Got the Steam Controller. Was unsure, watched the video, and since I can't play most PC games right now after an accident (I can lay down and game, but sitting and gaming on a PC hurts my back), I'm sold on being able to use it as a good mouse alternative.

It's because it's going to go up. I expect it to cost at least $15/month by the time my subscription ends. I expect at least $10 by 2021 and no discounts.

I think the Do Not Call Registry also doesn't stop calls where they have a business relationship with you. In this case, if the caller believes you owe them money, that's a business relationship.

One at-fault, and as a reward I received three years of derailed finances thanks to my insurance premiums doubling. Thanks, California.

(I'd be less salty about it if the accident itself was less ridiculous - I hit someone from behind and totalled my own car, while they got away with a scuffed bumper.)

I got one better. I turned left on my green left turn light. I was hit by another car. I was at fault automatically for "making an unsafe turn" because I assumed that hey, I have the green light, I have right of way. My insurance was ridiculous after that and no lawyer wanted to defend me on this. Then I remembered something a DMV examiner told me - right of way is only a recommendation in California, not a law.

I've been in 4 accidents; 3 while I was driving, 1 "at fault".

I'm turning 30 in a few weeks. I would like to go on a trip for about 3-4 days. What are some good places I should visit? I was considering New York City but the flights are too expensive. Thinking of seeing more of the East Coast but I don't know where, or possibly going on a road trip in the West Coast/Southwest. I don't think 3-4 days is enough for an international trip, except maybe to Canada.

I mostly like sightseeing. I like visiting major cities and natural places. I'm not into cruises.

I live in Southern California and I've been to the following places in the US and Canada:
California - Feels like everywhere
Nevada - Las Vegas, Lake Tahoe, Carson City
Arizona - Grand Canyon, Phoenix, Flagstaff, Sedona
Utah - Arches and Monument Valley

Pacific Northwest - Seattle, Portland
East Coast - New York City, Washington DC, Boston, Baltimore
Midwest - Chicago, Twin Cities, Madison
Canada - Vancouver

Rich people can just ignore and pay speeding tickets? Is California weird in that it adds points to your record and you can have your license suspended or revoked if you get too many? It doesn't matter how much money you have to pay the tickets if you get points that can restrict your ability to drive legally.

I'm disappointed that this topic exists. If you want to block him, block him. Or don't. I don't know why that needs to be public. I'm surprised this isn't considered harassment.

I've had problems with Ulti before, in fact, I almost left the board because of him attacking me and calling me out (we're fine now though, I have nothing against him). But I thought we all matured since then but I guess not. Even if Ulti is antagonizing people (I really don't know, I don't visit this board much anymore), it still seems unnecessary to have a topic like this.

Have they said anything about whether you can share an account across a normal Switch and a Switch Lite? If you can't I have pretty much no interest; I'm not gonna partition my games across two systems.

The thing they're going for is cost. If all someone wants to do is get a portable system, this is a good choice. Why spend the extra $100 for a dock and features you don't need when you could spend less and get just a portable system?

Most of the people I see complaining about it are people that already have a Switch. This isn't meant for them. It's meant for people that don't want to spend $300 and/or don't care about docked mode that don't have a Switch yet.

I like them. Working at a school district in several schools, I'm around them a lot and they've always been nice to me.

I don't want any kids in the foreseeable future though, because I don't feel ready for the responsibility and I don't feel I can take on that responsibility anytime soon.

It's probably regional. I remember someone around the LA area saying they were going to get charged for any necessary procedures for a stray animal so they ended up having it be put down because they couldn't afford it and couldn't take an animal in.

I'm against the income disparity too, but based on this article, it wouldn't help that much. $38 for a year isn't a lot. Though this doesn't take into account things like stock options and other non-cash benefits.

With that said, I think Walmart can do more to improve conditions and pay for their employees. Amazon can do even more. Walmart has the excuse that they have to maintain stores and stores are expensive, but Amazon really doesn't.
