs and the movie for Bodacious Space Pirates were all anime-original content, and those were honestly the best parts of the anime. I don't know if it was better than where the story would have gone if it stuck to the light novel (because I just generally don't read manga or light novels) but I at least know that it was significantly better than the early part of the series that originally followed the source.

From what I heard some time ago, the anime followed the novel somewhat closely up to volume 3 or 4 (out of 7 volumes available at the time), then diverged at episode 19. Having read up to volume 3 so far, I'd say the novel is pretty slow-paced and feels like it's still in the "intro" phase, so reaching a conclusive-enough original ending would probably feel better for the anime.

This makes me very sad. It looks BAAAAD for a theatrical Ghibli film.
Huh, that's Ghibli? It doesn't necessarily look bad, but considering how strong they are with 2D animation and elaborate backgrounds, the 3D just doesn't measure up, for sure.

The Ice Witch doesn't need magic, only fists and legs.

The video games like to delve into what-if scenarios, e.g. in one of them Spike the Devil Man stops Frieza and King Cold when they come to Earth.
The Supersonic Warriors games on GBA and DS had short what-if story campaigns for all playable characters. The DS one even had some route splits and alternate endings.
English translation was a bit censored when it comes to references of death and killing, but they're still pretty fun.

Just finished binging a show called Kamisama no Memochou, or Heaven's Memo Pad. Wew boy do I have mixed feelings about this show.

Haven't really watched the anime version, but I did read 3 volumes of the novel way back in the day.
Pretty much one of the first few mystery genre stuff aside from Detective Conan that I've read, and I thought it was pretty fun.
Volume 3 was my favorite arc out of the three, but the anime covered up to just volume 2, I think? Because I've seen spoilers and it ends with Ayaka waking from her coma, same as the beginning of volume 3.
That was part of the reason why I never watched the anime past episode 1, which I'm pretty sure was anime-original aside from character introductions.

Also don't really remember any prominent shipping between Narumi and Alice in particular though. I thought it was made pretty clear that the dude is interested in Ayaka. (Then again, it's been almost 10 years since I've read them)

I can't remember if this was true or not, but I remember hearing that the P5 anime didn't even actually finish the story.
Oh, yeah, it was finished in two special episodes some time after the series finished airing.

Persona 4 also did that, finished the game's true end in a movie.

The Persona 5 anime can come off as rushed to those who have played the game because the game's life sim mechanics make it generally slower-paced. The anime goes straight to the main plot a lot faster whereas in the game you have a lot of downtime before the "arcs."

One thing that got cut down a lot is the "Confidants" aspect of the game, where you spend time with (mostly) non-story characters and deepen the MC's bonds with them. This aspect got trimmed down for time in the Persona 3 movies, too.
