I've watched iM@S Xenoglossia before, but it's been so long that I've forgotten most of it. I remember it being pretty standard but liking it well enough though. The OP and ED themes were pretty good too, I guess.

It was out like 4 years before the normal iM@S anime adaptation, and used different voice actors for all the characters. I'd guess those were why it wasn't quite well-received by pre-existing iM@S fans at first.

On a side note, the series also released albums with the voice actors covering old mecha series' songs. I especially like Makoto/Kitamura Eri's cover of Honoo no Sadame.

For the next season I'll probably binge watch this season's stuff I haven't watched yet (To Your Eternity, Vivy, Shadows House, Super Cub, Odd Taxi, Nomad) during the long holiday period, and follow Aquatope Of White Sand, Getter Robo Arc, and Dragon Maid 2 weekly.

Other stuff I might or might not follow are Detective Is Already Dead, Jahy, Remake Our Life!, and Seirei Gensouki. These will depend on whether or not the adaptation is done well.

sasameki koto season 2 would be continuation of the year award if you ask me
Man, I haven't seen that title mentioned in a long time. One of the first yuri mangas I've read, would like the anime to have a continuation as well.

Ayy, Gravity Rush 2. Nice pick.

I'd say Gundam Unicorn needs a fair bit of context going in because it's pretty much the "latest" work in its continuity (barring the NT movie and the upcoming sequel projects), but supposedly people have watched the OVA series just fine without knowing anything.
(By "latest," I mean there are works taking place after it like F91 and Victory but those have virtually no connection)

Also, yeah, it's got a great soundtrack. One of the first places I heard Sawano's music from, and I've been a fan of his orchestral stuff since.

shone jump fighting games or any animeish game where they try to go hyper realistic...
All Might with realistic teeth in Jump Force still haunts me to this day.

If it counts as "anime," there's Saint Seiya: Legend of Sanctuary that I'm glad they went full CG with, I guess.

Its animation and visual effects are way above all the other animated adaptations of the series, which already look pretty good for the most part. Pretty much carries the whole movie because the story is gonna feel super rushed, what with it covering about 6 manga volumes/30 anime episodes' worth of content.

Another season of Shakugan no Shana that covers the prequel story and the LN volumes season 2 skipped over would be nice, or maybe a remake of season 2 that covers the corresponding LN content properly instead of being largely anime-original. If anything, just a movie that covers the prequel content would be fine too.

Either that or another season of Log Horizon, when the author releases enough LN volumes (or WN content) to make one. If he sticks to the original plan of ending the series at about volume 15, then another 2-cour anime season should be enough to cover the whole story, too.
